The "clear all" button does not light up to allow me to clear deleted messages
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.
What's the best way to save voicemails from iPhone to mac?

I have iOS 8.1.1. on my iphone 5C. When I double-click on the home button, a list of recent contacts--from phone, message, facetime--shows up at the top. While that's a "nice to have," I might not want to see that--nor have an e-trail for snooping others to peruse. The problem is, while I can clear recents in the apps, the list still persists when I double-click the home button. How do I clear this or submit a request to add a clearing feature to the settings?

I cannot download my old voicemails. I recently had to reset my iPhone 4s, and this was automatically done. I find no place to do this on my phone.

how to download my voicemails on my iPhone 3G to my iMac (maybe put it in iTunes)? I really need to save the voicemails.

My iPhone 5 reliably showed a red symbol for new voicemail messages. Since the upgrade to 8.1.1, voicemail notification or red symbol is completely unreliable. The voicemails are there, but usually I'm not seeing any indication that they exist so I am missing voicemail messages. Today, found messages from past 3 days.

I have an iPhone 4. Operating system 5.0.1. Other people aren't receiving my voicemails. And it is not just other iPhone users it's landlines too. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it. It isn't all the time though is the thing that's weird.

A couple months ago my boyfriend gave me his iPhone 4 instead of being stuck with my 3GS so I did a backup and then plugged in the iPhone 4 and set it up using the backup from my 3GS so everything transferred over. It was awesome because it worked so well, even transferring over my ALARMS, but today I realize that none of my saved voicemails transferred over. Normally this isn't a huge deal but my mom passed away a few months ago and I had several voicemails saved from her that I would listen to whenever I missed her and wanted to hear her voice.

When I go to voicemail it just dials my voicemail like the old days with a flip phone. I am no longer getting voicemail notifications either. Called sprint and they said it was apple's problem and a software update was needed. Apple denied this and recommended a hard reset which did not work. They are going to call me back later with other options to try to fix it but this requires that I have another phone which won't happen till later tonight. Any tips? I'd like to get visual voicemail back and I'd also like my old voicemails too! Is this a sprint or apply problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to reset my phone this weekend and lost all of my text messages due to not backing up to icloud for an extended period of time. I'm attempting to get my contacts back in order and have been using my AT&T detailed bill to get some old numbers but the phone numbers associated with text messages sent via imessage are not showing up. Is there any way to retreive those numbers?

So I have a 16GB Galaxy s5 and am down to 1GB of free space, though it's been less than that before and prevented updates. I thought the problem would be pictures and videos but it turns out 3GB are being used for contact storage, this is absurd because I only have 236 contacts. I do have it connected to my FB so I have contact photos on most, but that still seems like a ridiculous amount of space. I've had the phone for about a year and I clear cached data regularly because of the space issue. What do I do? Do I need to delete the contact photos? And if so how? Is there some sort of cloud storage I could use to get the data off my phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI deleted the backup file while trying to update to 5.1.1. My phone wouldn't update and I read that I needed to delete the previous backup (bad idea). Well after I updated OS I can't backup to get my previous files and contacts. This is horrible and I am lost at this point on what to do. And I haven't been using iCloud.

I'm on Verizon with my S5 and just updated to Lollipop. I was able to clear my clipboard on KitKat 4.4.4 by taping my phone icon then long press on the open space on the phone. I had the options to clear the whole clipboard or just the items you wanted. So how do you now clear the clipboard on Lollipop? Tried the way I always did it (as stated above) and nothing shows up.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't even update apps on on my Verizon Galaxy S5. I uninstalled several apps to try to free up room, but I'm still getting "insufficient space" errors. Photos and videos are going to direct to SD card (unless I'm doing it wrong, but I see the SD card indicator). Is there a quick way to tell which app may be putting too much data on the phone rather than the SD card? Or where space is being taken up that can be freed or moved?

From what I have read, it is possible to recover the photos (ie, "don't use the iphone so the data is overwritten") but I have zero idea how to do that.Â
