Dec 1, 2011I have just downloaded all the new Blackberry Desktop updates and it still won't synchronise my outlook contacts with the Playbook. I have made a similar post before but got no answer that worked, come on guys please tel;l me how to get my Outlook (2010) contacta copied to my Playbook. Thjis problem is so frustrating . When I purchase the curve you were sble to swiftlt solve the problem telling me to use Synchamatic software but they have not got a similar solution for the Playbook, I have over 400 contacts please assist, I've waited over 6 months for a working solution.

Jan 11, 2010This has probably been covered, but i recently went to update OS to the 5.0, but while it was loading, the thing crashed and said a fatal error had occured. i had to go back to an older version, 4.6 i think, and now my contacts will not go in the contact list. I see them on my sim card, but when i try to copy all contacts to my contact list, it copies 1 contact, 8 times. its the damndest thing i have ever seen. i did not do a backup before the new install, my fault, but now i cannot get my contacts in my list. Has anyone had this problem or even heard of such. I called tech support, the only thing they said was it was probably a bad sim card, and to take it to the local repair store.

I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?

Dec 5, 2011I have been using Outlook 2010 for quite a while and then switched to Outlook 2011 with my former employer. The switch went very smooth and even on my BlackBerry I did not notice any difference. All contact pictures remained on the device and even when I added new ones it was synchronized to the device perfectly independently of the image size. Now I've changed jobs and with my new employer I've re-imported my contacts into Outlook 2011 again. From an Outlook 2011 perspective everything looks great, all pictures are there however they are not on my BlackBerry. Every new contact or every removed one will synchronize perfectly to my BlackBerry - only the contact pictures won't. I've tried inserting new ones, I've played around with image sizes as I've read something about certain limitations, I've spoken to the BES admin and he confirmed this feature has not been turned off on the BES.

Apr 5, 2012I got both my iPhone and iPad sychronized with my outlook exchange account in my company. This setting has been applied over a year and I re-added the account after i got a 4S. However, outlook contacts started to duplicate (some up to 10 times) from 8xxx contacts to 9xxxx contacts since 2 weeks ago. I didn't turn on iPad and I consulted the IT department they said they needed to disable activeSync on my account to test first. Do you know if it's iPhone/iPad problem or ActiveSync problem? What I can do? I did try to remove all contacts in Outlook and restored a backup (8xxx contacts) but after a while, the outlook contact started to duplicate again and even generated up to 6xxxx contacts again.

May 9, 2012I cannot sync my contacts with Outlook. iTunes says that it has synced contacts, but it has not. My Outlook contacts do not change to match my iPhone contacts and vice versa.
I am running iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit iTunes 10.6.1.7 Microsoft Outlook Professional Plus 2010 32-bit My Outlook calendar syncs just fine.
Also, I could not sync my contacts with Google either. Neither Outlook nor Google works. I have reinstalled iTunes and followed all of the directions found on this forum to no avail.

Jun 26, 2014I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7. When I input a contact into Outlook (Exchange), it syncs and shows up in my phone. But when I input a contact into the phone, it doesn't export to Outlook. I've confirmed that my exchange account is the default on Mail/Contacts/Calendars. I enter a lot of business contacts off of incoming phone calls and don't want to be limited to creating them on my laptop!
