View 2 RepliesI'm upgrading to an IPhone 3GS, but would like to keep my iPhone 3G for another phone number that I have. I was wondering whether I could have 2 working IPhones that have essentially the same info on them? Would this create any issues if both sync to the same Mobile Me account? Would I have to repurchase apps on the new IPhone 3GS?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've always love MM especially in the IPhone. However, if Gmail/calendar/services are available via EXCHANGE (true push)(OS 4 have multiple exchange accounts) then MobileMe is losing ground unless APPLE comes up with some new features.
Mail: Gmail > MM given that Gmail is free and EXCHANGE gives it instant push.
Calendar: PUSH unless you have Mac then it's easier to setup MM on iCal
Contacts: PUSH with EXCHANGE
Photo: MM slight edge given it has more space but Pisaso isn't bad
Google voice >> mobile me
Storage: MM (20GB)+ iDisk >Google but you can get other free DROPBOX etc.
Hosting: MM>Google because it can and google doesn't offer this service.
Locate your phone/wipe data: MM>Google
Cost: Google>>> MobileMe, free wins by a LARGE margin
Anyway, the advantages are dwindling fast and MM cost $69-99 per yrs. Come on APPLE give MobileMe some new firepower or offer it free for Apple users!
I have been over the fence on MobileMe. The main attraction for me is the find lost phone feature but 100 bucks seem a bit much for it. The mail/calendar/storage features are attractive but not sure how much I'd use them. Wanted to get a feel from fellow folks here on how they use MM. Attaching a poll.

The 3 accounts are a BlackBerry, Hotmail and a company account (Outlook) with Microsoft Exchange I was able to get the BlackBerry and the Hotmail account to work again by entering the passwords but not the Outlook account, the error message is: [URL] password is invalid. Please try again Last night I was able to get my Outlook email account to work again however I lost it again this morning with same error message, p.s. also lost the other 2 accounts this morning but got them going again easily.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Motorola FlipOut - it was a replacement phone from AT&T because my BackFlip bit the dust after a year. Can't say I'm particularly impressed with the FlipOut either...But onto the main issue (I have many with this phone!) -- as of yesterday, my Gmail account is no longer on my phone. My Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter profiles are fine. When I try to add my Gmail account, it says that there are issues adding it. I don't understand! And it also keeps unlinking contacts - so people I connected in my address book to their Facebook keep unlinking.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently (an hour ago) had my iPhone stolen, so I went to MobileMe and tracked it. It said it is about 26 KM away. My question is, how accurate is MobileMe?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI spent the last two hours trying to get rid of these. Is there any way to delete these without deleting everything off my iPhone and starting over? I followed some steps online about disable the MobileMe calendar option, making a calendar in iCal and syncing that. That only gets rid of one of the MobileMe calendars.

Is there any workaround to use Mail.app with MM / iCloud?
I have just upgraded to iPhone 4s, my wife now has my iPhone 3GS and I've passed on her old iPhone 3G to my son. My wife and I use iCloud but as the iPhone 3G won't work with iCloud, how can I locate it if I want to see if my son has got home from school for example?

I had my yahoo email account set up on my BB Bold 9930, with it's own icon. Suddenly, it is gone. I do have a separate email account on an enterprise server. Both were running fine for months.
1. I tried going to my email>options>email account management>set up email account
The account is now listed as existing, but the emails (or icon) are not showing anywhere on my BB. Emails are not showing up in the main email inbox.I also marked SHOW ALL ICONS and also looked in all folders for a separate Yahoo icon like I had before. Nothing.
2. I tried downloading a Yahoo mail app
I cannot find any that do not give me a "app not compatible with BB 9930"
I'm currently running the 4.1 GM and noticed when I restored my phone as a new phone and had to redo all my MobileMe stuff that Notes was no longer an option for syncing.
It was available in 4.02 if I remember correctly but now it's suddenly gone. Can anyone else confirm this? Or has it been missing for awhile and I just never noticed?
I have all my contacts on my iPhone. How do I get these contacts into MobileMe and Outlook 2007? When I right click the MobileMe application and select Sync Now, it doesn't sync any of my phone contacts to MobileMe or Outlook. How do I do it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBoth my gf and I upgraded to the new iPhone4.I figured I would try the free trial of MobileMe since Ive heard horror stories of friends losing phones and/or contacts.I set up my phone to have a MobileMe account and uploaded my contacts no problem and its even syncing over WiFi.It did double up on a few of my contacts for some reason but other than that it was great.Until I discovered that it was syncing my contacts to my gf new iPhone4 as well. This phone didnt even have the MobileMe account set up or activated on it.I checked the sync screen under INFO and under MobileMe it still says SET UP NOW?I cant seem to figure out why it's doing this or how to stop it.

I was wondering, since his phone is still logged in to Facebook and Skype, can it be located somehow through them?

Well I am a developer and downloaded the official 4.1 gm from apple and installed. Every thing seemed fine until someone sent me a text and only the phone number showed up and not their name, went to contacts and saw that they did not sync with MobileMe. I tried toggling contacts in settings, did not help, I also tried deleting MobileMe account and resetting it up, nothing seems to work. I checked my MobileMe account and all the contacts are still there, I also checked my iPad and the contacts are still syncing there fine. One other thing is the calendar and book marks don't sync either.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI never had this, albeit minor, problem on my old 3G. On my IP4.01 the MobileMe calendars are a little slow to load when I switch from month to month. For example, if I open up the calendar app, July loads up with all 4 of my calendars quickly. When I click to switch to August, it pauses for a few seconds, moves to the August calendar, then pauses for 5 seconds or so before the appointments display. It sounds petty, but its really annoying when I'm trying to quickly check my schedule.

I am very familiar with the iPhone and MacBook, however not so much with the Android and GMail settings.

iPhone 4, iOS 5, iCloud. I have several email accounts on my iPhone and for some reason, it gives me an alert sound every time I get an email on my me.com account. The others don't alert me - I don't want alerts on any of them.
I turned Mail off in Notifications center and can't seem to find a notification setting for individual accounts. To be clear, I only get a tri-tone alert sound when .me mail comes in. Nothing in notification center. It gets really annoying because I'll get Apple marketing emails at 2-5am, waking me from my peaceful slumber!
Strange issue with my BlackBerry contacts. Nearly all of my phone numbers disappeared and I panicked immediately. I came to realize that this happened when I added a new Gmail account to my Blackberry. Not sure if the new Gmail Sync had anything to do with it, but I found that all of my BlackBerry contacts are NOW in Contacts when I log into Gmail on the web. And the contacts that I do have in my phone happen to be all email addresses (mostly no numbers, but some) that were previously all saved in my web Gmail. It's like they just switched places.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to iPhone 4. I have MobileMe and haven't had any syncing problems between my MacBook iCal, MobileMe web calendar, and Calendar on my iPhone 3G. Now, whenever I modify a previously-created event on my iPhone, it creates a new event on MobileMe and my MacBook iCal with the newest event info, leaving the old one intact. No duplicate on my iPhone.

I think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.
