I can use most computers, software programs, etc., but I am unclear as to how certain things work. I was hoping someone could explain how VPN services work & how secure these services are when using the iPhone as a mobile hotspot?

i am currently at outside of my country and i was using BBM and other softwares over wifi without any problems and i upgraded my OS to latest (593) and than i can access only internet browsing. BBM - facebook - twitter doesnt connects to the internet.
whats wrong with it? my data services are only wifi because of high charges of gprs while i am outside of my country and it has no problem before upgrading.
im ain.its really maing my head hurt when my bb internet service wont work. emel cant come in,my bbm is not connected,and i cant use any bb apps at all!! i jus changed the service provider from maxis to celcom. so since the celcom line was activated few days ago, that moment my bis didnt work.

I have SBSettings installed and obviously openSSH, amongst other things.Whenever I switch my phone on SSH and location services seem to switch themselves on. I am an iPhone 4 user with the most recent iOS update. I frequently use the Facebook application. As of recently I am unable to upload new photos. The status bar reads complete, however, nothing happens. I was told to check my Location Services to verify I had it turned on for the FB app, however, upon doing this I realized the application no longer even shows up as an option within the Location Services. I'm guessing this to be part of the issue, however, I have zero clue as to why it no longer shows up period vs just having it accidentally switched off.
