IPhone :: How To Decrease Backlight Brightness?
Jul 1, 2010I need a way to reduce the backlight more than software will allow.I usually use my phone in the dark,and it is ridiculously bright.There is also a noticeable flicker in the fluorescent backlight.I am almost tempted to pop the thing open and either install LED backlighting or pop a resistor in there.If anyone knows of anything to help, please let me know.

IPhone :: What Causes Cellular Data Usage To Decrease If Last Reset Has Not Changed
May 27, 2012I reset my cellular data usage every month at the beginning of my billing period so that I can keep track of how much data I am using thru out the month. I do not have the unlimited data plan and have gone over a few times. It's usually the last couple days of my billing cycle and I am charged $10 for an extra gig which I barely use 10% of before my usage is restarted for new billing cycle. FYI, they do not carry the remainder of the unused gig that you purchase for $10 which I disagree with. But have accepted. Lol Moving on.
I have two questions. One possibly being answered by the other. 1. Is cellular data used when I sync to iTunes on my home computer to load songs onto my iPhone from my iTunes library(songs that already exist)? 2. What causes the cellular data usage readings in iPhone settings/general/usage/cellular usage to decrease if my last reset has not changed? It is close to end of my billing cycle and I have been keeping close eye. Earlier today it read around 180mb sent/1.2gb received. Now it reads 90mb sent/980 mb recieved. My last reset date reads the same as before. I don't know if my sync and music management had anything to do with the decrease but i didn't notice the decrease until after I had connected to iTunes and loaded music. I should also mention that a 700mb app automatically loaded itself to my phone during the sync process. Is cellular data used at all during any kind of sync /iPhone/iTunes management? Is the cellular data usage reading under iPhone settings a reliable source to keep track of monthly data usage?

Nov 14, 2012The brightness is too intense, surf the web hurts the eyes and can not see the details of a picture because there is too much contrast. It should be an option to decrease the brightness, I am very surprised not to find it. I can lower the sound to protect my ears, I would like to also protect my eyes. Reduce the brightness could also increase the autonomy... I'm waiting for an update of the soft with new option..

Nov 16, 2015So my brand new s6 doesn't seem to auto dim the screen brightness.
If I hold it next to a lamp the brightness will increase, as expected, but when I turn off the lamp and the room is pitch dark, the screen brightness remains the same no matter how long I wait. However if I turn the screen off and on the brightness have decreased.
The light sensor is working. I have tried to adjust the slider in whatever position and been digging through the display settings with no luck.
I come from a Nexus 5 and I'm new to Samsung. It is NOT the edge model.

Aug 10, 2015The battery level often drops while charging. For example, it was 30% when I began to charge it. It reached 80% 20 hours later. I continue to charge it. 8 more hours later it became 0%. A few days ago I started at 15%, went up to 68%, then down to 11% in 30 hours of continuous charging. What is the cause of it? I just deleted many apps hoping to save the battery.
I used HTC 4g Amaze before and loved it. Then I had iPhone 6 for a couple of months, Samsung Note 4 another couple of months. I waited to get M9 believing it to be great due to my past experience with HTC. However, the problems with this new M9 are insurmountable.

It drops anywhere from 20MB to 30MB really quick. They sent me another phone and realized they have a disclaimer that if they don't find anything wrong with the device they might charge $75. The apps I normally run is Twitter, Facebook, Email, Memopad, Meterberry, Weatherbug, Slacker, Pandora, SMS, BBM and AppWorld. I want to ask before I switch the device is if that memory problem is normal. I'm running the last OS update from Sprint.

Sep 20, 2011a while back my xperia mini started with this annoying (and weird ) habit to slowly decrease the volume on the left speaker when playing music. It starts out as normal balance but after a few songs the left is starting to go down to a very low level. Not muting it completely though. It doesn't replug the headphones or even restart the phone. When I give up and leave it for a while it returns to normal though...for a while. Do you think it's hardware or software based? Since it takes a while for the volume to go down I feel it can be difficult for a support to properly analyze it. I'm running stock android 2.1-update1. I've tried different music players but it stays the same.

I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue. Jun 18, 2012One time I edited photos from my Camera Roll taken from our trip. About 6 of em i think. Then it crashed, gave me a black screen so i had to restart my phone. The next morning when i check my PHOTOS, the 6 photos were gone!! Now, while I was on Skype video chat, I took maybe 10 screenshots and of course you're able to hear the shutter every time. But when I check my PHOTOS, they are not there! I feel really bad because the photos i took were very important to me. I am so worried that this will happen again if i go on trip or capture a precious moment and find out that i got nothing.

Jul 13, 2015I have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.

When I click on Media Sync/Pictures it doesn't show any photos at all. I read that it is suggested to go back to the version that used Roxio but that version always crashed my computer so that's not an option for me. How do I get my photos from my bb to my laptop? I certainly don't want to have to email them all.
