I have an IPhone 4S which gets extreamly burning hot when charging and quite burning hot under normal use it gets hot on the stainless steal bands and the battery and even the screen!Battery drains in 1 hour. Whats going on?Will i have to have a replacement?
i need to confirm how to go ahead and replace it .
When i use 3G my phone gets so hot that i can't even hold it. When i use 3G my Battery goes down at a very fast rate in 1 hrs it can go to 100% to 5%.
If i use my phone normally it works fine i can get a good battery backup of arnd 7-9 hrs but if i use 3G around 1.5 - 2.0 Hrs.
When the phone on 3G it gets so hot that i have to leave it for around 30 minutes so i can use it .. to which i doubt it might damage some hardware also .
This is running iOS 5.01. I have tried to Restore it back but its still the same.
I would request if you guys can help me ..
Awaiting a positive reply from your end .. , I need to get this done ASAP.
I have an iPhone 4 with Movistar. I bought my iPhone on May/2011 and i started having problems with the home button during february. I took my iPhone to Movistar technical service and the give a new one.
Whitin minutes of using my new iPhone 4, i noticed that the gadget was really hot and the battery drained really fast. Also, i could only talk if a put the phone on speaker mode and not in the usual way. On the next hours, the iphone was so hot that it feel like it burn my hand and hurts, no damage, but it was hot enough to hurt.
I took it to Movistar first thing in the morning and they noticed the problem right away (it was new), but they don´t want to give me other at the moment, i have to wait 10 days, i already waited 10 days the first time, so they can see and then give me a solution. I think that they never got me a new iPhone the first time, and only replace it with a used one. Movistar Chile is know for they corrupt practices
There is no Apple oficial representation here, so i don´t know who can i contact, but i trust the quality of Apple products (i have and iMac and an iPod Touch also), so i know that the company don´t hand defective new products like that.
My iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1) was not quite two weeks old, and had experienced none of the overheating problems that are reported sporadically in various fora. Then, last night, I shot a 21-minute video. By the end the phone was fairly hot, though it did not shut down or display the green-triangle "overheated" image. I stopped the video and noticed that the left-hand quarter of the touchscreen no longer worked: for example, nothing happened when any icons in the left-hand column of any screen were touched. Display was unaffected, but nothing (cooling down, cycling power, resetting the phone, etc) restored the touchscreen function.
I took the phone to an Apple store today and they gave me a new one, saying this is a problem that they hadn't seen (which they always say, of course). But I'm still curious because my first stop was the Verizon store across the street, where I bought the phone in the first place. The Verizon folks told me that (1) they would not replace the phone, because (2) it sounded to them that I might have voided my warranty, on account of shooting a continuous 21-minute video, as (3) this overheating during video recording and trashing the screen was a known issue in iPhone 4Ss, which I should have known about, and at any rate (they stated emphatically), iPhones were not designed for long video shoots. Not only had I not heard any of this, I had heard the contrary many times, so I'm still wondering whether they were just trying to BS me or whether there really have been similar reports that just hadn't got publicized yet.
The black screen appears in my iphone4S.At the same time,my phone heating is not normal. When the temperature drops down and it will automatically restore.Where is the problem?Hardware or Software? Can you help me,please?I bought it in the last month.
My iPhone 4 is over heating on the right hand side of the devise (looking at the back of the phone) below the camera when it is charging and in use. It even happens when only one app is open such as the messages.
New iPhone 6. Update to iOS 8.1.1 crashed the phone necessitating a restore from backup. Since upgrading, device overheating (you could fry an egg on it) with intense battery drain and Touch ID just totally failed. When trying to re-initiate, the training screen quits immediately to a failure screen. Unable to delete old training data.
There are 2 things that i have a problem with my iphone 5s firstly just recently/today i was having just using it generally not overusing by having lots of apps open as i always shut the apps after i use them , and it started to get really hot , it didnt overheat and no warning came up but it wasnt a temperature which is normal. this happened to me several times recently and i have never thought anything of it but it seems to be getting worse. Also today when it decided to get hot , i opened my safari browser and all my favorites/bookmarks had gone.
My iPhone 4 has cracked 3 different backs from overheating while charging. What else can I do? I'm not due for an upgrade and at this point not sure if I want another iPhone.
My iphone 4S which i had it for the last 7 month start acting up , overheat , draining power dramatically , after resetting everything and restore it back still having the same issue , i went to Apple store , swapped with a new iphone , but few hours later had the same problem .I'm not quite sure if there is a web diagonistics tool i can download and test .
It's been 3-4 months that I have brought iPhone5S. I am also facing overheating and bettery dranage issue with my iPhone5S. It's getting damm hot and restart it self. once my phone shutdown in this scenario, it never started till all of my bettery is not drained. After that I need to charge the bettery again and my phone is started. I have faced this issue twicely in last week.Â
If I am tying to start my iPhone during this situation then some weared screen shown on the iPhone. Sometime it shows apple logo with half yellow and white screen while sometimes it shows startup screen and then never started. My iPhone continuously being hotter untill my whole bettery is not discharged.Â
I am using a iPhone 4S, this afternoon, it started overheating and after a couple of minutes, the battery was close to empty. Wasn't playing or downloading anything.
