IPhone :: Missed Calls Won't Display Names Instead Of Just Numbers
Jun 11, 2012I have an iPhone 4 running the latest iOS. I have the contacts with their phone numbers in my Contacts database. But when I get a missed call from them, I only see the numbers and not the name of the person who called, in the missed call notification. Only when I click on the number and it starts to dial them, then their names appear.

I have a MESSAGES folder in my screen when I hit the menu button and in this folder, my missed calls, my bberry messenger (contact my contact by text), and my email is synchd.There as well as in my chosen home screen folders. I understand my email being sent there but my missed calls go to that folder only as well as some of the messenger texts as I stated. I have to hit the menu button, then open a message folder with a mixture of different types of messages and then I have to search for my missed calls and messenger texts in a mix of email. Why are missed calls going there and my messenger text?

Sep 18, 2011I have same problem with my C7-00. It was working properly to display all caller id names those are stored with country code using + sign. I came from India to Singapore, changed my SIM, still it was working. After upgrading it with ANNA, it has stopped displaying names in calls, but works for SMS !!
There is no Duplication issue.
When I opened call with Nokia, surprisingly, I was told that this is a new issue they are having. But I am seeing so many people are struggling with it. I used *#7780# & *#7370#, but still same, problem is not resolved.
To c heck if it is subscriber issue, I put my SIM in another same model C7-00, which is still not upgraded with ANNA & there it works. Nokia supporter does not have solution to back to old software.

Oct 15, 2015I own a z5 premium dual.
I set the display to timeout 15 sec after inactivity. Whenever I have a call coming in, it vibrates and rings. But if I don't answer or reject it after 15 sec, the screen will turn off and vibration will stop at the meantime, although it keeps ringing and notification LED flashing.
Sometimes, when a call coming in, it shows a pop-up window, but all the sudden it switches to a full screen interface, and again no vibration at all.
It is very annoying because I have vibrate mode on all the time and put it on my work desk. I won't realise there's an incoming call if it doesn't show any notification.

Mar 7, 2014I've noticed lately that Nexus 5 won't notify emails while being asleep on wifi. It seems like n5 drops wifi connection after being asleep for a while.. Because like for example i have to run Skype all the time and the phone is asleep and on wifi i wake it up Skype status icon appears Offline and after 5 seconds being awake the status icon turn Online. At first i though it was Skype's bug but it seems like it affects the whole OS.

When Oren calls I see only "Oren 111" or "Oren 222" etc. I want to see "Oren Home 111" or "Oren Tomer 333".

Many names are duplicates, and I can distinguish between them only when I can see the company name as well. In my old blackberry, the contact name and company name used to be displayed. In my old android, there was an app which could do this.

Jun 26, 2015I have recently switched from my Note 4 Edge to S6 Edge. I love the phone and the form factor. Only thing I'm missing is the ability to take calls on the edge display. It was specially useful when using GPS and the call details would be on the edge display on the Note not hindering what's happening on the screen. The S6 does not have this capability. Samsung should really implement these features from Note 4 to S6 Edge. I know the S6 Edge does not have the size of the Note's display, but it can be done. Especially if your multi tasking.

May 19, 2011I was having problems with the Canadian dictionary, I wanted to remove miss spelled words I accidentally added. Funny I got it! There is a bit of a bug so I thought I would past anyway. While there are no added words under Language Settings > User dictionary (if you are using the Canadian dictionary) you get this message - "You do not have words in your dictionary you can add words through the menu" but if you switch to the US Dictionary you will find he words that have been added. Note. I use the predictive text as a spell checker and I am impressed. Got to settings > Language & input >configure input methods > Settings > change Auto correction to aggressive. Only issue is added words are not added to the default language dictionary but the US one.

Aug 14, 2010I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?

On the motoactv web app Under Display Preferences/Data Format, there is only dd/MM/yyyy and MM/dd/yyyy. Please provide the more sane unabiguous yyyy/mm/dd format so this can be consistent.) Display Units My Display Units are set to Metric. However on the MotoACTV web app when I select Workouts/Latest Workout/Workout Stats, the distance and pacing are recorded in km, but the elevation shows in ft. I am not sure at this point if it is the 'ft' label is wrong, or the actual numeric display and/or conversion is wrong, but you guys I'm sure can figure this out. You can verify this here:
