since my lock button broke (currently sorting this out with insurance) i havnt been able to screenshot anything. i have browsed the app store and couldnt find anything. i was wondering if anyone knew of any on the app store as i havnt jailbroken.

View 16 Replies View RelatedBasically I'm having some issues with my HTC Sensation, and I was just wondering if it was a common problem or if it's completely unheard of. What's happening is that whenever I press the home button on the bottom of the handset, it will take a screen capture (even when I don't press the lock button). It's kinda tempremental, however it's doing it about 3 times a day...and the only way to stop it is by restarting the phone!I have done a factory reset on the phone and updated all its software but that hasen't seemed to in the slightest.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk. So my lock button stopped working on my iPhone 4 yesterday. It was 'sticky' (not clicking very well) for a few hours now it ceases to even work.
I also have a cracked screen (which occured 3 months ago now) that I tried to get replaced. Unfortunately they weren't happy that day or something and didn't grant me the one time free replacement that they seem to be giving out everywhere else. Anyway, so I decided not to pay the $180 because the crack isn't too big and it doesn't stretch too far onto the actual LCD screen.
So my question is... If I go to the Apple store regarding the lock button, will they deny me a free replacement because the screen is cracked and they will just pin the blame on that? I am still within the one year warranty too.
Also, for future reference, does a cracked screen void the free warranty replacement for any problems encountered, whether it be hardware, software or mechanically related?

I have the Iphone 4s, my screen has been cracked since 2 months after i got it in November 2011, 3 days ago my lock button started acting funny, now it is completely stuck. I went to apple store today and they will NOT replace it because the screen is cracked and the damage could have affected the button. How could all of a sudden a cracked screen make a button stuck completely? I have read alot of reviews about how some apple techs will replace your phone, and others make you pay the 200$ to get a new one. Why should i have to pay 200$ for something that is apples error? The screen crack isn't even bad?

Doesnt show anything but siri works, and makes noise. There has been a similar thread and the solution was to restart the phone by holding down the lock and home button at the same time but my lock button doesnt work !!

Whenever I lock the screen, and then get a text message, the screen will stay lit for a really long time. Like longer than it used to. I usually have to end up pressing the lock button to make it go off, but not until it I realize that it's been lit for a long time.

My iphone 5 screen just stopped responding to any touch stimuli. The home button works, and Siri works, but I cannot use the screen at all. Also, my lock button hasn't worked in a few months, so I've been using Assistive Touch to lock and power down my phone. I was hoping to try to reset my phone (home+lock) and see if that worked the screen issue, but I can't find a way to power down. Any tips? Should I restore the phone with iTunes? Or is this the end of the line for my phone?

A User have a problem that he puts his Blackberry in his pockets and it could be that the on/off Button gets accidentally pushed for some seconds and the Blackberry turns itself off.
Now he wants to disable the button while in screen lock.
The screen lock button is VERY sensitive. I unlocks in my pocket and pocket dials or even turns off all connections.

Only the glass broke, the LCD is intact and fully functional. Any idea on how much apple would charge to fix? A few months I broke the back glass and they fixed it for $30. Phone fell out of my pocket on a roller coaster, it stayed in one piece and will turn on but with no screen activity. To back up my phone itunes tells me it requires me to input the password. I can't stand how the bold 9700 has a screen lock button on top of it- on my old curve i set the side convenience button as the screen lock and to unlock the screen i had to hit two keys (since i didn't set a PW)... now all i have to do his hit the top button-- i've pocket dialed a bunch of people now just by accidentally pressing this button- is there any way to disable this top screen lock button?

My phone went out of battery and it turned off. So i plug the charger in and waited for it to restart. After restarting it, I realize there are several settings that ran away IE: My ringtone preferences and keyboard preferences. So far, I've already readjust it, But ever since the phone restarted like that, I can no longer lock my screen, not even if it times out itself after 15 seconds. and when i press and hold the power off button, instead of showing the menu for options like "Silent phone"/Flight mode"/"Shut down" it only shows power off. What can i do to get the original settings back ?
Every the lock button is pressed the screen turns back on by itself after a few seconds. The same thing happens when the phone is left to timeout. This started occurring after I left my phone to charge overnight and it hasn't stopped since. I've tried running it in safe mode, but the problem still occurs. I have also tried factory resetting, clearing cache, and a simple restart.
