Nov 24, 2011Updated and WiFi is fine but now Netflix is hosed. I had installed Netflix from the market. Now when I try to start Netflix it says a new version of the application is found and I have to update. Now I am in a loop that sends me to the market to update. Choosing update sends me to a screen where the only option is to open the app. And so the loop begins...new version must update.I cannot uninstall Netflix. Now it is unusable. Can anyone help? I have forced a stop of Netflix but it is the same loop. Open, must update, market, update, open, must update, market, update, open...Update-- I powered off/on and the Netflix update showed up correctly on the notification area. Updated and happy now. Checking the rest of the apps. Now I am back to enjoying my Xoom FE.

I have looked into it as much as I can and it appears the Mpeg-4 or mp4 certainly should play on the device. I have managed to install an mp4 video and only get the audio of the video but no picture. How to get everything working - either which types of video format I need to use or whether a video player needs to be installed. My teacher says it could be a mechanism for the phone save on energy during playback by choosing to only play the video through AirPlay and not on the iPhone Called Apple Support but i didn't really get the answer that i needed. May 26, 2012My iPhone 4 has not been able to play music or video through my speakers. It thinks it is still connected to my iHome, so it trys to play anything through the charge port which of course no sound comes out. Can anyone help me with this issue? I can still play through my headphones and it will play through my Apple TV if I tell it to, but I just can't get any sound to come through the speakers.

Aug 26, 2014Without a headphone jack inserted, or plugged into a speaker using the port my iPhone 5 16gb will not play any audio or video. It just freezes the phone when you try to play something for about 5-20 seconds and then does nothing.Â
If a pair of headphones are plugged in then everything works perfectly. Same is true through the charging connector. My ringer is also currently not producing any sound.Â
This has been tested on the following apps and is the same on all:Â
- Spotify
- YouTube
- Facebook App
- Twitter
- BBC iPlayer
- Absolute Radio AppÂ
I have tried a a setting reset and a full restore. It does not matter whether I am on 3g, 4g or Wifi. I have had the phone about 5 months. It was a replacement from from my insurance company.Â
