Only my right external speaker is giving out sound. If I cover it up I can't hear anything. Seem the left speaker isn't given out any sound. Could I have a setting wrong? Or is my speaker broken and as a result need a replacement phone?
Ok I have been using my Navigon GPS occasionally and sometimes when the spoken directions are played though the speaker, it's so soft I can barely hear it. So I thought it was just the app. But now, I was just using my phone texting people and all of a sudden the sound became very faint. I can barely hear it. I then went to the iPod app to listen to some music through the speakers and I still can barely hear it. I reset the phone and now everything is working again. Is this normal?
Those of you who had the 3GS, and especially the 3G, and listened to podcasts or music with the external speaker, is the iPhone 4 speaker louder? Is it clearer?
What are your first impressions? This is one of the things I really hope is improved.
So there I was, watching video on my iPhone 4s without the headphones in when all of a sudden there was no sound coming out of the right side speaker! I tried to clean the speaker with no luck. I powered the phone off and on, I reset the phone to the factory settings, I even tried to restore the phone from iTunes via my computer. All attempts to fix this failed, I would also like to add that this phone has never seen a drop of water nor has it ever been dropped on anything harder then a pillow. I treat this phone like a new born baby, so why would my speaker suddenly stop working after two and a half months? I've spent hours on the internet looking for solutions, and it doesn't even appear to have a "mute" option just options to turn sound on/off and up/down.
The external sounds on my iphone have completely shut down, the speakerphone doesn't work, the ringer doesn't work, everything else appears to be working normally, what should I do with the phone?
My son was playing with my blackberry 8900 phone and when I got it back it would not ring when someone called me and the external speaker would not work when I tryed to listen to them on it. Tryed full reset by removing the battery but, no good , still had same problem.
When I turn my HTC one speaker up full and either play a game or listen to music, I get a crackling noise coming from the top speaker..
Granted, I will not be listening to music this loud normally, but I want to be sure that my phone is defect free, especially if I would like to sell it in the future.
I've had this phone for 3 weeks. When I turned it on this morning it no longer was able to make noises from its external speaker. I missed a call because the phone didn't play the ring tone. I also noticed it doesn't work with speaker phone and pandora does not play music. I tried a factory reset from the settings - privacy menu but it didn't resolve the issue. I have sprint and the phone was purchased from newegg.
I don't believe it! after an hour it randomly started making noises again.. I didn't change a single setting since I gave up an hour ago. Is this thing going to be intermittantly reliable? I mean I have not touched a single thing on the phone and suddenly it started working correctly.
I've had my e71-1 for only a couple of months now and noticed that it randomly hangs during menu navigation and especially when either trying to make a call or ending a call (most noticeable when 'number busy' is displayed). It can take at least 5-10 seconds for the phone to respond at which point it suddenly cycles through multiple functions due to me having pressed various buttons to try to get it to respond during the hang.I have tried two different firmware versions (400.21.013 and 410.21.010; I'm currently using the latter) and this phenomenon occurs on both. I have not installed any additional apps/games. And the phone has loads of on board memory still free as well as the 8GB memory card that is encrypted despite being virtually empty.I am at a loss trying to get this problem resolved. It's quite annoying saying 'goodbye' to a person and then you can't end the call immediately. I've done a forum search but have not found any way to fix this. Moreover and totally unrelated (I think), there seems to be something wrong with the external speaker on the phone. When I navigate around the menus, the beeps emitted are often crackly. This can also occur when I receive confirmation beeps. Despite this, the quality of the speaker is actually good when it works. The phone hasn't been exposed to any water or even out in the rain so this surely is a build problem?
