Apr 3, 2012Found that the top right shows a red SOS instead of a signals bar at night, I have tried to remove the battery to restart, I have put the other SIM card which is currently works on the other phone, but it is still not working at all.

Apr 19, 2011Got my Xoom yesterday and it fired up, synced, etc. Since the, I pick it up to use it and it is disconnected but shows strong signal. Reboot works but should not be a problem. Did a factory reset as well. I have a Motorola sbg900 router? Also turned off firewall in router.

Jul 11, 2010I have 2 different cases that I would like to se some kind of solution for:
- In my city, there are several "bugs" in the maps. Is there a way to get this corrected ? Several roads seems ok for drivetrough, but then you find them to be "walking only". Ovi maps told me to drive into such road, - but luckily I knew the area, and did know it was a dead end. Places like this I would like to share with other users, so the map itself would be more up to date and as correct as possible. But ; such issues I have found no way to feed the maps with. ( yea, I might share the cinema, and hospital, cafe's and som but the road and blocked roads, - nope. even nopt telling wich speedlimits the different roads has).
Is there a way to get the ovi maps to remember a input? (It asks over and over "connect to location server" y/n - while driving in areas with a lot of tunnels, and steep mountains (it looses the GPS signals). This is not only annoying, but it disturb while driving. If I consider to say yes, - ( or no for that matter) - it continues to ask everytime it looses the GPS signals. I have now turned it off, and will see if the nagscreen shows up all the time. If it could remember the FIRST answer - as long as it is running, - it would be okay. As it is now, - its really disturbing - here in Western Norway. (where the FJORDS are, and a lot of tunnels).
Motorola Droid Razr :: WiFi Reception - Showing Low Signals Or Drops Connection
Dec 8, 2011So at first I thought that the Razr had a weak WiFi reception. So I decided to install a WiFi access point in my office, basically on my desk. I connected the Razr to it but yet, it still occasionally shows a low signal or drops the connection completely then reconnects, works for a bit then drops it again. I'm at a point where I had to turn WiFi off on my phone because it was draining my battery so fast from flipping between the Cellular network and WiFi network way to often. I also have a Glaxy Tab 7.0 Plus connected to the same access point and it never drops a connection and it shows 100% strong on the signal.

Apr 1, 2012Whenever I switch ON 3G, both phone & cellular data works. But when i switch OFF the 3G, phone shows no service for long time. Total network is lost. This may persist for as much as 15-20 minutes. This happens with even full battery & good signal strength in the area.

Mar 18, 2012I have an iPhone 3GS, I've had it for a few months or so but its an old one from when they first released. The wifi never worked from the time I got it. I've reset it, reset the network settings, everything. I can turn wi-fi on and off but it just won't find anything unless I am REALLY close. So when I walk into the actual room where my router is I get a signal, but down the hall, nothing. That means I can't really get wi-fi anywhere else. It didn't really bother me at first because I had 3G anyways but now its annoying that I can't download apps without worrying about my data as I only have 2 gigs. Because it connects when I'm closer I'm guessing its a hardware issue?

Jun 28, 2012I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".

It's out of warranty, and the screen broke, so I got it replaced, however ever since my signal keeps on dropping (I seemed to have fixed it by resetting network settings) but when I put it in my pocket and take it out, it's always searching for network. However that's not my problem, ever since I got the screen replaced my 3G doesn't work, it doesn't detect 3G at all and it's all enabled. I tested my sim in my other phone and 3G works fine, I did let the shop know who replaced my screen so they will be looking into it, however I wanted to find out how much an out of warranty iphone would cost if I took this to apple?

Aug 27, 2014Yesterday morning, a little after 7:15a, my iPhone 5 stopped receiving internet information. The connection had ceased. There was still a strong LTE and Wifi signal, but no connectivity. I turned off and on the calling/LTE and wifi setting, as well as powered down the phone, but still no connectivity. Phone appears to be getting the signal, but will not connect. Call and text messages work, but no internet connection and zero apps working.

May 10, 2011I have recently installed a wireless router in my home from Virgin Media. My blackberry bold 9780 which is on an orange tariff is set to "wifi preferred". Can any suggest why I am not receiving the uma signal boost when I am connected to the router. My phone is still showing either GPRS or 3G in the top right hand corner of the home screen. My signal at home fluctuates from room to room so a boosted signal would be good. Is there another setting on the phone to receive uma ?
