Will do a software update on my elm, but a bit confused on where to store my received and sent messages so that they are not lost. I currently have them in phone memory, but should I move them to memory card? I actually tried that, but the phone said that the messages will be lost if the software is updated, but in the update software program it says the phone memory will be lost by upgrading.

When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.

View 1 Replies View Relateda couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy W595 has stopped recieving messages. My SIM works fine in other phones & can recieve messages. I have been onto my network (3 Ireland) & they have gone through all the possibilities form a network perspective & a phone perspective (as far as was possible) to no avail. It is not the service centre number (I went through that with the network provider) & I have tried resetting the phone but it still didn't work. I have no saved messages or any messages in my inbox, outbox or drafts & I have 21MB of memory left on the phone & 1891 MB left on the memory card so I don't think it's memory issue. I can send SMS messages without a problem but I cannot recieve any. Would anyone be able to advise as to what the problem is? The phone is still under warranty so I'll get it replaced if necessary but this forum may be an easier & quicker way to get this problem taken care of.

The top right hand corner bar never moves to "confirm" it just stays at "connect". Can anyone kindly help me? I really don't want to make a trip down to the Service Center as updating of software takes more than a week!

I have a W395 with a smashed screen. I've been trying all sorts to get the text messages off it but to no avail. It usually involves sending me a text message with a verification code or something, but I can't read the text. I was going to try forwarding the messages to O2's bluebook but I can only see the bottom, left half of the screen faintly and can't quite see which buttons I should be pressing.

Then a few minutes later all of my messages disappeared! So now I have no contacts and no messages. I got my mum to call my phone and it just came up as her number, I then pressed to view my call list and it said it was empty!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am about 12-13 months in to an 18 month contract with 3. My W595 has recently started to play up. It is a random occurrence so I cannot just take it in to a shop and show what is happening and going wrong. I have over 290 contacts and details in my phone. Sometimes when I reach for my phone and press the down button to get to my contacts there is nothing there apart from New Contact and My Numbers. All of the contacts have disappeared. Not only do the contacts disappear but so do all the stored text messages that I want to keep a bit longer before deleting. Fortunately I meticulously back my phone up using PC Suite so at least I can get them back again, but that in it self has it's problems, which I will explain further down. My contacts are stored in the phone memory, (there too many to store on the SIM). All other data, such as the calender, photos and notes remain intact and OK, I can only surmise that this data is stored away from the phone memory on the SD card so it cannot "disappear" in the same way.
I have reported this to 3 tech support but all they do is get me to check for updates to the phone software, (which happens to be current anyway). I just reinstall using the update facility and be done with it. The crazy thing is that because my confidence level is so low at the moment, I have to cart my laptop with me when I go away for wekends, just in case I lose everything again. The phone and the laptop have to be kept together for obvious reasons. The problem was reported to 3 well before the 12 month warranty ran out so any more reported problems that are connected will be covered in the event of a claim being made. They won't send a replacement phone whilst my own phone is away for analysis. I cannot do without the phone and the contents.
I have made my mind up to leave 3 at the end of the contract and I do not want another Sony Ericsson phone - I want to go back to Nokia, I never had any trouble with them. At the moment, I just feel as though I am limping with this W595 to the end of a painful 18 months. Has, or is anyone else experiencing similar problems with their W595? PC Suite Problem. My main problem with PC Suite when used in conjunction with my Sony Ericsson W595 phone is that there is no facility to produce a hard copy or print of the contacts list. I will need to do this when I change phones at the end of my contract to make it easier to input them into the new phone, (which hopefully will be a Nokia!). The only method that I have found is to do a "Print Screen" or a Screen Capture. Of course this has to be done several times to be able to cover nearly 300 contacts and all their input details.
About 2 weeks ago I purchased a new Spiro mobile phone. Apart from the occasional problem of the screen going black and restarting I didn't have any problems in particular.That is until this Saturday. I was having a discussion with a friend via sms. Everything was working fine until the phone stopped sending sms. It also hasn't been able to since then. I can normally write the message, and when I press Continue I normally go to the sending screen. However, when I press Send I return to the Messages screen and the message I just composed is nowhere to be found. Neither in Drafts nor in Sent. And of course it isn't sent to the receiver. As you can understand I am by no means able to send an sms message to anyone because of this. Along with this problem, since this Saturday any sms that I receive appear as blank when I open them in Inbox. As a result I can't read messages either (apart from the first words shown in the Inbox screen under the name) And that's it, I can neither send nor read sms messages with my Spiro. That makes my phone pretty much useless when it comes to messaging. I would very much appreciate any help or advice on how to fix this problem. I would also appreciate any information regarding the cause of this problem.I do not believe my network provider is responsible as my old phone (W810i) can normally send and receive sms messages.

I've tried a couple different networks, but they don't seem to work. And also, I also don't know how to send picture messages. It tells me to set up some sort of account.

The colorful do not move when the music player is playing a track. Settings tab should be more simply and independent from other applications. More themes. A design just like Aino. And some many other things. That all users of Satio phones can suggest in this post.
