IPhone :: No 3G After Screen Replacement - Signals Keeps On Dropping
Jun 10, 2012
I have a white iPhone 4. It's out of warranty, and the screen broke, so I got it replaced, however ever since my signal keeps on dropping (I seemed to have fixed it by resetting network settings) but when I put it in my pocket and take it out, it's always searching for network. However that's not my problem, ever since I got the screen replaced my 3G doesn't work, it doesn't detect 3G at all and it's all enabled. I tested my sim in my other phone and 3G works fine, I did let the shop know who replaced my screen so they will be looking into it, however I wanted to find out how much an out of warranty iphone would cost if I took this to apple?
I had replaced the screen once, then it was working fine for a day, the next day it went gray, the screen has a gray scaling on it, then later on it just went to blank screen into white. I tried many things but it didn't work therefore I replaced the screen the second time then it started working again, but after a few hours it went off to black screen and the phone heated up soo high, since then its not turning on, I have had the battery replaced but its still not turning on.
I had two 3g iPhones and this is my second 3gs. This new replacement screen is picking up little micro scratches like crazy. My old one was naked for 6 months with no scratches at all and ditto on the 3g phones.
When I picked it up, the screen was lit but still black. Then I noticed the screen had popped out a little bit then I popped it into place. It still was lit and black but then turned completely off. I rushed home to put it on the charger. I heard it making the plug in sounds but the screen was still black! I even tried the "hold everything down for some seconds" methods and still nothing. It apparently was turning off and on but I still saw nothing.Â
I have a Xperia Neo V, with ICS 4.0.3 Nordic... And today my phone was working correctly and i did put it in my backpack Few minutes ago when i took it from my backpack, the screen was with a strange bar on the top and it shows: P: 0/1 | dX: 0.0 | dY: 0.0 |Yv: 0.0 | Prs: 0.13 | Size: 0.15 | And when i touch the screen, these values changes acordding to the localization where i touch and it makes like a DRAW where i touch with a crosshair where my finger is...
Received new iPhone 4 yesterday. The screen has a 1 inch hairline scratch. Called Apple Store & was told that they would swap the phone for an unboxed "service" phone. Does anyone know whether these phones are actually new or just recycled or previously returned phones?
cracked mine and was curious if there's any cheap replacements out there to fix me up until I get my next phone.I checked around, but can't even find them.
I have a Samsung convoy 2 and I have broken the front outside LCD. I think too much pressure was placed on the screen in my pocket and the LCD cracked although the plastic covering the LCD is in perfect condition. I have found a replacement lcd online but I'm not sure how to replace it.
There is some news flying around about a possible hardware replacement, or recall for storm 2's with the know dead and mulitple click issues. bbleaks.com/2010/03/carriers-getting-new-screen-improved.html
Its just for verizon, but I am wondering if anyone else has heard about this?, Also I am wanting to find out if this will be strictly through the carrier, becuase I have a unlocked vodafone I use in canada, hopefully I can go direct to RIM.
Managed to drop my Storm 2 and cracked the screen. All working OK, but bits of glass falling off was about to order a new LCD and noticed there seem to be two versions - version 2 and version 3. Any ideas on how I know which version I should order, or doesn't it matter?

I have a T-Mobile Dash 3G with a broken LCD screen. Can anyone suggest a place where I can buy a replacement screen? Could only find one website, and they were charging over $50 shipped. I have a dash 2g as well, will that screen work on it? If not, can anyone recommend a good place to buy a replacement LCD?
I have a Samsung Highlight T749. I bought a replacement oem touch screen. The add said it was easy to do but I am having difficulty locating where the touch screen wire connects to. When I took the old screen off, the wires just came right up and I didn't see where they connect to. I think I have to take the phone apart even futher, but am afraid I might break something since I don't know how it is supposed to come apart.
My Nokia 5800 was dropped on the floor from a distance .. within few days whenever i receive a call .. i touch the green arrow to answer the call but its like i'm not doing anything , it works only if i pressed the keylock from the side, and when i make a call i can't use call option if only i pressed the keylock from the side .. its like my nokia doesn't know that i'm here and touching the screen if i only pressed the keylock from the side .. everything work good after doing that .. just the problem appears when i receive a call, make call, stopping the alarm .. they all want me to press the side keylock then i can start working.. i need help because its confusing me.i've been told to turn the sensor setting on, remove the memory , reset , upgrade , but nothing solve the issue , i'm waiting your replay guys.
When I am at home my 3g signal will go from 4 bars down to 3,2,1 and go back to 3. Does your signal on your iphone 4 act like this? I have a 3g next to it and it stays on 4-5 bars.
I have an iphone 4 about 1 year old i live about 300m from the optus 3g tower and i am with optus and most of the time i only get SOS on my iphone. Why is this? How can i resolve? also my friend has an iphone 3 with optus and gets meduium coverage at my house

Whenever I switch ON 3G, both phone & cellular data works. But when i switch OFF the 3G, phone shows no service for long time. Total network is lost. This may persist for as much as 15-20 minutes. This happens with even full battery & good signal strength in the area.
I have an iPhone 3GS, I've had it for a few months or so but its an old one from when they first released. The wifi never worked from the time I got it. I've reset it, reset the network settings, everything. I can turn wi-fi on and off but it just won't find anything unless I am REALLY close. So when I walk into the actual room where my router is I get a signal, but down the hall, nothing. That means I can't really get wi-fi anywhere else. It didn't really bother me at first because I had 3G anyways but now its annoying that I can't download apps without worrying about my data as I only have 2 gigs. Because it connects when I'm closer I'm guessing its a hardware issue?
I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".
So, there are a bunch of threads with people reporting signal issues with the iPhone 4. I thought it would be helpful to create a poll to see how widespread this is and if a bumper case fixes it at all...