My iPhone 5 is over heating on charge and it is no longer showing anything on the screen. I was using it when the screen went white and it hasn't worked since. I have tried to both restart it and to restore it. as the screen doesn't not work it is hard to tell the condition of the phone. However it occasionally makes the lock noise when pushing the lock button and also occasionally vibrates when operating the side switch. I can not leave it plugged in on charge as it gets very hot and it is no longer recognised in iTunes unless i put it in recovery mode.Â
I bought an iPhone 4s in November 2013. The phone is through Sprint. (didn't know if that made a difference or not.) In the past 7 months the phones apps have been opening & shutting right down, the app might stay on for 2 minutes if you're lucky. It started out with my Facebook app shutting down, then it progressed to other apps & the repeated random shutdowns have been getting worse. The phone itself overheats without even being plugged into the charger. The Safari is now beginning to close randomly. I called my carrier & they said that they could run a diagnostics test on my phone to see what's making it do what it's doing. Since the phone has been shutting down & randomly shutting apps off for over 7 months, they've ruled out the option of it being a bad software through Apple.
So, was using the video quite a bit today. After a while the phone would shut down due to heat. I was doing quite a bit of video - maybe 15 minutes in a 25 minute span, but was a bit disappointing to be in a situation where I wanted to use video and just couldn't.
So my contract is up and it's time to upgrade from my Nexus 4, but I'm cheap and don't need leading edge technology, and one of the devices I'm looking at is the G3 (the other is the Nexus 5). Reviews that I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive, but two problems that I've seen mentioned are:
Lag can be an issue. The device is susceptible to over heating. The thing is, the reviews I've read are months old, so, are these still problems for the G3, or have they been fixed?
Also, as I'm used to the PureAndroid™ experience of the Nexus 4, how is the interface of the G3 out of the box? I've had a chance to play around with one at the store, and it seems fine, but I'm not the type who wants to tinker too much.
I've had my One for about 4-6 months now. Just recently on my last few charges my phone would become really hot and GSam would say the battery was at around 130F with no increase in charge...I'm using the stock wall charger socket with an HTC mytouch cable (because it's longer than the stock cable).
Has anyone else experienced issues with their 9700 overheating? My berry, usually once a day, will get quite warm. It's not warm enough to burn, but it's definitely warm enough that I go from forgetting my BlackBerry is in my pocket, to having to take it out as it's a tad uncomfortable. I usually do a battery pull to reset it, but it will usually happen a day or so after again. I usually only have 2 additional apps open, usually UberTwitter (updates every 15mins) and WeatherEye (updates every half hour). (I also always double lock the berry, and I have the newest OS for my carrier)
I went to the Telus store and one guy told me I have a broken cell inside the battery. How he can tell this, I don't know. They were going to just replace the battery for me, though they don't seem to have any in the city at the moment.
Anyone have any insight/advice? I was thinking of just asking them to send it away and have it looked at, instead of trying a new battery. When you add this to the rather cheap build quality, and deteriorating finish (after only 3.5 months!!) I can hardly say I'm overly impressed with this device, given how expensive it is.
ps. My berry was made at the infamous Mexico 4 facility.
my blackberry curve 8520 over heated for no reason, so i ignored it as i was at school and when i got out my battery was on red, so i turned it off to save battery, when i came home, i charged it and the screen was black with the little sign to say it was out of battery. i have cleaned the battery out and everything, moved sockets, and after half an hour it still haunt turn on, but it had a red light on the little light thing, also, my charger is very hot. what do i do?!
I have a strange issue. When I plug my phone with USB data cable to PC and select USB storage mode, after I unplug it, and safely remove hardware, The pohne battery starts overheating and draining very fast. It only happens then. If I plug it in charge only mode, everything is okay.
I have a Sony Xperia Z2, I have only had it for about 5 months and it overheats from just using the phone. I googled it and there is no solution, it only comes up with overheating from using 4K camera but I never use that, if I play a game for less than 5 minutes and it gets too hot to even hold, or touch. Also, when it starts to get hot the WiFi starts to act up and it says it is still on and connected but I cant use the internet
I just bought the phone for a week. So far the camera is the biggest problem I face. I am not sure why it keeps having the temperature warning sometimes even I start the camera app sometimes after one or two shots and then it will turn off! It's really annoying. I have Google it everyone mention abt the jellybean version 4.3 is the cause. But I check my phone my version is 4.4. So I assume it's fix right. As a photographer myself the camera function is very important to me!
My phone overheats very quickly when using the camera. Usually, camera fails within 10 or less shots.Anyway to fix this without switching off mobile data? I don't use Bluetooth or WiFi unless pairing with Sony external camera lense via PlayMemories Mobile which usually exacerbates the problem.
I can't turn it off and wait until it cools down I need my phone 24/7 to be on, I can only turn it off while charging which is always at night when i don't need it and don't use it. I cant have a turned off device and wait 30 minutes until it cools down because it overheated.
