So I updated to iOS 5.1.1 yesterday afternoon via an OTA update and ever since, iCloud and Twitter have been unselectable options in Settings.app.
I've hard-resetted the device numerous times, but still no avail.

I'm updating my Bold to the latest OS and I get to the Application Loader then it goes to communication port selection but the field is blank. Any idea what to do? I remember doing something with my old curve like rebooting it then plugging it back in in a certain time but I can't find anything about that anymore. So, any ideas?

However, if a paid version is the best, then I will purchase it that.
You can suggest Apple App Store apps or Cydia apps. I have an iPhone 3G jailbroke with blackrain.

I have within the last few days, changed my password on my Twitter account. I went to the settings app on my 4S and went to the Twitter section and went to log in with my new details for my account, but it wont let me log in. I can enter my Twitter usernam and password and I get the 4 ticks appare on the screen and then when I go to my Twitter app I get a message to go back to the settings app and re-enter my Twitter password. This I have done now several times and still nothing. I have all so tried to un-install the app and remove my details from the Twitter section in the settings app and then log all in again and it still does not work. I have done this in several different ways including performing a soft reset on the phone and clearing out the cache and cookies in the phone and still it wont let me log in.
The one thing that I have noticed is that, on my iPad, it all worked OK, but in the Twitter section in the settings where you enter your details, above the line that has my user name in it has my name in it but it it greyed out. On my iPhone this section is grey but I am unable to enter my name and nor does it show up after I have logged in. I all so get a pop up message saying that either my username or password is wrong but it works OK on iPad.

It's kinda aggravating seeing as the camera is much better than the earlier iPhone versions. I'm guessing when the Twitter apps are updated to be iPhone 4 friendly this will be fixed, but I'm kinda wondering why it's being degraded...even video quality looks HORRIBLE when uploaded to twitvid or yfrog

All of a sudden Twitter has stopped working on my phone. Whenever I click on the app twitter loads to blank white screen with a blue bar acoss the top. Also when I try to go into the twitter settings menu it freezes and I have to go back to the home screen and end the settngs process before I can use it again.
I've tried deleting and re-installing the app, turning phone on and off, resetting the network settings and restoring from a back up and nothing works. I also tried downloading Echofon, another twitter app which wouldn't work either which suggests the problem is with the phone.

I would like to sync my iPhone to iCloud (since MobileMe is about to be removed) for backup, but my desktop Mac doesn't connect to iCloud as I run Snow Leopard (not running Lion, and I have no intention of installing Lion, having heard how many problems that caused to my friends).Having tried to sync to iCloud with the phone, I'm now unable to sync with my desktop iCal or Address Book. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently got a torch 9800, but when I try to access Twitter it comes up with "java.lang.ClassCast Exception" and when I try to log into facebook it says "we cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100)" Other applications that use the internet seem to work ok. It's just these two. I have tried deleting them, but when I go to install them, it asks if I want to reinstall, so it obviously didn't get rid of them completely. I even did a hard restart after deleting, by taking the battery out whilst still on, and not reinserting it for about a minute.
