I have just installed iOS v5.1 on my 3GS hoping that it would stop the bluetooth dropouts when connected to my car. This still hasn't fixed it, with something like 19 dropouts and reconnections in 25 kilometers. This happens everyday, therefore have had to cancel bluetooth connections. This really is a safety concern when driving.

Since I upgraded my iPhone 4S to 5.1.1 I start having bluetooh dropouts on my Bury CC9060 which was working perfectly.
I thought it was aBury problem and took it to service, not finding anything wrong.Connected my old iPhone 4, and it is working perfect.So I assume it is a problem with the 4S.
My new Z2 D6503 is on .167 (4.4.4 KK) firmware, and when I connect it to my car's bluetooth audio system, sometimes it stutter really bad that I cannot enjoy the music. My car is 2014 and it also has the ability to read text messages.So after some investigation, I found a temporary solution to the dropouts:
1) If I just disable throw and reconnect, stuttering still exist.
2) If I just disable BT and re-enable, sometimes it fixes it but sometimes I lose AVRCP (control via car)
3) going into bluetooth setting, and disable MAP (text message), dropouts improved dramatically (from every 10 secs to every 1 mins or so)
4) disabling bluetooth Phone audio (so the only thing left is Bluetooth media audio) completely solves the dropout.
I recently purchased a Q2 blue ant bluetoooth to be used with my XPRT. When I attempt to call a contact using the bluetooth device, I get an audio message that states "activating your phone in built voice command on the connected phone." "This feature is not supported on your connected phone" then my phone will display "complete action using voice commands" So in essence I have to tap the voice dialer app to make a call. So, is there another bluetooth device that is truly handsfree voice dialing that can be used with this phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've deleted everything on my phone! Everything. I deleted all the Apps (except for the stock apps of course). All the music, movies, tv shows, books, ringtones, photos. I turned Photostream off. iCloud off. I tried restoring from backup (several times). Rebooting the phone. Shutting off the phone. Resetting network settings. I've tried every combination of iTunes settings (sync from wifi, open when connected, etc) that I could think off. I even deleted all the apps from iTunes (just in case). Nothing works! Yes, I know that if I do a 'restore as new' it will clean up the space. But then I lose all my text messages, all my app data settings (games savepoints etc). I do not want to lose all that!

I'm trying to sync with Outlook 2007 using Desktop Mgr 5.0 (on XP SP3) to my 8310 Curve running 4.5.0.81 OS. I can pair devices and have the bluetooth option in Desktop Mgr un-greyed (so I'm running the correct Microsoft BT stack on XP) but I can't get Desktop Mgr to connect or do the synch. From reading other forum entries it woud seem this is because Bluetooth Services display on my BB does not list 'Desktop Connectivity' or 'Wireless Bypass' services (so I fail the device pre-req described in this KB article http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/viewContent.do?externalId=KB04132) How do I get these services installed on my BB ??? I suspect this is something to do with the fact that I was on BES, but am now disconnected and on BIS only. I did a phone Wipe when I switched from BES to BIS, and this has removed all obvious signs of the IT Policy imposed when I was on BES .... e.g. there is now no mention of Policy on the Security/General Settings screen, and I've had no problems doing other stuff (like installing new apps) that I was prohibited from doing when I was on BES. Any ideas as to how I get those missing services installed on my BB ?? Some way of forcing an install?

Doesn't matter if the music is on the internal / sd card / streaming.
It appears that this happens when ever I am downloading updates/installing or getting a gps lock or if the phone starts doing something in the background.
This is a fairly new issue as the music will start to drop out during playback (0.5 seconds or so) and will continue until the phone stops doing whatever it's doing ion the background.
Suddenly my battery life is hour 4 hours and my phone is hot to the touch. What is happening?

