BB Bold :: Showing Battery Sign With Red X Through It After Water Damage
Apr 8, 2012I actually dropped my phone in the sink while the tap was running and water got into it. I quickly took out the battery and dried it off and threw it into a bowl of rice and let it sit there for about a full day. Now when I tried turning it on, nothing happened.... didn't even boot, nothing. After about 2 days of it sitting in rice, it actually shows a RED X through a battery and I'm not sure what that means... does it mean the battery is dead, or there is severe water damage. The way I thought about it is if the screen shows an image... then the phone must be working... because its displaying an image, so I'm leaning towards thinking the battery must be completely depleted.

I know how to use the memory clear app built in to my BB, I also have Boost memory, I know how to click the browser and then options tik the bottom 2 boxes plus all the rest, I've pulled battery, I also have Bejoose. This just started the last couple days. Its really frustrating to try to type something in an email or FB and have it freeze up for a minute or so.

May 12, 2010my bb 8110 was working fine, the battery went low and i plugged in the charger, it then shut off and the 'no battery' sign comes on. i took out the battery and re-insert and still the same thing....it has been working with this battery from day one...what is the problem now and what do i do!!!

Apr 23, 2012Even if my phone has been lying unused on the charger, if I want to start using it I get the "hourglass" sign that shows the phone is busy downloading something. I don't understand this as it happens even if I want to look up a contact. I can't dial or open a message or anything for up to two minutes while I wait for the phone to finish whaterver it is doing. It also drains the battery as I only get a half day's life out of the battery, even if I only used the phone minimally.

May 17, 2012In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: [URL]. After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files.
So I do the following:
1. Uninstall the original carrier OS from pc.
2. Install OS from different carrier to pc.
3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found.
4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS.
5. Reload the OS.
But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so I presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error.

Nov 2, 2015I have google nexus 5 32gb and recently i my phone has started behaving very weird. My phone batter died and it switched off and after a few moments when i reached home i plugged in a charger and my phone wont show me charging sign nor it will turn up so i left it on charge for a couple of hours and returned to try the same switching on method and still it wont turn on. So started googling this problem and i came across a forum where it showed me to hard booth by pressing the volume down and power button.
Magically it did not work for me so i made an appoint to go and see LG Service Store and suddenly my phone turned on so i thought the problem was solved untill it happened again and again and again so now if my phone switches off i am not very sure if it would turn back on. As this is a very random problem and i am unable to solve it while the phone is on and if i charge it before the battery reaches the critical levels and shuts on its own i am just fine.
What can be the issue as battery works the whole day of medium to low use and also other hardware happens to function well without any hanging complaints. Also my phone randomly switches off if i am playing some game as it gets heated and the same story of phone not booting.

Nov 26, 2011My phone has been off for the past 5 days and wen i switched it on this morning it would not switch on. I've removed the battery, put it back in and it still wont switch on.
