Do you guys think I'll have luck within the next couple of days if I check with the stores each morning? Ordering on Apple.com has a 5-7 day wait and I'm hoping not to have to wait that long, because I am having some antenna issues and I'm deathly afraid of dropping the thing.

just simply boil your bumper case in water for 3mins now put back your snug beautiful case on iphone 4 and enjoy.
EDIT: just a tip. if the case floats, thats the sign remove it.
I was listening to TWiT today and Leo mentioned that Sarah Lane got a white bumper case today and it looked more gray than white. Like it was a bit dirty. Does it get dirty every time you put it in your pocket? Is it more gray than white? You happy with the color choice overall?

My findings so far is that it gets far worse reception and dropped calls than my 3GS. In fact, living in miami where ATT signal is strong, I never had any problems with dropped calls on my 3GS. I also have the proximity sensor issue and am wondering if I just received a bad phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI went and got a bumper case from my local apple store overall i actually like it a lot but there is one really frustrating problem. The only usb / charger cable that seems to fit into the dock port with the bumper case on is the apple one. I have a couple aftermarket usb cables tha ti use to charge it (one at work and a couple at home and one in my car) they all have just a slightly larger head on them than the stock apple one and will not fit into the dock port with the bumper case on. so is there something out there that is similar to or better than the bumper case which will free up my dock connector?

View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter recently buying a new Milestone outright I'm looking to protect the hell out of it. I currently have purchased a hard case for the phone itself (seidio innocase) as well as a screen protector.Now the next thing that I am looking for is a good Vertical case/pouch.The thing is that it must be vertical and it must be open at the top (I don't want a cover at all.I want to be able to slide the phone in and out easily). I also must have a belt clip on it.I have found a few online, but for what reviews that I have read stated that they are hard to get the phone in and out of when the phone is naked (no case on it). Since I am planning to have the phone in a hard case at all times that particular case will not work for me.
I have seen the pDair case and it looks good, but $28 USD plus shipping (to Canada) I want to make sure that the phone (in a hard case) will fit in it. I havn’t found any reviews on it as of yet either.I know that the iphone & Nexus One are about the same size as the Milestone and wonder if anyone has tried any of those cases with success? As I am sure (especially for the iphone) that there is a wider selection of cases available.
Many of us have no issue with the antenna. I happen to like the iPhone as it is- i don't want to hide a beautiful sculpture with a plastic cover.But Apple has offered me a bumper and I'm taking it. I justify it as I have a proximity sensor that still doesn't work, although a supposed fix is promised.
1) Is there going to be any market for these bumpers after everyone gets one? Will Apple take them back for credit (doubt it).
2) What bumper does one get if one really doesn't want a bumper- or one doesn't want to hide the iPhone? Even the Apple bumper hides the metal antenna, which I think is one of the coolest design features.
I ordered a bumper the same day I ordered my IPHONE 4 and it arrived yesterday. I installed the bumper and it looked and performed well all though it will not fit into the IPHONE 4 dock or the universal dock with a 3rd generation IPOD dock adaptor.
When I left for work this morning I put the phone with the bumper in my horizontal belt case. Well the fit was extremely tight. When I tried to pull the phone out I almost had to rip the bumper to get it out. NOTE: the IPHONE 4 without the bumper and my 3G fit perfectly in the case. Once I got the phone out I saw that the case with the bumper fit was so tight that the phone was in the "Shut Down" mode meaning that the ON/OFF button was pressed continuously while in my case.
So needless to say the bumper came off. I am going to keep it at work to put on my IPHONE 4 when I have to travel using my work vehicle. The bumper because of the design will keep the phone from sliding around on the console while driving thus preventing the back to get scratched up like my IPHONE 3G did.
Will it absorb the shock and stop the shattering of the front/back?Or do I need a case that covers the back, to minimize the possibilites?
View 16 Replies View RelatedJust an FYI for anyone still wondering on these ship times. My original order, placed the day they announced it, said it would not ship until the end of August. I just got an e-mail from Apple stating my order shipped, and will be delivered by August 3rd. Cool news, but I probably won't even use the thing as I don't appear to have any reception issues, and really like the look of the naked phone. The only real reason I'm thinking of using it, is to help protect the back a bit when setting it down on certain surfaces.

View 11 Replies View RelatedPosting because I don't know if anyone else has this same problem or not with cases. With my iPhone 3GS, I put an ifrog case on it and an encase. I also used a zagg shield. Worked great! After about 8 months of using that set up I noticed that dirt dust whatever gets in between the case and the phone and scratched he phone up pretty bad. My bezel is scratched, the plastic back is scratched. WTF. Now I am reluctant to use a hard case on my new iphone or iPad. Anyone else experience this?

My phone had no protective film at that time. My question is if the scratch is produced on the LCD display or on some cover that protects the display. In the service of Nokia, will they make me replace all the expensive LCD display, or just the cover that protects it?
The LCD is not damaged and the touchscreen works well, but the scratch on the screen is a bit annoying
When I searched around for iPhone cases, I couldn't find any that covered the buttons and the back of the phone. I also could not find any screen protectors. The only case was the Zagg stick-on case, and I don't really want that little shock protection. Does anyone know if there will be more cases by the 24th, when my iPhone is due?

View 7 Replies View RelatedGot my Defender the other day. I noticed that when the phone is in the case the proximity sensor stops working. I take the phone out and it work fine. I emailed Otterbox and the guy said to clean the plastic window. Really?? you dont think I tried that before sending the email? I am going to try my brothers case to see if its the case. My brother told me that he had the proximity sensor issue before the case and now his works fine. My last step is to reload 4.0.1 but I have to figure out how to get a video off the phone first.
