IPhone :: No Sounds On The Speaker When Playing Music?
Apr 12, 2012Recently my Iphone 3GS is having problem when playing music. There is no sound from the built-in speaker. However when making/receving calls the sound from the speaker is fine. I noticed that when I press the volume up/down button, there is no volume level indicator position on the screen, the circular button is missing (attached is the screenshot of the situation). However when a headset speaker is plugges in, the volume indicator level appears fine.
I had try restoring the iphone as a new iphone using my mac (from itunes) but the situation persist.

Apr 10, 2012The volume bar when double clicking home button shows momentarily and then disappears and won't play music or make the type sounds or anything like that. Only plays music when a 3.5 mm jack is used an still won't play music at times. The phone is really slow and annoys me.Have tryed resetting, turning off for long periods of time and updating system software.

Jun 15, 2012My phone will vibrate, but does not audibly ring. The silent switch is not set, If i go into the settings menu, the ringer menu files are missing.
All other sounds work flawlessly, music plays, keyboard clicks away and voicemail, and text alerts come through, it's just the ringer that's problematic.

Aug 18, 2014I've had many smart phones, all of which you can have the email and text alerts be two different sounds. The HTC One M8 is setup just like they are. You select the notification sound in the settings app and that changes the email alert. You then go into the text app and from the settings there you can change the text alert to something else. Simple, except the text sound will not change.

Aug 17, 2015I really love my new Verizon LG4 coming from a Samsung S3. It picks up signal clearly where I had complete drops on S3. However, one thing has really annoyed me and I need to find a way to live with this.
The ring sound and text notification sounds are either both ON or both OFF. I have to leave the ringer on for various reasons, but then I get the text notifications all night long. Various volume apps I downloaded did not separate out the sounds. This is a really bad idea to tie these together.
I have tried playing with Priority Interruptions, but can't quit seem to get the phone to ring and the texts to be silent.

Ever since then whenever I get a text message I have been getting my standard text ringtone as well as my default notification sound.Not sure at all how to go about fixing this. Tried resetting phone but didn't do anything.I found out through some trial and error that the thing causing the text notification ringtone and the default notification to both ring is having vibration turned on for texts.
