Dec 4, 2015I just bought a new g3. read about fixing the not-so-smooth operation of the phone. I understand the main option to do that is changing the temperature control using developer codes. (the other option of changing to ART isnt available to me since i understand my phone already runs it).
The question is, i assume changing temp controls voids the warranty, and im not keen on doing this.

Jul 24, 2011I've noticed an interesting bug (feature?) with my X2. When web browsing, the color temperature of the screen will change every couple of minutes between a blueish hue and an orange one. Is this related to auto-brightness or is it a defect?

May 10, 2011My daughter (an iPhone 4 user) glanced at my Atrix while i was playing Angry Birds and asked why everything was so brown. She then compared her screen to mine and I was astounded at how poorly yellows are rendered on my phone! I then comparedit to my son's Samsung Captivate, with similar results. Color rendition on the Atrix is really off.Is there a way to make the color temperature cooler on the Atrix, or to completely recallibrate the display? Now that I've seen the difference, it's hard not to see problems in the display all the time. Any chance that a future update will fix the display driver to be more balanced?

Jul 13, 2010Today my iPhone 4 showed 'TEMPERATURE' - iPhone needs to cool down due to temperature. Anyone experiences this issue? I have the full BodyGuardz skin applied on it and was just using it as normal with email checking, web browsing, GPS with Copilot, but my phone was not used when I got a weird noise with the temperatue warning. I was inside my house with AC set at 76 degree when this happened. The phone did not feel warm at all. Please see attachment.

May 9, 2012I got same temperature warning message. I hadn't used my iphone 4 all day, and when i got a call from a friend, after a few minutes of talk time, my call was dropped and had received the error message...INSIDE my house with thermostat set to 67 F ! I do notice that a spot on the lower left corner of the backside seemed warmer. I tried to call again, but got the same message in even less time. My phone is about 2-3 mo old, no damage of any kind. Another thing (possibly unrelated) a few days before the battery completely died. When i plugged the charger in and tried to make a call, the call would drop giving me a battery error while still plugged into external power! I have never had that experience with any other phone. I have powered the phone completely off to see if that helps. And changed settings like turning off location.

Jan 16, 2010Short version: How do I "unfreeze" the iPod controls on an iPhone (or iPod classic) when it is plugged into an accessory? The accessory is an Alpine car stereo, though I have seen the controls freeze on boom-box type accessories too.
Long version:
My car has a nice aftermarket Alpine stereo with an iPod connector plug, so I can plug in my iPod and my iPhone in the glove compartment. Sadly, when the iPod/iPhone is plugged in, the screen says "accessory connected" and it doesn't allow me any access to the controls.This is bad. This is bad because the stereo's alphanumeric display shows only 8 characters, and the knob you turn to select things can only go about two clicks per second, meaning it takes about a million years to scroll through any list of songs or artists or playlists. If I did feel the temptation to switch songs while driving (and I'm not saying I do that, it is most often the passenger or I am at a red light) the iPod/iPhone's own controls would be much, much faster and safer than the Alpine's knob and 8-character display.
Even more hilariously, the iPhone has frozen iPod controls (you click the iPod app and it says "accessory connected"), but everything else about the iPhone is accessible. If this was a safety feature, then 1) I would hope the new controls would be safer than the overridden and frozen controls, whereas the new controls are actually much more dangerous and distracting; and 2) It seems pretty unsafe to be able to browse the internet and use the maps app, which are both fully functional while the iPhone is plugged into the car stereo.So yeah, how do I unfreeze the controls? Will jailbreaking do it? Or do I need to jailbreak and then do.
IPhone :: Have No External Speakers And No Volume Controls?
Apr 13, 2012My external speaker doesn't work for notifications or ipod audio. It only vibrates no matter what type of notification sound is selected. Incoming calls come through the speaker ok. I cannot control the volume with the side volume buttons unless I am in the Settings>Sounds screen and if I move the volume on the touch screen first. Of course the mute button on the side upper left above the voume controls is not on. Also, the setting under Settings>Sounds>"Change with Buttons" is "ON". I have reset the iPhone and the nothing has changed. I know the volume buttons work because when I plug the earphones in, it will control the volume up or down.it is a software issue or setting.

May 14, 2012When I'm listening to music, or more likely a book on my iPhone, I double press the home button to show the basic music controls forward, back, play or pause. Way to often I go to hit pause and accidentally hit one of the other very nearby buttons like skip forward or skip backward. When listening to a book chapter that is 40 minutes long and having no clue where I'm at in the chapter, this can be super annoying. So - is there any way to customize and separate these buttons so that they're not so close to each other? My fingers aren't that fat, the touch separation between these buttons must be about a millimeter. Totally frustrating to lose your place like that. Would be cool if they were far enough away that I could hit the button I want without looking at the phone, or at least the play/pause button was much larger.is there an app that can change these controls, or a way to make a request to Apple?
