Jun 13, 2010I don't own a phone with OVI maps yet, but I'm seriously considering it. I would like some advice before I go ahead. I intend to download the maps on PC then use the maps on the phone in offline mode at all times. My question is:- When carrying out a search in offline mode, is it possible to search for local businesses or service types? E.g. If I'm in London, and wanted to find a hotel, could I just run a search for hotels within the city? Or another example, wanting to search for a local McDonalds? Would I have to know the address, or could I just type in "McDonalds"?

Apr 27, 2012Does anyone else have this problem with the Maps app? If I map a location, then ask for directions to or from my "current location," the routes display immediately. But if I try to use any other location (for example, from my contacts), it displays a "Loading..." message and stalls. This happens even with a strong wi-fi connection. This is an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 with Verizon. My Maps app is using the standard view without traffic.

Dec 2, 2014So display on phone does not show anymore; however, when I plug it into the USB the phone is recognized by iTunes and triggers the permission pop up to access. The only problem is I can't click "Trust" on the iPhone because I don't have a screen that shows it. I can even reset the phone by holding the power and home button. So basically it's give permission with no screen. I have a replacement phone on the way but unfortunately the back up for this phone was deleted during a PC refresh so no backup and that's why I need access to it.Â

She said "it looks like we have enough phones in stock for everyone in line now" or something like that. I'm wondering, for those who have waited in Apple Store lines, do they do the same thing? I'm sure there will be many more than 20 people in line, but I would hate to be #93, only to find out hours later that they only had 90 phones in stock for walk-ins.

Aug 29, 2014My fiance's iPhone 5 has an album that is taking up a lot of space on the phone and the phone will not give me the option to delete any of the pictures on it. I can select each photo in the album, but the trash can icon does not show. Sep 10, 2014I have an iPhone 5s with OS version 7.1.2 (11D257). Recently I noticed that I was missing calls and text messages because the phone didn't ring or give the text alert. There is no vibration either. The phone is not in "do not disturb" mode and the manual sound switch on the side of the phone is turned on. It doesn't happen on every call or text, but the past few days it is more than 75% of them. I find myself checking the phone more often now that I'm aware of the problem. That was prompted by the fact that it has already caused a few problems with customers and employees who have returned my call to them within seconds only to have my phone go to voicemail and me not see their message for up to a half hour or so. I'm going to do an update right now just to be sure that I have the latest and greatest Apple patches.

Jun 22, 2010I've just installed Ovi maps 3.01 on my N95 device, and downloaded maps for my country. But when I turn on the maps application, all the roads are placed in total wrong places. Some leads over water and through forests, and nothing seem to be right. I get my location on the right spot of the map, but the roads are chaotic.Any clues what could be wrong? I've already tried to reinstall the map file.
