BB Software :: Lost Photos Whilst Doing A Backup On Old Bold?
Sep 29, 2011I backed up my old BB Curve last week before I went into town to get the new BB Bold.When I came home I did the switching devices thing on my computer with both phones.They both have separate memory cards in but the Curve had all my old stuff; camera pics, voice notes and vids.Since backing up the Curve or switching devices to the Bold all that has disappeared!I thought that was the whole point of backing up something was to not loose it all, but it seems to have done exactly that! I can only assume that all of those were saved on the memory card not the phone, but I'm not sure, what is the default setting, and why it has disappeared in the first place!

Aug 10, 2010Ok so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?

Jul 31, 2014I have recently noticed that whilst playing Spotify (and also after) media server seems to be using up lots of my batter. All my Spotify songs are saved onto my SD card, and I understand mediaserver plays a part in playing the songs but I was wondering if it is normal to have such a high percentage? I used to have amazing battery life on my M8 but ever since buying this SD card it seems to have taken a tumble.

Jan 4, 2015I've had my Moto X for a couple of weeks and have noticed that it seems to drain battery strangely quickly when in Airplane mode and with the screen turned off. I leave my phone in this state while at work.
This morning, I put my phone away for over 3.5 hours in this state. After this 3.5 hours with screen off and airplane mode on, the battery had drained from 100% to 92%. The only 2 entries in the battery use screen were Phone Idle (1%) and Google Services (1% with a couple minutes of GPS and CPU usage which probably accounts for the amount of time it took for me to walk from my car to the office). See attached screenshots for details.
It seems like 8% of battery use over 3.5 hours in airplane mode with almost 0 screen on time is kind of excessive, particularly as no app or service reports using much battery use at all. How to fix or diagnose this? I've used wakelock detecting apps in the past but they've been kind of neutered since Kit Kat and I don't want to root my X to get proper stats.

Oct 11, 2012I have a strange problem with my 9810. Yesterday I pulled out my phone from charging at 7:AM (100%). I put it on GPRS , because i didn't did any browsing on that day and to see how much my battery will last. So after a few phones, sms, emails, I was down to 80% by 10PM. Was very happy with what I saw. In background were running Accuweather and Facebook with update once every 3 hours. Also I have Battery Bost MAX, and an application which shows me battery icon with procentage.(Smart Blndie). I am in an area with good signal. Put the phone in the holster, and went to bed. I was very courios to see what the battery shows. At 6 AM i was shocked : 42%... I can't blame it on the applications, because if there were their fault, my battery should discharge the same over day... GPS is off, wifi is off. The phone has 2 weeks (almost new). I am runing 7.1.0.658 OS.. My screen is at 10%, and turn off over 20 seconds...

Luckily, I had a wake up call to my room at 7am, because when I looked to see why my phone alarm didn't go off at 6:30am, it was completely dead. It took about a 15 minute initial charge just to get the phone to boot. I've never had that happen before. Is this common? Anyone else every have this? kept brightness to minimum
WiFi, mobile data, Bluetooth, GPS kept off
stopped unwanted services like FB, S finder, etc from App manager.
I mean all possible options.
It shows that Phone radio and network are draining my batter (as shown in attached images) Also how can screen brightness drain battery when kept idle screen locked mode overnight? (as shown in attached images). I have attached screenshots when I found 69% battery remaining in the morning (kept at 100% at night)
Note 1: During day battery performs normally even with WiFi and data
Note 2: Even when kept in ultra power saving mode overnight it drains around 20% battery

Dec 2, 2015My phone updated to version 5.1.1, and since then I no longer receive push notifications when the phone is connected to wifi but asleep. Waking the phone up - by swiping the screen - activates it and the messages come in. This is particularly diferent because MightyText doesn't work until I wake up the phone.
I have looked through all settings and cannot find a solution:
- power saving mode is off
- 'Keep wifi on during sleep' is set to 'Always'
- I have no battery saving apps on my phone.

Mar 7, 2014I've noticed lately that Nexus 5 won't notify emails while being asleep on wifi. It seems like n5 drops wifi connection after being asleep for a while.. Because like for example i have to run Skype all the time and the phone is asleep and on wifi i wake it up Skype status icon appears Offline and after 5 seconds being awake the status icon turn Online. At first i though it was Skype's bug but it seems like it affects the whole OS.

IPhone :: Lost %50 Battery Life While In Standby
Jun 2, 2012I noticed that after I installed the latest IOS 5.1.1 the battery life seems to deteriorated over the course of 1 week use.
The strangest thing happened yesterday. My phone was on %9 battery life and I decided to keep it as I was out and I put it in my pocket. In less than 10 minutes I pulled it out and it was dead, no responce. It actually chewed %9 percent while being on standby. No extras were turned on, bluetooth was off and wifi was off too.
Last night I went to bed and my phone was %53 percent charged and I left it locked next to my bed. I woke up this morning finding my phone completelly dead?
I will monitor it closelly over the next week but I had it for a year and this had never happened. The only common denominator is installing the new IOS.
