IPhone :: Blocking Facetime Caller ID?
Jul 20, 2010Is there anyway that we can block our phone number from displaying to customers using facetime? We've tried using *67 but that completely blocks the facetime application from even running. The other idea was to forward from our google voice number to the iPhone but that still displays our personal numbers when we intiate facetime.I know when Apple offered the Facetime demo their phone numbers were blocked when facetime opened. Is there some option we're missing that will allow us to block our number when using facetime?

Oct 14, 2015How to block "Restricted Callers", i have TrueCaller installed and it does a good job at blocking calls that have a number or name but does not block restricted. I called Verizon and they said they can only block numbers or names but not restricted. Any app that actually will block restricted callers or hang up on them, i dont want these people to be able to leave voicemails.

Feb 19, 2012Just got Lumia 710 2 days ago, and upgraded it in Zune to the latest, and now I notice when I call from iphone 4s, it does not show the caller's number. However if I call from other cell phone or primus voip, it's fine.I have tried to swap the sim cards between Lumia 710 and iphone 4s, I still have the exact the same issue, so I am sure it's something to do with the phone not carrier.

Lately when placing and receiving calls I cannot hear anything put dead air. No ring tone when calling out, or the voice of the caller when accepting a new call. To fix the issue I have pulled the battery. However, a few hours later the issue will start again.

IPhone :: Check If My Carrier Is Blocking Skype?
Apr 5, 2012I can use Skype when connected to Wi Fi without issues (sometimes calls drop but that is another discussion), when I am in my carrier's 3G network I can't place a call (just says "connecting" then the call drops). I checked tmt 3G connection speed with Speedtest and I have 1.5 Mbps upload and download, according to skype's site I only need 100kbps to make a call.
When I use my iPhone as a hotbspot and connect my MacBook pro to my phone, Skype works withou any issues! When doing the same with my new iPad, I get the same issues as with iPhone. Is there a way to know if my carrier is blocking skype service on mobile devices such iPhone or iPad? I don't understand why when I'm connected to my phone as a hotspot there are no issues at all with Skype in my MacBook pro. My guess is my carrier is not playing fair and I would like to know if there is a workaround or a way to confirm they are blocking the service?

Mar 22, 2012I have gotten three very irate calls from someone who's called ID is from Ohio. He said my phone has called him over 40 times today. I have no idea who this person is, and my call list shows no outgoing calls from anyone outside my contact list.
What's going on here? Is it possible someone has "hijacked" my number and is spam calling people from somewhere else in the country? It apparently is my number that keeps calling him (he called me back, so he obviously has my number) but my call list shows nothing.
