My home button has stopped responding entirely on 2 different phones. Tried restoring settings but this did not work on the first phone and had trouble restoring on the second.

I believe there a dirt inside or something like that, cause almost 1.5 year since I bought it.

I updated to the lollipop software or whatever it's called and my phone literally does nothing anymore it takes about a minute for it to respond to the home button being pressed, and I literally cant open a single app. I cant even get into settings whenever I hit anything on my phone, if my phone responds at all, i just get a black screen. For some reason my Xperia X10 Mini has decided to freeze and will not respond to anything, I can't even turn it off!! I was taking a photo and it's stuck in camera mode, it won't let me take a picture, or return to home page or turn it off. I can't take the battery out to reboot it either as thats built in. It's been like this for almost an hour and I can feel the little machine getting hot!

My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.
