IPhone :: Ringer Does Not Work And No Sound For Games?
May 20, 2012My iphone seems to be on mute. The ringer does not work and there are no sounds from game apps. However music plays and in settings all the ring tones work fine?

Aug 19, 2010I am no longer getting sound from the phone - the ringer does not work and I can't play music.I have tried taking out the battery and it still does not work.The last sound I heard was the alert for a text message and it does not do that anymore. I can hear fine when talking on the phone.I would appreciate help with this as I have not found an solution that works yet.

Jun 28, 2014I have an iPhone 5 and I have recently noticed that my sound is not working for some of the games on it. The first game is called Subway Surfers and there is no sound or music on it whatsoever when there is usually sound effects and music playing. Secondly is a game called Tiny Wings, which has sound effects but no music (there is usually music playing). Lastly, is a game called Jetpack Joyride, again there is sound effects but no music. I had this problem with other games but I deleted them off my phone. Â
I have made sure that the sound/music setting is ON for all of these games, my phone is off silent and my volume is up, and the problem is still there.Â

Mar 19, 2010I have recently updated to the new OS via desktop manager. Shortly afterwards i have noticed missing calls and messages. The vibrate alert works & the light flashes but no sounds. I have expeirienced a similar but different issue on the last update, where all ringtones and sounds were ereased from the phone, resolution was go back to previous update and re apply update.
After a number of battery out reboots i have unfortunately not had success in correcting the fault. I note that the keypad tones are also gone when attempting to make a call. I have tried playing audio files and have no sound unless i switch to speakerphone, have considered that perhaps the speaker has failed or the issue has disabled the main speaker, guessing the ringer would use this...the phone works fine i.e the speaker next to ear works o.k but no evidence of any audio from the one on the back. In my few hours of exploring and proding the device i have discovered that the mute button seems to not do anything...
Can anyone offer some guidance or suggest a solution. I have trawled the forum a bit and found similar but not same descriptions, have explored all suggestions but have come up short

Jul 3, 2011I found many games include: greedy pigs, catoon defense 2, battle heart, etc ... (I purchased from android market) will randomly freeze during the game play if I turn on the sound! However, if I turn off the sound (I mean turn off the sound option in game, not mute the media volume), then all games runs without any problem.
Not every game will have this problem. For example, angry birds, finding difference, air attack, etc... No problem at all. It looks to me that most of defence games and real time strategy games are in this case. It's just the game itself freezed, not the whole system. I can still use "home" to go back to the main screen then kill the game app.
I'm using vodafone version s2 and already updated to the lastest firmware.
