I have just updated my iphone 4 to software version 5.1.1.
Having done this i have lost most of my photos and messages as i had not synched my phone since October 2011.
Surely they still exist somewhere on the phones memory? Can they be restored?
They are not showing up in the "Capacity" bar in Itunes.

When i updated my new iPhone OS to the new system, i had to end up doing a restore. This wiped out all my info and while i have a backup on the computer. I can seem to find a way to recover old text messages via the iMessage platform. Is there any way to recover some of those old conversations? Some have sentimental value to them.

My phone will no longer make or receive calls and I can't text after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. I've tried everything except chucking the phone out the window. I have reset it multiple times, turned it off and back on, reset the network settings, reset all settings, toggled the airplane mode switch, and done a complete factory restoration. What else is there to do? I can't get a new phone for another year.

However, I'm able to call or send texts messages to them just not the other way around. The only temporary solutions that worked for me so far was restarting my phone but a few minutes later I won't be able to receive calls or texts again.

I done the new update on my Xperia x10, and have had this problem since.. Individual sms messages will delete, but the conversation name (or Draft) stays there in the main viewing screen......Does anyone know how to get them to delete? I have used MyBackup to backup and restore messages to see if it refreshes, but the empty conversations keep coming back .
Basically, last night I had a blinking update sign on my N900. I clicked to update as I normally do. The update was 100% successful (Before this, my last update was on 20th April 2010).
As the phone re-booted itself I checked my messages and found that all my new messages have vanished from my Conversations & recently added contacts between 20th April - 28th May (last night)!!! ;0(
I contacted Nokia and they said there is a way to retrieve these but when I took it to a Nokia Centre (in Carphone Warehouse) they said they will need to reboot the whole thing and everything will be deleted!

Will do a software update on my elm, but a bit confused on where to store my received and sent messages so that they are not lost. I currently have them in phone memory, but should I move them to memory card? I actually tried that, but the phone said that the messages will be lost if the software is updated, but in the update software program it says the phone memory will be lost by upgrading.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI followed all the instructions on updating to Android 2.1 and I did not have any error messages in the process. When I boot my X10, I am still at Android 1.6. Worse yet, the backup/restore application does not restore everything. I have to reconfigure my main screens and the worse of it is my Touchdown client needs to be reconfigured for exchange sync and I have to reconfigure it and re-download everything again. How can I diagnose why my android doesn't update? I am using Windows 7 x64.The process looked like it was working, but I see the following in the driverinstaller_install_usbflashdriver.log file:

Title says it all I hate it. I get them during calls and I can't text cuz then it will happen anytime.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHave had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.
