Has anyone else noticed that uploads from the iPhone 4 are degraded when posting them to a site such as Twitter or Facebook directly from the iPhone? It's kinda aggravating seeing as the camera is much better than the earlier iPhone versions. I'm guessing when the Twitter apps are updated to be iPhone 4 friendly this will be fixed, but I'm kinda wondering why it's being degraded...even video quality looks HORRIBLE when uploaded to twitvid or yfrog
When I bought my iPhone 4S the battery life was pretty poor compared to my 3GS and other friends' 4S.
I got it replaced under warranty and battery life was great.
Fast forward 8 months. Recently, after the LinkedIn password leak, I decided to revisit all my online accounts and update/change passwords (using 1Password). My AppleId was one of those that I changed.
Naturally as soon as I did that, all my iDevices started prompting for password for access to iMessage, iCloud, iTunes, etc... it didnt work 100% smoothly - the password was rejected a couple of times and some services got disabled. I ended up changing the password everywhere that I remember needed it, re-enabled iMessage and the like... and everything seems to be working ok.
However, since then, my iPhone 4S battery life has been terrible. Literally, thats the only thing that has changed.
The day previous it was fine - maybe 50% by the end of the working day with moderate usage. Now its 50% by lunchtime, and wont last the working day without a top-up.
My guess is that something is consuming too much cpu - and hence compromising battery life
I havent done a complete reset (erase/restore) - but have obviously done various power on/off cycles.
I recently upgraded my phone to the latest firmware and there have been many, many good features such as the revamped map system. However, there are 2 major issues, the first being that the battery life has degraded. Its so bad that I charge it and sometimes it doesnt last a day. I dont know if anyone else has this problem? But its somewhat annoying, is there something that can be done about it? Also, the phone has gotten somewhat slower as well
when I use the phone while plugged in, scrolling around on the screen sucks. As I swipe on screen, it sometimes won't swipe but will just launch apps that your finger touched last during the swipe. If I swipe slow, it seems to help but sometimes refuses to move and will just launch what ever y finger was touching last when I lift off the screen. It's really annoying and makes the phone useless plugged in because you can't navigate the phone consistently. When I unplug it, it works flawlessly. It's instantly better.
Yesterday i updated my phone to android 2.1 through pc companion and it took almost half an hour. It was a success but when i switched it on, after sony ericsson written on it, it shows a camera logo sitting on top of a logo of the phone with an arrow pointing towards the phone, somethin like this: the arrow was glowing, i think it was to do something with the camera. I couldn't figure it out and after about 3-4 minutes, it booted up and the phone started. After that when i opened the camera, i found out that the picture was too much pixelated and bad quality even worse than before the update. i tried shooting some video in HD mode, the video also was too bad quality.
My Bionic has been wonderful since I got it in September. Starting (I think) yesterday, it is very slow.As an example, after I enter my 4 digit code, it sits for a second or two before I shows me the home screen.I also noticed that when I come back in, it's always on the main screen. It used to be one the screen that was showing when I turned it off.I was thinking it is probably some app update I got, but the homescreen thing makes me think not.Short of a master reset, does anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening, or how to trace it?
I am trying 2 upload photos 2 the facebook mobile site and am getting the message "sorry your browser does not support photo uploads" on the facebook page? This started last tuesday and never had a problem b4 then?
enever I try to upload photos through the built in photo uploading app (it doesn't matter what service I try to upload to) the photo fails to upload, giving an "Upload error" notification. When the notification is clicked I get the following error: "Can't send response now. Data services are unavailable."I've seen some people mention doing a full factory reset (on other Motorola DROID phones) and this possibly fixing the issue, but I would definitely like to avoid this at all costs.
I've turned on photo backup for onedrive on my new s6 edge, just like my galaxy s3 was. works like a charm. I understand it's a different operating system, but this one is chirping every time a photo uploads. i can't seem to turn it off seperately from the rest of the notifications.
All I really want to be notified of is email and text messages, both through the native application.
for about 3 months my phone has been able to upload any picture on facebook and now whenever i try to upload a picture from my bb it'll allow me to pick it and it will upload but the whole bb freezes and the white screen comes on and says "app error: reset?" and i don't have an option but to click reset. i hate having to reset my blackberry over and over and i've even done a master reset where all my contacts pictures apps EVERYTHING got deleted in attempts to fix the problem but it won't work.
When you upload a photo from your phone to FB for example, do you notice that it uploads a very small compressed image? For example, using the native Gallery quick upload feature, i'm alerted that the photo is 2MB and needs to upload over WiFi, so it uploads. But then that same pic on FB ends up being only around 86KB. Uploading straight through the FB app is better, but still only around 325KB for the same image file. Is there any way around this at all?
Changed over from Droid X to newer DROID 4. When trying to share a photo to Photobucket, shows as queued up but it never uploads to Photobucket. I am logged into Photobucket, so it is not a login issue. Is there something in ICS that I have to enable to be able to upload pics in Facebook to my Photobucket account?
I am trying to get into this whole twitter thing and wanted to know what the best twitter client is for the iPhone, free or paid.Please, any suggestions would help because I don't want to spend unecessary money in the app store if a free version is that much better than a paid version. However, if a paid version is the best, then I will purchase it that.
You can suggest Apple App Store apps or Cydia apps. I have an iPhone 3G jailbroke with blackrain.
I have within the last few days, changed my password on my Twitter account. I went to the settings app on my 4S and went to the Twitter section and went to log in with my new details for my account, but it wont let me log in. I can enter my Twitter usernam and password and I get the 4 ticks appare on the screen and then when I go to my Twitter app I get a message to go back to the settings app and re-enter my Twitter password. This I have done now several times and still nothing. I have all so tried to un-install the app and remove my details from the Twitter section in the settings app and then log all in again and it still does not work. I have done this in several different ways including performing a soft reset on the phone and clearing out the cache and cookies in the phone and still it wont let me log in.
The one thing that I have noticed is that, on my iPad, it all worked OK, but in the Twitter section in the settings where you enter your details, above the line that has my user name in it has my name in it but it it greyed out. On my iPhone this section is grey but I am unable to enter my name and nor does it show up after I have logged in. I all so get a pop up message saying that either my username or password is wrong but it works OK on iPad.
anyone know why I would be getting just a blank screen in the twitter authentication plugin for lockinfo? first time using it but im assuming thats where I should be able to login to my twitter account for the plugin to use..?
All of a sudden Twitter has stopped working on my phone. Whenever I click on the app twitter loads to blank white screen with a blue bar acoss the top. Also when I try to go into the twitter settings menu it freezes and I have to go back to the home screen and end the settngs process before I can use it again.
I've tried deleting and re-installing the app, turning phone on and off, resetting the network settings and restoring from a back up and nothing works. I also tried downloading Echofon, another twitter app which wouldn't work either which suggests the problem is with the phone.
i recently updated my ios to 5.1 in iphone4 but after updated i'm unable to login on twitter...i delete it many times and then again reinstall it bt nothing happend and whenever i go to settings and tap on twitter,iphone got stuck until i press home button...
The official Twitter app is perfect aside from it's lack of push notifications for DM & Mentions. Does anyone know of a good Twitter app that includes push?

even though I set it on settings for my notifications to go off when I get a new mention or a message on twitte rmy notifications never go off and it did on my iPod 4G so I'm wondering why it isn't working for my iPhone 4
