Can anyone help me to manually set up my phone for use in the Virgin Mobile MMS/WAP settings? Virgin Australia don't offer this offer and can't (or won't) provide support. Anyone can help, it's much appreciated!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Galaxy S6 Duos yesterday, and flashed XtreStoLite Deo-Mod v2.1 due to battery performance. Everything working just fine but the only thing is that there is no mobile network menu in settings so I can't enable mobile data. I have installed the quick toggle fix by Samsung but still no joy. Searched everywhere on this forum and google,

Does anyone have a step-by-step procedure for enabling AT&T's Media Net on a T-Mobile Samsung Gravity? From my reading, access to profiles seems to be: *#87927#, Then it gets a little dicey. I'm trying to get my kid's Gravity to send/receive pictures. He's on the AT&T unlimited txt msg package....and pictures are included in the pkg.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the 920F model and activated it with a UK sim a few months ago.. Have been using a US sim for the past 2 weeks, but today I went into an area with no service for a bit. Went back into an area with service and suddenly it says 'Not registered on network' when I go to make a call and 'No SIM card'.
I have gone into flight mode, cleaned and checked SIM (not a problem with the card), and then when I went to check the APN settings I noticed there was no way to get into my 'Mobile Network' settings! Its just gone!
Is it possible that it has reverted back to the European region lock and is awaiting a European SIM to be inserted before I can re-insert my US?
If it is a region lock, is there anyway to unlock it without using a European SIM as I no longer have mine and dont have quick access to one either.
Need APN,User Name and Password but first I need to find the TCP setting on Virgin Mobile 8530. Anybody know how to find this?Think this might have to do with the streaming problems I'm having with Live 365 and Pandora. And also states this on their sites but I do not see this option via Advanced Options.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am hoping to get some help with a problem I am having with my Virgin Mobile LG Rumor 2.I have found a great website that will allow me to download programs directly to my phone that you cant get on Virgin Mobile's store (Go to http://www.getjar.com)Now, I have down loaded various programs for MSN and Facebook chatting, RSS Programs, however, it seems virgin mobile has restricted 3rd party access to the internet. The programs install fine, they run but as soon as they ask for access to the internet....the program comes to an abrupt halt.
I have heard that giving access through Bitpim is possible, however, bitpim does not fully support the Rumor 2 (see it as CDMA Other). Is there anyway to let 3rd party programs access to the internet on the LG Rumor 2? Is there any "secret access" to the phone that would allow me to change some type od settings?I like the Rumor 2 but am pulling my hair out trying to figure a way to let the programs access the net.
I am connected to my home wifi on the phone, but for some reason when I am browsing the web or trying to download apps from bb app world it uses my mobile network data services. Is there a way I can specify the phone to pick up wifi over the Mobile Services when connected to a wifi Network?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSome of the pages I visit will show in mobile view even if I go to the page without typing " m. (etc).com". On my Htc Evo there was the option to just view web pages in full in not in mobile. Can the photon be set that way?? If so how can I do it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhile browsing I have stumbled on two sets of settings, that i can't find any more:
1. battery saving settings...not just "make sure to turn off unused apps". I mean "go to menu options and select..." .
2. internet browsing settings...similar to above, but geared toward browser settings.
In the "message settings' option menu, "e-mail settings" isn't available. I have managed to set up several email accounts by simply going into the 'email" option in the "messaging" menu, but I can't set the phone to check for emails automatically or to notify me of new emails, etc, etc, in other words, I have no menu option, for adjusting the settings for emails. I am running the latest version of the software
version 10.60.
There is no "Voicemail settings" in the "Call settings" section. It seems like a first page of Call settings is missing because at the top of the list it says "Call settings", then immediately under that it says "Other call settings".

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe browser on my Nokia 701 is great -certainly much better than past versions- but websites 'see' it as a full size browser and so deliver it full size web pages. I have found this leads to much dragging and zooming. If the site also has pop-ups (which can fully obscure the screen!) this can lead to misclicks, impossible to navigate sites etc. Also full size webpages are slow to load and more expensive on data.
This issue has led me to either manually navigating to the mobile versions of the websites I like (bit of a pain) or to simply use the Opera Mini browser instead. The Opera browser is free and websites 'recognise' it as a mobile browser. This means without any work when I surf I instantly get the mobile version of the website I want (assuming one exists), easy to navigate and fast (and so cheaper) to load. In many cases this works much better for me.
So I think Nokia have missed a trick here. Maybe they should offer a feature whereby the user can tell their browser to find either mobile-friendly pages or normal ones. They could even add in a second browser shortcut, one which launches the Nokia browser in a 'mobile' mode.
Now running a 701, beautiful phone to handle and use...now that it has stopped sending my personal information to Nokia via 360Panel [rolls eyes]
I have a new T-Mobile S6 Edge and love the phone, but one thing I have not figured out is why I still get background mobile data usage even though I have disabled mobile data and set "restrict background data". Both tuiService and OS services are downloading approximately 100K at a time periodically over mobile data throughout the day even though I have a wifi connection.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith Verizon offering mobile hotspot on the Palm PrePlus & I believe Google is including it on their next OS update (2.2) & Sprint including it on the EVO 4G, I'm wondering if Apple & AT&T would keep up by offering it on the new iPhone. The one reason I'd probably say no is the iPad 3G. Just wondering what you guys thought.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm able to download the TD mobile banking app on my iPod Touch (just search for TD in the CDN app store), but it looks like TD just put up an iPhone-formatted web page and then framed it with an app around it.I'm wondering, is there any way to confirm this - to sniff out & find the URL of the page that the app is accessing? Cause then I'd be able to do mobile banking from my other non-iPhones too.My iPod is 2nd gen jailbroken if that helps.

At this point in time, Verizon is becoming too expensive and i'm looking to move to T-Mobile. I plan to purchase an Unlocked iPhone 4S from the Apple website. I went to a T-Mobile store and a rep told me that they can configure something so i can send MMS messages. (I know i can't use visual voice mail and I'll be on the slower Edge network) But is the rep right? Would i be able to send MMS messages?Another question: Will iMessage still work? and if so, could i send photos over iMessage?
