IPhone :: Visual Voicemails Didn't Transfer When Switching From 3GS To 4
Jun 22, 2012
A couple months ago my boyfriend gave me his iPhone 4 instead of being stuck with my 3GS so I did a backup and then plugged in the iPhone 4 and set it up using the backup from my 3GS so everything transferred over. It was awesome because it worked so well, even transferring over my ALARMS, but today I realize that none of my saved voicemails transferred over. Normally this isn't a huge deal but my mom passed away a few months ago and I had several voicemails saved from her that I would listen to whenever I missed her and wanted to hear her voice.
When I go to voicemail it just dials my voicemail like the old days with a flip phone. I am no longer getting voicemail notifications either. Called sprint and they said it was apple's problem and a software update was needed. Apple denied this and recommended a hard reset which did not work. They are going to call me back later with other options to try to fix it but this requires that I have another phone which won't happen till later tonight. Any tips? I'd like to get visual voicemail back and I'd also like my old voicemails too! Is this a sprint or apply problem?
I just bought the Corby Plus B3410 and it didn't come with a transfer cable or any software. I bought the correct size memory card with a card reader and I am now trying to make my own ringtones. It will let me use regular mp3 files as message alerts but not as a ringtone. I even attempted to use a DRM packager to forward-lock the files onto the memory card but it still wasn't accepted. It was a Sony Ericsson DRM packager but I don't know if that had anything to do with.
had it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing. When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!
My iPhone 5 reliably showed a red symbol for new voicemail messages. Since the upgrade to 8.1.1, voicemail notification or red symbol is completely unreliable. The voicemails are there, but usually I'm not seeing any indication that they exist so I am missing voicemail messages. Today, found messages from past 3 days.
Unfortunately after my mums iphone was synced she has lost some voicemails which are very important to her. Her friend passed away and they are all she has left of her. Any way to get these back.
I have an iPhone 4. Operating system 5.0.1. Other people aren't receiving my voicemails. And it is not just other iPhone users it's landlines too. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it. It isn't all the time though is the thing that's weird.
Running 45.4.13 with Voicemail App Version T.5.2.0.26, I have the following issue:
1. I get voicemails 2. When I try to retrieve the voicemail I cannot play it and an errors pops saying "Unable to Play" 3. I have to reboot the phone in order to retrieve voicemail. 4. I do get a dialog that something about verifying account information.
I don't have any third party apps installed related to voicemail. This behavior started happening after the update.
I want to upgrade to the iPhone 6 and want to know if there is a way that I can back up my saved voicemails, from iPhone 5, so that they load onto my new iPhone.
Today I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.
I would like to install & use a "visual voicemail" app on my Nexus 5 (AT&T is my carrier). AT&T's visual voicemail app is available only pre-installed on its (AT&T-sold) phones. There is an AT&T Voicemail Viewer app, but it works only on certain phones.
I want an app that will handle voicemails, convert voice to text , etc. I would use Google Voice, but it appears that GV might be discontinued or maybe rolled into the confusing Hangouts app.
Recently, over the last several weeks, my Turbo isn't receiving phone calls. I'll get missed calls and/or voicemails without a single ring. I've checked my ringer settings, looked deeper into notification settings and it still happens. I looked into the Moto assist app too to see if I was in drive mode and haven't noticed a change.
I just tried to update my iPhone 4S to the newest version (7.1.2 or .3?) and after my phone restarted it stayed on the loading screen (you know the one, the apple symbol and a loading bar) and it has stayed on the same point in the bar for at least an hour. the update is only 26 mg so it shouldn't have taken this long, and i have no way of making my phone responsive again.
after updating my apps, I noticed one particular app didn't update, rather it appears to have installed a second icon for the same app instead, so there are now two identical icons, but one of them is grey and doesn't work, and when I hold down the icons to make them jiggle, it doesn't have an x for me to delete it. How do I get rid of this ugly waste of space?! Â
--I checked my app purchases, definitely only ever downloaded one version of this app.
--not an app that comes with the phone, so I should be able to delete it.
--there's no info below the frozen app (no progress bar, it doesn't say "waiting" or anything like that)
--I don't have a computer, so deleting through iTunes isn't an option.Â
For some reason I don't have an option for visual voicemail on my iphone 4. I click on "voicemail" and it takes me straight away to the voicemail number and gives me no option at all for visual voicemail.
I can see all my existing voicemails (pre upgrade) but any new ones that come in are there briefly but then disappear. They are still on the server however because I can dial in and listen to them.
On an iPhone 4S, who do we set up visual voicemail? Currently, when you click on voicemail, it calls and you have to listen to all of the messages. In settings, there is no option under the phone tab to set up the visual voicemail. I even tried restoring the phone back to factory settings and that didnt work.