Noticed short pauses or gaps in sound when playing back any sort of sound file? I'm using Bluetooth headsets of various types like jaybirds, Jabra solemate or jawbone jambox.
I'm using PocketCasts and the media is on the phone for that. Also using doubletwist and it's media is on SD.
Took me a long time to notice it because some podcasts aren't the greatest quality. Thing is if I rewind and replay that section it usually plays fine meaning the phone did something wrong.
Not sure it's my imagination but sure seems to me I've been seeing a lot more data dropouts lately. Goes from (strong) 4G to nothing and eventually back again w/o interaction from me but takes a LONG time. 5 min. or more. And happening with more frequency.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a stock Xoom wifi and have had it since day 1. Until the 3.2 a couple months back it worked fine... well as good as the subpar tegra2 will allow it anyway. Since the update I get regular wifi dropouts. Sometimes it happens when using the browser. I'll get a pop up that says it can't connect to the server or something like that. It isn't a regular interval. It will go 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 minutes, whatever. But I'm used to seeing it.
It is really evident when I try to play media via dlna from my linux server. Whether it's a HD or SD file media will stop playing using any media player (Dice, rockplayer) or any dlna client software (Upnp, BubbleUpnp, Twonky). Sometimes it happens after 30 seconds, sometimes after 5-10 seconds, other times right away. But it never makes it past a few minutes.
My router is a linksys wrt610n running dd-wrt and using both 5ghz (channel 48, n-only) and 2.4ghz bands with WPA2-AES. I've run enough test to prove it isn't the router. For my latest test I started playing an episode of the muppets show ( ) on the xoom connected on the 5ghz channel and my droid X on the 2.4 ghz channel. The xoom drops out of playing after a minutes, my X keeps playing. I switch the xoom to 2.4ghz and play the episode again. The xoom drops out again after 30 seconds. X is still going. I go upstairs and work out while watching the rest of the episode fine on my X.
While I'm streaming media I watched bandwidth monitors on the router. The droid X looks very stable with the connection rate around the same Mbps as the video file. The xoom looks like a slasher movie. It spikes to a real high rate (20mbps-ish) 2-4 times the file's rate, then it drops to about 0. It quickly spikes to about double the file's bit rate and then drops back to just above 0 again. It keeps this up until it finally just stops.
I did a device reset on saturday and all it did was annoy me as I had to re-setup everything again. The straw that finally got me was I need the device to develop an app that uses my LAN constantly and I can't since the connection isn't stable.
To summarize. Every wifi device on my network works fine (laptop, 2 droid X phones, and a printer) and my Xoom worked fine right up until I received the 3.2 update. Now it barely works.
I'm running the latest xtresto lite deo mod v2.2 I'm getting constant network connection drops not just data but call service/ sms as well i updated to the xtresto mod in hopes of fixing this but it didn't. Its not just my area i live ... I generally fix it by turning on airplane mode then off and I've also tried just wcdma/ gsm and just wcdma.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got this problem since yesterday. my s5 is running 5.0 so i went to "About Device" hit the software update button and it updated though its still 5.0 Lollipop. So i went back to About device and unchecked automatic update. It still kept on connecting to server and downloading update. So it updated again after it updated and rebooted the device it still connected to the server on its own and started downloading updates again. I know i might have a lot of updates to download but is there a way i can stop this because its annoying. why despite downloading these updates my OS is still 5.0? r they firmware or security etc updates? performance updates?

The forums show that I'm not the first to experience this; but it is the increasing likeliness of occurance that annoys me. I would say one-in-three updates/downloads fail due to this error. This is more of an observation than anything else.

I`m having this strange problem with my iphone 4 (gsm). When I update to ios 5.1.1 two things different happens.
1 - When I update directly from my iphone it says it can`t install it. that a problem has happend and it can`t be installed.
2 - When I update from itunes, in any computer, i`ve tried on 4 differente machines, two macs and two pcs, my Iphone bricks. The process starts but id sudenly crashes. And when I connect it to my mac, it says that my iphone is in restore mode and i can only restore my iphone to ios 5.1.

I have a iPhone 6 (32gb) OS version 8.1.1 and a Jabra BCE-BT350 bluetooth ear piece. For the last month or two every time I make a call using my bluetooth it rings once on my bluetooth then automatically switches over to my iPhone speaker (not loud speaker, just regular). I have to get my iPhone and manually select my bluetooth device as the speaker, which defeats the safety feature of using a bluetooth. I've had this bluetooth for a while now and never had this issue until recently. Not sure its an issue with iPhone 6, OS 8, settings or Jabra.
