May 21, 2012After ten days with an SII it still is new territory for me. My major challenge is battery drain. It goes for about 36h although pretty much everything that may consume battery is turned off and I do not use it a lot. Under Settings -> Battery I can see that the phone quit often is awake--even during night when I definitely do not use it.lso, I noted that it has quite a bit of data traffic (I've noticed because of the sound in my pc speakers). So I wonder what's going on?nder Job list, nothing is shown, no program running. Under auto sync, all are turned off (I have a Google and an Exchange account installed). Under data traffic, I can see the major data sender and receiver is Exchange Auto Sync although I told it not to sync (and I rarely check e-mails, definitely not of the traffic size indicated).

Dec 2, 2015My phone updated to version 5.1.1, and since then I no longer receive push notifications when the phone is connected to wifi but asleep. Waking the phone up - by swiping the screen - activates it and the messages come in. This is particularly diferent because MightyText doesn't work until I wake up the phone.
I have looked through all settings and cannot find a solution:
- power saving mode is off
- 'Keep wifi on during sleep' is set to 'Always'
- I have no battery saving apps on my phone.

Mar 7, 2014I've noticed lately that Nexus 5 won't notify emails while being asleep on wifi. It seems like n5 drops wifi connection after being asleep for a while.. Because like for example i have to run Skype all the time and the phone is asleep and on wifi i wake it up Skype status icon appears Offline and after 5 seconds being awake the status icon turn Online. At first i though it was Skype's bug but it seems like it affects the whole OS.

Jan 23, 2010I love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed

Jul 14, 2010I use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."
Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.
