Jul 9, 2010i have a nokia 5530 xm. i had some corrupted music files in my music library so i made a back up-file on the computer and erased everything on the memorycard.Then i loaded all the stuff back on the memorycard. But then almost all my apps were gone, so i tried to download them again. But i can't click the 'download' button (it's dark gray, like if you've already clicked it) so i think the ovi store remembers that i have downloaded the apps before and it's like i have got them on my phone but i have checked all the installed apps and all the installation files in the application manager but they aren't there.

Apr 1, 2012I updated my husband's iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 just now, and a huge chunk of his photos are missing. I believe the last time this phone was synced with any library, it was his library on his old computer. So, of our two computers, neither would have been a good choice for updating, since neither could be considered the original one it was synced with. My question is this: when iTunes updates software, it backs up and restores first, so why were all of his photos not backed up and restored during this process? He had about 500-600 photos and now he only has 241. Also his playlists are gone, music was gone, a bunch of stuff is now gone. I had to put some of it back manually. Needless to say I am in a bunch of trouble for this - I have been bugging him for months to update his phone so we could iMessage each other.

Dec 7, 2014I want to sell my iPhone 4 and need to do a factory restore to remove all my stuff. When I connect it to iTunes and click on the 'restore' button it insists on updating the software to 7.1.2 first, which the phone already has. At the end of the update I get a message saying that the update was unsuccessful as it was corrupted. But I don't need the software anyway!! Is there a way of by-passing this update so that I can just do the restore? I just want to clear off my stuff so that I can sell the phone.

Jun 5, 2012I just updated to iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4. Tried to put in ringtones or "tones" as I guess its now listed, and was given the message: "Are you sure you want to sync tones? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone "HP_Owner's iPhone" will be removed."
I couldn't see any other way to get ringtones, so I tried it anyway. The message wasn't lying. I immediately gained a lot of capacity back on the capacity bar from songs, etc. I somehow got out of it and the capacity returned. Do I need to go through it all again and figure out how to install an older iOS?

All I remember was it seemed like it may have been some kind of system type of download. Automatic download is turned off and whatever it downloaded did not install, it just downloaded and disappeared. It's not in download folder. So is there a way to find out what it was?

Try to take a pick it says failed to write file but if I switch storage to phone it'll take the pic. Tried to move stuff from SD to internal and it just cancels. I can still see my files that are on the SD card such as pictures and music and pulling that stuff up works fine. Also have 20 gigs available on the 32 gig SD card and like 28 available on the phone.
