Apple Store was crazy on the 24th and since I have tons of work, I just went there and got onto a priority list that they were creating. Any ideas when the priority list people will get the phone?

I am looking to purchase an iphone 4, and since there are no walk-ins at any apple store i put my name down on the priority list at the Georgetown-DC apple store. Should i just go ahead and order it online or just wait for the priority list?

All my music, existing video, etc. are on here.I am planning on bringing and shooting some video while on vacation. I only have the 16GB so I am thinking I will need to transfer a day's worth of video to a laptop I intend on bringing on the trip.Will I be able to 'empty' the iPhone's daily videos to iTunes on this laptop without screwing up anything related to my home iMac/iTunes/iPhone setups? Is there any additional steps I need to perform on the laptop before I go?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe've all been struggling to get through Apple and AT&T's servers since 4AM this morning. I've just been trying to get two 16GB iPhone 4's, preferably white, for me and my wife.With enough perseverance, I managed to wrangle one (1) pre-order for black 16GB iPhone 4 from AT&T's Premier site, and it luckily shows "processing." At the same time, I also managed to grab two (2) reservations for black 16GB iPhone 4's at Apple's site, one using their website, and one with the Apple Store app (which, by the way, was extremely fast).
The bottom line is I have an extra reservation (possible because of two Apple IDs, I guess?). I'm still aiming to preorder the second 16GB iPhone 4 at AT&T, if the site will let me.Come launch day, the lines will be long. The stores will be crazy. Someone is bound to walk away without an iPhone 4, and someone will want one bad enough to pay money for it. If you had an extra reservation, would you sell it?
Or those who made reservations, called the store, and was told that they weren't in the system. In my case, I received an confirmation email. So I plan to arrive around 5AM at the Apple store and stand in the reserve line with my printed confirmation email. What happens when we get in, they see we don't have a reservation in the system? What are the chances they'll give us a phone seeing that we have the confirmation email? I talked to a rep at my Apple store, he said I should be fine as long as I bring a printed email.

After picking my plan (I am an existing AT&T customer) it said can not pre order online please visit a store. Then let me pick from 3 local stores. I picked one and it sayed bring government id on June 24th. Did it go through? I am I suppose to get a confirmation. Can I check? Was I suppose to put money down?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm going to apple store, brent cross this thursday, and have phoned them up regarding this and they have told me they 'do not know yet'.I was wondering though, from your point of view, how would you see this: I have reserved a 32gb black phone. I did want a black but now that I've seen the white hands-on I think I would prefer it. I won't know until I go into the shop, however, and get my hands on either.I intend to be one of the first in line. I will wake up VERY early that day and drive myself down there. I have been saving up for 2 years to buy myself this phone and I think it'd be a waste if I didn't at least put in the effort on the morning to ensure the day went well. My only problem is, there will be two lines right? One for reservations and one for unreserved. I'm wondering if I could line up in reserved and then when the store opens and we find out what phones they have (whether white or not is available) if they will let me swap my reservation OR will they send me to the back of the unreserved line? And I'm worried what people will think if I bring my girlfriend with me and strategically place her at the front of the unreserved (without pushing in front of anyone ofc) and if they told me I needed to be unreserved to get a white I just swapped places with her (she wants a black one anyway but hasn't reserved)? In the end I didn't skip any lines and it's not like you moved back any number of places, and it's not like I didn't wait for the same time as you.

Even though mine is guaranteed I still don't want to wait in an insane line in the morning. Plus it will be pretty cool to be one of the first people in line to have their hands on the new iPhone 4. I was told in no uncertain terms that a reservation just means that they have all your information and know what you want to buy when you show up at the store on launch day. It does NOT mean you're guaranteed a phone or that they're holding one for you. He recommended I get there super early and wait in line like everyone else.Apparently, the only people that are guaranteed a phone are those that managed to get a full paid pre-order through on the 15th.

From what I've gathered these all seem to be from people who ordered from either apple.com or AT&T.com, paid with a credit card and set them up to ship to their home as apposed to setting up an in-store pickup reservation. View 14 Replies View RelatedI just got off the phone with my local Apple store here in New York and asked them if my reserved iPhone 4 would still be there when I get out of work at 4 to pick it up.He told me to call back on Wednesday to make sure that they are not releasing reservations, but he thinks it will be held for me. He said that they're not sure if they are going to be releasing reserved phones to customers.In my opinion, them releasing reserved phones to the public is pretty crappy and doubt it will happen, but you never know. Call your local Apple store and see know what they say. We're probably going to get different stories.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't see this posted yet but I got an email from Apple today reminding me of my pickup reservation at my designated Apple store on Thursday.Glad to know I wasn't bumped or canceled from the reservations list like i've heard from some other members here.It also mentions how the price I was shown when I reserved (599.00) was a mistake and I could confirm my upgrade price via the link in the email which I did. $199.00 now shows up correctly.I guess i'll come Thursday I'll be one Iphone 4 happierI managed to place my reservation via the iphone apple store app on the first day.

I'm leaving for vacation on Saturday (and I'm sure most stores will be out of stock soon anway) and won't be returning until July 5th.
Now my question is, I know I can get my phone by July 14th if I order online now, but what would you say the likelihood is of me being able to go to the store on July 5th and be able to get one? Do you think stores will have received additional inventory by then?

I actually bought the N8 two years ago at Orange, so I went to see them and they told me they don't have and cannot order this kind of stuff. Is there a store or a shop online where I can buy these Nokia N8 Spare Parts ?
PS : I cannot send photo or video of this part as it's against the guidelines of the Nokia forum. I just hope this time my post won't be deleted.
Need a place to store that spare sim card? Trim a space for it in the foam inside the battery cover door. A little Iso alcohol will clean up the leftover glue.

It looks like it would be an easy fix if I could just order the buttons somewhere.In the meantime, I downloaded a software solution (volume +), but it's pretty inconvinent to not have hardware volume controls.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone about three weeks ago from the AT&T store and purchased the proscribed "AT&T Zero" spare micro-usb charger that even Motorola sells on this very website as an accessory for the Flipside. I plugged the phone into my spare charger at work and discovered that I couldn't answer calls, could not navigate the screens without either looping behavior or the wrong "buttons" being pushed as I tapped the screen. As soon as I took the phone off of the charger, the behavior settled down. I took the phone and charger back to the store and demonstrated the same behavior to the salesclerk. He offered to replace the cable and/or charger and I insisted that we try the equipment first. The same behavior was exhibited with the new charger and cable, but, when he put the phone on his own charger (a Motorola branded charger), the phone worked fine. At home, as an experiment, we put my phone on my husband's Motorola BlueTooth charger, and that seemed to work as well.
My problem is, I cannot find a spare charger that will work on this phone. I am told that Motorola does not sell the branded charger separately. While the Rocketfish charger claims to be compatible, when tried in the store, the phone would not recognize the charger at all, or only intermittently. (I did notice on this board a tip about the cable being wire-tied perhaps being the cause of someone's problem - something to consider) I am left with two options, either carrying the charger around with me and purchasing the Motorola car charger for car trips, or buying a Motorola BlueTooth that I don't need just for its micro-usb charger.
I broke the mount to my 765t and wondered if anyone had/knew of a place to get a replacemnt. I have looked at several 'universal' replacements but none work quite aswell as the original.

You know, so the little red exclamation mark appears in the email header. I used to have a Galaxy S4 and this is quite a simple feature, I am disappointed to not find it on the iPhone.Â

The reference to the Stone Age that I have come across in other forums seems more than appropriate, but I am hopeful that this ridiculous shortcoming will be / has been addressed by Apple.
