I have recently installed a wireless router in my home from Virgin Media. My blackberry bold 9780 which is on an orange tariff is set to "wifi preferred". Can any suggest why I am not receiving the uma signal boost when I am connected to the router. My phone is still showing either GPRS or 3G in the top right hand corner of the home screen. My signal at home fluctuates from room to room so a boosted signal would be good. Is there another setting on the phone to receive uma ?
I recently got this C905. From that day I am not able to get my GPS work. I activated Airtel Mobile office too. I even tried with the Wifi connection. When I go to Wayfinder - Plan rout - A - My Position: I get this error message as" GPS receiver does not receive signals. Please make sure that nothing is blocking the GPS signal (e.g. a roof, building, etc) and try again. I have tried it out even on ground. But is is not functioning. All my other friends can Use GPS from this place from their NOKIA cell, so that means to say that GPS is accessible in the place where I am. Why cant I use GPS.
My phone can't receive texts or phone calls although it has a full signal! I've tried all the suggestions I can find....restored, reset, sim out, switching off and on, changing carriers then back to Vodafone.
Poor network reception, not a network provider issue. SIM works fine different phone. It does not receive any signal indoors need to be outside or near a window. What may be wrong with the phone?
When I am at home my 3g signal will go from 4 bars down to 3,2,1 and go back to 3. Does your signal on your iphone 4 act like this? I have a 3g next to it and it stays on 4-5 bars.
My Curve 8520 had been working fine for quite some time and then suddenly no signal from anywhere. I rebooted the phone and I get Device Error: 407. It's not recognized by the charger or the desktop via USB. Desktop software says I have latest OS.
I have an iphone 4 about 1 year old i live about 300m from the optus 3g tower and i am with optus and most of the time i only get SOS on my iphone. Why is this? How can i resolve? also my friend has an iphone 3 with optus and gets meduium coverage at my house

Whenever I switch ON 3G, both phone & cellular data works. But when i switch OFF the 3G, phone shows no service for long time. Total network is lost. This may persist for as much as 15-20 minutes. This happens with even full battery & good signal strength in the area.
i just bought this x3-00 online thinking its unlocked. i have telcel (mexico) and i cannot get signal. i dont even have a clue who the original phone company is for my phone. how can i find this out?
the past 3/4 days my blackberry cruve signal has gone from 'gprs' to 'gsm' and 'edge' this prevents me from using the internet and bbm, i have tried taking the battery out at least 5 times and have turned the signal on and off around the same ammount of times.
I am trying to connect my htc one with an hml hdmi cable to my tv. Whenever I do this my phone goes into car mode and no signal comes up on my tv. How to fix this?
I have an iPhone 3GS, I've had it for a few months or so but its an old one from when they first released. The wifi never worked from the time I got it. I've reset it, reset the network settings, everything. I can turn wi-fi on and off but it just won't find anything unless I am REALLY close. So when I walk into the actual room where my router is I get a signal, but down the hall, nothing. That means I can't really get wi-fi anywhere else. It didn't really bother me at first because I had 3G anyways but now its annoying that I can't download apps without worrying about my data as I only have 2 gigs. Because it connects when I'm closer I'm guessing its a hardware issue?
I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".
Found that the top right shows a red SOS instead of a signals bar at night, I have tried to remove the battery to restart, I have put the other SIM card which is currently works on the other phone, but it is still not working at all.
I have a Bold 9900. I receive a number of legitimate business emails through MS Outlook on my laptop, although some may incorrectly come through labelled "bulk" in Outlook (i.e. an email sent from someone I know just to me). These same emails do not come through on my BB. My BB does otherwise receive emails. how to correct so I receive all emails on my BB. I am not on a BES.
i am not receiving all of my Yahoo emails on my phone. There is no pattern to those I receive and those I don't.i have changed no settings on my phone and everything was normal 7-10 days ago. Yahoo initially told me to remove the Yahoo account on my phone, re-boot and then re-load the account. It's made no difference.I also have a business email set up on the phone which seems to be working fine.
I'm still not receiving texts after various handset resets and checking all my settings, i've recently been on holiday and while there turned off roaming data and when i got back i switched it back on. Still no joy.
I'm new to this forum, and joined out of necessity as I have a strange problem which wasn't solved by servicing or replacing the phone.I have a new E72 and my old phone was (or I still use it) E51.
When I'm at home (!) my E72 shows full signal, "3G" symbol, etc., but when opening the web browser and trying to connect to inernet, the browser crashes immediately and can only download "0 kb". Also friends trying to call me have their calls directed to voicemail or "recipient unreachable". SMS messages do not necessarily arrive immeadiately, but only after I have booted the whole phone. Funny thing is that OUTSIDE my house this problem never seems to occur (OK, I don't know if someone tries to call me and doesn't reach, but seems like the web is working always). I live in a normal apartment building in the middle of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, so there should be no problem of signal and all the signal seems to be at full strength. I'm writing this message on my laptop using a 3G wireless connection - no problems. This was never happening with E51 (same SIM-card and operator) So, I took my E72 to service and got it back week later, or in fact I got a "new one" as they said. In fact, there were still some photos I took before taking the phone to service so perhaps it was the same phone anyway - but had just been reconfigured or something. Anyway - no change in anything. Doesn't work reliably at home. So my only guess is that is there some antenna / connection problem or whatever? Any ideas anyone?
Oh, by the way, I'm and engineer and relatively patient with electronic equipment and did test the phone all around the house and outside, in a train, at office, everywhere. The problems ONLY occur at home.
What should I do if my n97 could not receive satellites signal? When I check satellite status, appear this message: " no satellite data available" My friend is standing right beside me and his Samsung is connecting to the satellites in a few second.
