Although my iPhone 3GS works fine with the bluetooth handsfree in my 2012 Toyota Kluger it doesn't seem to stream music or transfer contacts, whereas other smartphones will. Am I doing something wrong or is this an iPhone fail?

I have a 2011 Subaru Outback with the factory stereo. Bluetooth audio works great for me for calls and Siri. But I have yet to discover how streaming music works. I didn't think it was supported by my stereo at first, but then yesterday, out of the blue, my music app displayed the AirTunes logo and I could see the "CAR_MEDIA" name of my stereo listed there. I tried to select it and it disappeared and I haven't seen it since. Anyone else have this problem or know how to get music to stream through bluetooth?

iTunes and my 4s, I have a lot if music, I just wanted to ask if it's possible to stream these to my iPhone from my pc anywhere I go for instance going up the road shopping and I don't want to clog my iPhone up with tracks from iTunes. Even if it's a third party app id need to get, I think it would be a neat feature if not, I know irs possible indoors whilst in the same network as my pc but I wanted to see if I could do it from anywheres I go?

the problem as far as i can see from the iphone it self cause i can play the same easily from my android Motorola Defy

* reason of this operation, i have a good sound system connected to my laptop already.
I have an iPhone 5 and frequently listen to music on it. The problem is, I have an enormous music library in iTunes. I believe it's around 50 GB or so. I've heard bigger, but unfortunately my library is too big to physically reside in my iPhone's storage (which is 64GB). I pay for a 1TB Google Drive subscription. Would it be possible to load these songs on my iPhone 5?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a new (2012) car with BlueTooth. When I initiate pairing, I'm asked for 4-digit code displayed on the car. But before I can enter that code, the formular/screen exits and it says "Unable to connect" on my SGS2. Tried it 10 times with same result. After that it does actually connect (and works) with phone. But the music streaming is not an option. My other car has a Sony stereo which the SGS2 connects just fine to, both phone and music.i guess it's a compatibility issue between ICS BT and my new car's BT. What can I do besides cry at the car-dealer (where he will laugh and tell me to get another phone)?

I had no problems with Gingerbread.......it worked just fine. I tried FDR and got a slight improvement in that the music would stream but I would have to start it with the phone. Tried re-pairing phone and car which didn't work. I have experienced the music stream stopping after 1song or several songs.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing.After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem.It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
