iPhone users within our company are using Office365 for email, contact, calendars. They are facing a very ennoying problem : some contacts are present multiple times (sometime up to 10 times the same contact). We disables suggested contacts in Outlook 2010, upgraded to iOS 5.1.1, removed the account and recreated it. The problem reoccurs always but with different contacts. It seems there's no problem with mail nor calendar. The weired thing is that out of the 10 identical contacts, some are synced with outlook (so we get 2 or 3 times the same contact in Outlook)Also, one of our users says there's no problem with his iPad. What we also see is that is looks like the iPhone deletes all contacts and resyncs (eg: the names in the favorites desappear showing the phone number, then reappear)
Many of my contacts have been multiplied without any action from me. There are >150 copies of >50 contacts which can not be deleted. I assume the problem is linked to LinkedIn since all multiple contacts have the LinkedIn logo. Even contacts I have not added to my contacts have been copied, even those I don't have contact with in LinkedIn but suggested by LinkedIn. My email operator can't work.
So my service was shut off for 1 day because apparently it takes ROGERS more than 6 days to receive a payment made online...but that's another story. Got my service back on today and decided to reboot it and make sure the 3G and everything could fully reset. THEN I realize that my contacts are messed up, where some are completely missing, and others are multiplied 3,5,7 or 10 times! And this is not because there are multiple #'s under one contact - the same number and name is listed multiple times.
I had my original 2G iPhone for three years before updating to the iPhone 4. During that three years, I only used about 4 GB of cellular data, so I thought the whole "no more unlimited data" business was blown out of proportion.
Of course, with my old iPhone, I didn't have 3G, so I didn't stream a lot over the cellular network. I decided to try streaming music in my car for a few days on my one-hour-each-way commute to work and back.
I used it for about a week, before switching back to my iPod. I just checked my data usage, and in the three weeks or so that I've had my new iPhone, I have used 4 GB of data already!
That's right, in three weeks, I used the data that I took three years to use on my old iPhone! My data usage multiplied by 52!
That's crazy! Streaming certainly does make a huge difference.
How much data do you use? I just thought I would pose the question.
Hi , I need to display only Sim contacts in phone contacts option rather than contacts that are saved in memory card. According to me knowledge there is a bug in these cell phone perhaps if you have any old nokia phone you may find this option.
I have an IPhone that syncs to my Outlook 2010 via Exchange. The email and calendar syncs automatically. I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?
I have carefully entered the name and address for a store where I frequently shop. I told Siri to remind me to pick up coffe when I arrive at Trader Joe. Siri replies that she cannot find Trader Joe in my contacts. How can I make this super reminder function work?
I have my contacts synced to my phone via gmail. I would like to import ALL of my facebook contacts into my gmail/iPhone contacts. That way I would have other phone numbers available without having to load facebook app to find certain people.
I'm trying to organize my contacts and I want to replace all iphone contacts with address book contacts. every time I sync my phone it restores my old contacts.
When I try to sync my iPhone (via USB), I get: > iiTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone "xxxx's iPhone" because contacts have been disabled on the iPhone. How do I fix? I have an iPhone 3Gs running iOS 5.1.1, Lion 10.7.4 running iTunes 10.6.3
I'm trying to sync my iPhone contacts with windows contacts using iTunes. I keep getting the message "iTunes could not sync contacts with iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone." Internet connection is on. They used to sync before and one day they just stopped syncing.
I just bought an iPhone 5c and the dealer manually transferred all of my (gmail) contacts from my Samsung Galaxy. Now the contacts on my iPhone are no longer synced with my gmail account. If I make changes to a contact on my iPhone, that change does not show up on my laptop when I am logged into my gmail account.Â
Can I fix this by turning "on" the "Contacts" button under Settings > mail, contacts, calendars > Gmail > contacts > on?Â
When I attempt this it asks me what I want to do with the existing contacts on my phone. What do I want to do here? If I say leave the contacts on my phone will the contacts merge or will I end up with duplicates?
Trying to Sync via PC patch cable the BB Address Book (Contacts) with MS Outlook Contacts.Set-up failing apparently because wireless data sync with the Bold is turned ON. Can't locate referenced setting on the device to turn OFF.
When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4
My address book shows my both my email contacts and my phone number contacts. I just want to view my phone ook contacts and not the emails. How can i change this?!
Right now I have multipule contacts on my atrix that are "linked." Is there anyway to permanently consolidate all the linked contacts into one and export all my contacts as a csv file for outlook and gmail?
I've just upgraded to the Z5. My own number on my contacts list is set at 00 0000000000 and it won't let me edit it to change it! I've worked out how to manually sync contacts profile pics from FB onto my contacts list, but it won't let me do it on my own contact details. (Basically, in text messaging, pics of my contacts are there, but I can't link mine to do the same).
Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!
is is possible to limit the contacts display to the contacts stored in the phone only? If i have contacts on my SIM cards and in the phone the contact display lists all of them. I couldn't find an option to limit the display to the phone storage only. So i see duplicates. This is anoying. Even my 6 year old 3110 classic can do this! Nokia - where have you hidden this option?
When i synced contacts, the facebook contacts are not coming as phone contacts. So i cant use these contacts in many apps since they are not phone contacts. How to copy all contacts to phone contacts?
