IPhone :: How To Get Contacts From Backup Folder In Mobile Sync
Apr 23, 2012
I lost all contacts etc with new iphone. I found (Windows 7) the backup folder in Mobile Sync but the entries are just clusters of numbers/letters which make no sense and I can't open them with itunes. How can I get at the data?
I was restoring my iPhone from the iTunes backup, but I forgot the password for the backup and I could not find a way to recover my photos.I wonder if there is any way to recover my pictures from the backup that was kept inthe MobileSync folder. This is very important to me, if you could help me, make mevery happy. Thank you very much.
Right now I have multipule contacts on my atrix that are "linked." Is there anyway to permanently consolidate all the linked contacts into one and export all my contacts as a csv file for outlook and gmail?
I have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.
I just downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Software for my Mac and Clicked on Backup, and Sync, and restore, and all my contacts got deleted! How can I get them back!
I tried to soft reset my Lumia 800, after I add in all my live account, gmail and facebook, I found that all my contacted that used to linked together, I need to relink them again. Is there a way that I can backup the contacts and I don't need to link them again after I reset the phone.
clarify where the Mobile Applications folder should be found. Sometimes I find it in the Itunes Media folder and sometimes it's next to it. I have this problem because I store my stuff on a server (NAS). And I go into Itunes preferences and set this location. But when I syncronize I get errors the certain apps are not updated or installed because they can't be found..
My iPhone 4 is at the latest iOS version. Ever since I started using it in December I've found out that at the same time every day(midnight) when connected to wifi it will use a considerable amount of 3G. I only recently found this out last month when I went over my monthly allowance.
I can only surmise that iCloud is somehow using the mobile data connection to backup when I've locked my phone, plugged it into the wall to charge and am asleep.
My wife has the same phone and does the same thing as I do at night but her phone doesn't use any 3G data when backing up.
Having checked my mobile bill for the last few months it is at exactly midnight that the phone starts using 3G data.....every night, without fail!
First off I'm brand new to the iphone ive been using android for the last 3 years in which this process is very easy but im having the worst time trying to figure out how to accomplish this task. I have a documents folder with a ton of sub folders & files that I want to sync or just import to my iphone without a cloud service & without spending hours importing each file. Sorry in advance if this is an easy task & I look stupid for asking but ive tried searching & cannot find a answer.

I am having trouble finding my nandroid backup file made with TWRP. I can't even find the TWRP directory! This file system is so confusing! I have tried ES File Explorer, Root Browser, and tried searching the file system using my laptop. I have even searched for "2014-12-13" and nothing is found. Nexus 5 on Android 5.0 w/ TWRP v2.8.1.0
Unlocking the bootloader of my nexus wiped clean the internal storage. Although I did not lose much but it made me realize that I should have a backup system in place where everything is being backed up on my home NAS on a daily scheduled basis. I am planning to buy Seagate 4 TB (STCG3000200) which will be connected to my router. now I am looking for a way where I can schedule a incremental dump or differential dump of my phone on a daily basis so I dont have to worry about the backups any more.
I plugged it in, and it synced automatically. It did not ask if I wanted to restore it or anything. I hadn't has my old one updated to the new OS, as this one is.
my last iphone was stolen and i got a new one (4s). i accidently connected it to my itunes already and didn't know i was supposed to use the backup when it popped up. does anybody know how do i sync this new iphone with the backup of my last one?
I wanted to update my software to the latest version so before i did that i made sure i synced/backed up my phone. Then i restored my phone from back up only to find that my contacts have all dissapeared. Why?
All my apps, calender, notes, photos etc have appeared except for my contacts.
I have an IPhone that syncs to my Outlook 2010 via Exchange. The email and calendar syncs automatically. I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?
While we were on vacation my brother in law upgraded to an iPhone 4 and I bought his old 3G and jailbroke it using Spirit. I also unlocked it to use on TMobile. Now that I'm home, I wanted to sync it or back it up so that I wouldn't lose apps and such. I don't have any music or videos on it but would like to do that eventually also.
1. I tried to sync some TV shows and it said that this iPhone was associated with another iTunes library so the sync would erase what was on the phone and replace it with what's on my Mac. My question here is, does it just erase things like videos and music, or will it also torch my apps and erase the jailbreak?
2. I notice when you right click the iPhone icon in the left side pane in iTunes there's a "Back up" option. Does that backup all of my apps to iTunes without erasing data on the phone or messing up the jailbreak?
I've just got an iphone 4 and I want to know how to sync it with my old iphones backup. Secondly after I've done this I want to transfer my iphone backup from my old pc to my new mac.
so i lost my 32GB 4gs, got a 8GB 4gs and went to restore it from an older back up of the 32GB. obviously i can't restore all the music etc, the ONLY thing i actually tried to sync to the new phone was contacts, but somehow i have a phone filled to the max with "other" ? can't figure out exactly what it is. it's weird cuz it says it's 1MB short of making the full sync.
