Dec 5, 2014My iPhone 5 reliably showed a red symbol for new voicemail messages. Since the upgrade to 8.1.1, voicemail notification or red symbol is completely unreliable. The voicemails are there, but usually I'm not seeing any indication that they exist so I am missing voicemail messages. Today, found messages from past 3 days.

Jun 22, 2012A couple months ago my boyfriend gave me his iPhone 4 instead of being stuck with my 3GS so I did a backup and then plugged in the iPhone 4 and set it up using the backup from my 3GS so everything transferred over. It was awesome because it worked so well, even transferring over my ALARMS, but today I realize that none of my saved voicemails transferred over. Normally this isn't a huge deal but my mom passed away a few months ago and I had several voicemails saved from her that I would listen to whenever I missed her and wanted to hear her voice.

Apr 13, 2012When I go to voicemail it just dials my voicemail like the old days with a flip phone. I am no longer getting voicemail notifications either. Called sprint and they said it was apple's problem and a software update was needed. Apple denied this and recommended a hard reset which did not work. They are going to call me back later with other options to try to fix it but this requires that I have another phone which won't happen till later tonight. Any tips? I'd like to get visual voicemail back and I'd also like my old voicemails too! Is this a sprint or apply problem?

Motorola Photon 4G :: Cannot Retrieve Voicemails After 45.4.13 Update
Jul 16, 2012Running 45.4.13 with Voicemail App Version T.5.2.0.26, I have the following issue:
1. I get voicemails
2. When I try to retrieve the voicemail I cannot play it and an errors pops saying "Unable to Play"
3. I have to reboot the phone in order to retrieve voicemail.
4. I do get a dialog that something about verifying account information.
I don't have any third party apps installed related to voicemail. This behavior started happening after the update.

Sep 23, 2015Today I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.

I want an app that will handle voicemails, convert voice to text , etc. I would use Google Voice, but it appears that GV might be discontinued or maybe rolled into the confusing Hangouts app.

Sep 9, 2010With 4.0 to 4.0.2 the speed at which the iPhone 4 took pictures was amazing. Now with 4.1 it seems to take longer, not much longer but long enough that you can easily miss a shot.Even with HDR off it still takes some time to take a photo. On 4.0.1 I could take several photos super fast, but now the shutter comes over the screen for like a second which is much longer than before.I even tried to take a series of photos in quick succession and one turned out blank.Is it just me or is it just a result of 4.1 and the HDR feature (even though it's off)?

May 6, 2010I lost my original backup file for my 3GS and I am getting a replacement today. I called the apple store and the mac genius told me to create a backup, I downloaded a fresh copy of itunes to my new laptop, connected the 3GS, on the icon I right clicked "create backup" and the back up started, my phone says, sync in process the little wheel is turning so I know its reading and the meter is moving but its moving very slow, I started this at 6:35am and now it's 9:02am and it's only half way. Is this normal?, does it take this long to create a first backup file? I have a 16Gb but I have 10Gb free, I dont have much in it, just about 1184 pics and some applications.

Jun 22, 2010So I starting the process to upgrade my 16GB iPhone 3G last night to OS4. After a few hours I stopped it because it kept getting hung up during the backup, or so I thought. I then deleted all the video on my phone, thinking that would speed thinks up with the backup. I got my data down to less than 3GB, started the download again and went to bed.
After letting the download run all night, I checked it today only see it again appears to be stuck at around 1% of the backup process. I will let it run for another day, but are you kidding me?
How many days does it take to finish this freaking upgrade?

Apr 7, 2012I decided to try to unlock my iPhone 3gs (was on Orange UK - moving to a monthly contract on 3) and so connected it to my PC (running Windows 7) - this is the first time I've ever connected it to this PC and the first time in probably 18 months that I've hooked it up to itunes on a PC at all (everything I've bought has just been via the phone). I started by backing up - that took a *very* long time (at least 12 hours, but I had to leave it all day and overnight so I can't be certain of the time). Then I unlocked the phone, as per instructions from Orange - that seems to have worked fine. Now, after prompting from itunes, I'm attempting an upgrade to iOS 5.1 (I think I was on iOS 4) - this is after transferring all my paid content to itunes. It says that it's backing up - it's been going for about 2 hours now, and it's about 5% of the way through, judging by the progress bar. Is this really going to take me as long as it looks like? Why do I need another backup if I've just carried one out? Can I cancel this (by clicking 'Stop') without bricking my phone?