I can only answer a call by using the external speaker function, if you answer it normally you can't hear anything until you press the external speaker button, its the same when you make a call
I own a W705 and for the past couple of days the external speaker has stopped working. This means I cannot hear the ring tone, handsfree calls or any music. Also, the headphones which come with the phone stopped working about 2 months ago.PLUS. the charger doesn't always work (it will display the charging icon on the screen, but when I unplug it in the morning it hasn't charged at all. v annoying!). When it DOES say it's charging if you even slightly touch the jack part which is connected to the phone, it thinks it has been disconnected and stops charging (this also happened to my old K6..something, which had the exact same power/headphone socket - so i know this isn't a one-off fault. again, V annoying!). Anyway, the phone was bought unbranded in the UK last Christmas, I live in Cambridge UK and would like to know where I can take the phone to have it repaired or replaced.
After the first day, the external speaker stopped working. I can hear sound via the earbuds, but it does not ring, nor have any audible notifications. Did hard reset, soft reset, several times, and still no sound. I have a replacement on order, but they won't have it to me for another week or more! Imagine having a phone that doesn't ring for over two weeks.
My external speaker sounds distorted when playing music / lound ringing, and when I use it as a handsfree, I can barely understand what the other person is saying. Is it really this bad, or should I take it to a Nokia service centre?
Is it just me or is the external speaker weak on the bionic? I used to have a D1 original Droid which had a great speaker. It seems the one on the bionic is Not as good of quality or as loud.
Trying to call using my Lumia 800 today and I can't hear or be heard by anyone I call. Loudspeaker works, and so do my headphones. But my mic doesnt work at all. It's pretty much brand new (my dad used it for a few days but didnt like the QWERTY keyboard for texting) and i remember getting a phone call a day or two ago and it was fine.Anyone have any tips or tricks i can try before i send it off for a repair?I'll be phoneless until its fixed because non of my spare phones take micro sims.. and my past experience with sending phones for repairs involved long waits to get them back..
I am using "NAVAR acoustic K850i v0.1 (my mix)" one of the mod driver acoustic for my K850i, I got a quality sound from backspeaker and from my walkman series headset. However I don't get the Loud In-call volume. And when I connect SE MPS-70 speaker to my K850i. I get very low volume. I am getting louder volume in my phone backspeaker than this external speaker.
When I have my Bionic set to CDMA/LTE and I am around an external pair of speakers i.e computer speakers, stereo spakers, or even my alarm clock I get very loud audio distortion and feedback from the speakers, and it changes depending on where I am in relation to the speakers. When I am on CDMA only there is no distortion? and NOT netflix...
Recently; within the past week, my Maxx is intermittently loosing sound from the external speaker. I've tried rebooting, reinstalling the OS, etc... so I took to the internet: [URL]. Pressing on the kevlar cover works for a brief time; but when I am missing calls or notifications, its a little late to be pressing on the back cover to make the speaker connection. I dropped my phone when I first got it (March '12) so the warranty center is going to claim physical damage and charge me full retail for the phone. I can't go for much longer with a phone that doesn't ring.
My iphone 4s has been updated to the iOS 5.1.1. Since then it will not play music or give a text message alert sound. We have restored the phone, we have toggled the mute switch, and we have rebooted using the home button and power down and nothing has worked. The volume does not adjust, there is no sound bar when pressing the sound control buttons along the side of the phone. When double tapping the home button on lock screen there is no sound bar. It will ring on incoming calls and the Speaker phone does work while in call. All of the volume controls will work correctly when the headphones are in music plays, text tone works, video sound works but as soon as they are removed it reverts back.
I dock my Razr HD (JB 4.1.2) to my genuine Motorola car dock, my music will automatically route to the car speakers, which is what I want but for incoming and outgoing calls the audio goes to the phones external speaker by default. I can touch the speaker button that then routes the audio to the car speakers but how do I make call audio route to the car speakers by default and not the phones external speaker?
How can I change it to play through the phone's regular earpiece? I've looked at the Sound settings, and couldn't find anything. Sounds are processed by the phone's default sound app. The volume is controlled through the Media volume control.
I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat). Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker. So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
home button went out first then power button ive seen and tried the videos on Internet.. some work for about a day then my home button goes back to not working... not sure what to do. my phones warrenty and what not is to no use..
