Lumia Icon :: Network Signal Strength
Feb 22, 2014So I made the leap from my iPhone 5S to the Icon on Friday and I'm enjoying it thus far. One thing I've noticed; however, is that the Verizon Network signal strength isn't nearly as good and I'm not sure if there's a way to reset it or others can confirm. For example at my house, where I always had 3-4 bars of LTE with my iPhone 5s and the 5 before it - I now can only get 2 with the Icon.

Jul 16, 2014I had 3G connection until today afternoon. To check if the Cyan update is available, I changed the region to US and back to India. After this the phone is not connecting to cellular data network, even though I can make voice calls. It connects to Wi-Fi without issues. So far I have tried the following -
1. Soft reset (power and volume down)
2. Change region back and forth
3. Hard reset (twice)
Internet APN is set to internet, but still no connection and the status bar is not showing E/3G or H+.

Apr 19, 2015I always had a strange problem in my S5 with the wifi manager.He keeps crashing when i turn it on. Example: i turn the wifi on by the the notification panel and press the WiFi icon to see the possible networks, but i cant scroll down because the wifi manager crashs, and i have to wait until it "uncrash" to select the network, and it crashs again when start to browse for other networks...It's annoying, but now i'm having other problem with the wifi. I have updated my S5 to lolipop yesterday, and i noticed another problem with the wifi. The first problem still exists, but now, when i turn on the wifi it takes something like 30 ~ 40 seconds to turn on.

Apr 8, 2010I recently purchased a samsung SGH-F480. Thanks to this forum website I was able to enter the proper codes so it would work with my provider (At&t). However, the icon always shows as G network, and not 3G. Does anybody know what the problem is or/and how to fix it? My phone is 3G capable, so I know the phone should be able to do that. What can I do? Who is "in charge" of that: the phone or the service provider?

Sep 7, 2010it will say i have full bars and the 3G icon is up, but it will say "can't active data network" and i can't get anything to load.
every now and then it will suddenly have "no service" and then back to full. but still no data loads.

IPhone :: Lost Icon For 'contacts' / Can Still Find Them By Searching But Icon Has Disappeared?
Apr 8, 2012I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

Jul 25, 2010When I get a new SMS, it is the same as a new e-mail icon. However, this is not supposed to be so... SMS's are supposed to be a slanted envelop. I never had this problem with my old curve 8320. I've also had this icon issue since I got my phone several months ago. The icons remain the same no matter which OS version I use. I am on T-mobile.
