My other folder will not decrease in size. I have restored it 3 times but 9.1 gig remains. It is factory basic with no additional apps. I have read tons but none of the solutions have worked including checking unchecking music synch etc.

Is there a way to decrease home button sizes? I feel like they are unecessairly big. Also for some reason compared to note 5 and nexus 6p I feel like everything is a tad bit bigger. I have set the display size to smallest but the resolution on my v10 seems to be a little bit magnified.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried most of the things I have come across on line. Does anybody know how i can go about reducing the size of the other folder on my 4s? At the moment it stands at 4.2gb. I have cleared alot of e-mails out of my inbox and i have deleted the history, cache and cookies and I have restored it also but to no avail etc. All these have i think had only a minimal effect on it. Find it hard to believe that it would be comprised of sms, calendar and contacts etc.

I need a way to reduce the backlight more than software will allow.I usually use my phone in the dark,and it is ridiculously bright.There is also a noticeable flicker in the fluorescent backlight.I am almost tempted to pop the thing open and either install LED backlighting or pop a resistor in there.If anyone knows of anything to help, please let me know.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI reset my cellular data usage every month at the beginning of my billing period so that I can keep track of how much data I am using thru out the month. I do not have the unlimited data plan and have gone over a few times. It's usually the last couple days of my billing cycle and I am charged $10 for an extra gig which I barely use 10% of before my usage is restarted for new billing cycle. FYI, they do not carry the remainder of the unused gig that you purchase for $10 which I disagree with. But have accepted. Lol Moving on.
I have two questions. One possibly being answered by the other. 1. Is cellular data used when I sync to iTunes on my home computer to load songs onto my iPhone from my iTunes library(songs that already exist)? 2. What causes the cellular data usage readings in iPhone settings/general/usage/cellular usage to decrease if my last reset has not changed? It is close to end of my billing cycle and I have been keeping close eye. Earlier today it read around 180mb sent/1.2gb received. Now it reads 90mb sent/980 mb recieved. My last reset date reads the same as before. I don't know if my sync and music management had anything to do with the decrease but i didn't notice the decrease until after I had connected to iTunes and loaded music. I should also mention that a 700mb app automatically loaded itself to my phone during the sync process. Is cellular data used at all during any kind of sync /iPhone/iTunes management? Is the cellular data usage reading under iPhone settings a reliable source to keep track of monthly data usage?

The brightness is too intense, surf the web hurts the eyes and can not see the details of a picture because there is too much contrast. It should be an option to decrease the brightness, I am very surprised not to find it. I can lower the sound to protect my ears, I would like to also protect my eyes. Reduce the brightness could also increase the autonomy... I'm waiting for an update of the soft with new option..

If I hold it next to a lamp the brightness will increase, as expected, but when I turn off the lamp and the room is pitch dark, the screen brightness remains the same no matter how long I wait. However if I turn the screen off and on the brightness have decreased.
The light sensor is working. I have tried to adjust the slider in whatever position and been digging through the display settings with no luck.
I come from a Nexus 5 and I'm new to Samsung. It is NOT the edge model.
The battery level often drops while charging. For example, it was 30% when I began to charge it. It reached 80% 20 hours later. I continue to charge it. 8 more hours later it became 0%. A few days ago I started at 15%, went up to 68%, then down to 11% in 30 hours of continuous charging. What is the cause of it? I just deleted many apps hoping to save the battery.
I used HTC 4g Amaze before and loved it. Then I had iPhone 6 for a couple of months, Samsung Note 4 another couple of months. I waited to get M9 believing it to be great due to my past experience with HTC. However, the problems with this new M9 are insurmountable.

I owned a Tour from Sprint. I recently called Sprint because the memory in my phone will significantly decrease within a few hours of resetting it. It drops anywhere from 20MB to 30MB really quick. They sent me another phone and realized they have a disclaimer that if they don't find anything wrong with the device they might charge $75. The apps I normally run is Twitter, Facebook, Email, Memopad, Meterberry, Weatherbug, Slacker, Pandora, SMS, BBM and AppWorld. I want to ask before I switch the device is if that memory problem is normal. I'm running the last OS update from Sprint.
View 4 Replies View Relateda while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.

1. Clicking the blackberry button
2. Clicking messages
3. Clicking the BB button again and scrolling to "View Folder"
There I have options like "browser messages" "facebook messages" "mms inbox" etc.
There are two sections SMS inbox and SMS outbox. I can get to my text messages that way, but its really tedious. If I click on SMS inbox it takes me to what used to be my text screen. When I click the BB button again, there are no "move options"Anyone know how to get it back to being its own icon on the front screen?
I have tried deleting and reinstalling my address, but.same result.

I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. It's frustrating how a person can't hear music at all, and having no use of the volume buttons. I am still under my 30 day warranty, I'm considering taking it back and exchanging for a new one.

Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..
