I got the iPhone 4 pre-ordered. I don't like it as well as the 3GS. Can I backup the iPhone 4, take the phone back for a refund (not the question), and restore my 3GS from backup and have it work the same as before with updates and all?
I have a concern at how well the new iPhone 4 will feel in the hand. I have a first generation Touch, that has a flat back and it's harder to comfortably hold in my hand compared to the rounded back of my iPhone 3G. I never thought the rounded back would make that much of a difference, but it does. Any thoughts?
I tried to download a ringtone and my phone then told me it needed to restore because of the updates. I transferred my purchases over but stupidly didn't make a back up. After restorting I realised the most recent back up I had was for April. So I used that back up. However does anybody know whether it is possible, in any way, for me to get my phone restored back to just before it decided to restore. I've tried looking through the forums but have had no luck.
Ive been using the Sensation since more than two weeks now.... At first it was perfectly fine but now Im having problems with the auto rotate... When i tilt the phone it does go to the Landscape mode however when i tilt it back it fails to go back to portrait.... Its getting a little annoying now so is anyone facing the same problem?
Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
I am a BES user and recently my account had to be recreated. I had taken a back up of the device from desktop manager. However after restore I find that all the BBM contacts, Bookmarks and Auto-text was not restored.I had spent a lot of time in making all the Auto text relevant to me. Doesn't the back-up process back up all these data?
I just upgraded from an 2g iphone to a iphone 3gs after I accident dropped my 2g iphone in flood water. I now have a new computer and it doesn't have the backups from my 2g phone. How can I get the apps that I paid for back?

I don't know if I was just making something up in my head but I just got rid of a nexus 1 and made the decision to go back to a 3GS so I sold the nexus and went on craigslist and purchased a 3GS off someone on craigslist. After about 5 minutes of having it I looked on the back and it just says 16GB iPhone. It is a 3GS because it has the compass the serial #'s match etc etc. I just swore when I got my first 3GS on launch day it said 3GS on the back. Am I tripping or did it just never say that?
I did a jb a couple months ago, I loved it but then it froze on me causing me to restore. So I decided not to jb again. So now instead of having the original "AT&T" on the status bar, it has my name. Do I need to jb it again to change it back? I also remember when I did a back up after a restore, it went from AT&T to my name.
I have a 3gs, 3.1.3 and I do remember saving some sort of file to someone(in order to jb again i suppose?)
I went for a stroll around town today with my iPhone 4, and used it as I normally would. The result was upsetting. In places that my 3GS shined, the iPhone 4 was unable to load a webpage. The overall speed of making phone calls and sending texts was noticeably slower on my iPhone 4. I don't care what the reason is behind this, all I want is my phone to work like it's supposed to! I love the screen and cameras on the 4, but it's just not worth the hassle. I'll wait a few days for Apple to respond, but if they don't I'm switching my 3GS back on and selling my 4 on ebay. Anybody considering the same thing? The 3GS was such a reliable phone for me.
I posted a thread asking how to get various things back onto my iPhone, after a restore, without using a backup.I just restored it and of course everything is deleted. I synced my contacts back but how do I get all my photos back??? I was told I could do this but I have no idea where.
i know there are a lot of posts about this but i cannot seem to get facetime back. i have an iphone 4 with 4.0.0 on it. i jailbreaked my phone after the facetime mms fix was already applied. i havnt tried to use facetime until this morning and i noticed that the icon is missing how the hell do i get it back.
under settings > phone facetime is turned on. i have tried turning it off and on still no facetime option. i am also connected to exchange and have the camera option enabled so how can i get facetime back? should i just upgrade to 4.0.1 since my SHSH blobs are stored?
I was just curious if anyone had an iphone 3g or 3gs and decided to get a nexus one, and after a little while decided that they rather go back to the iphone?
I have an iPhone 3G jailbroken on 3.1.2 and my pc has broke with my backs ups still on itunes on the hard drive that I cannot access. Now I have just bought an new iMac and I was wondering what will happen if I connect my phone to itunes on the new mac? Will I lose all my stuff on my iPhone? Is there anyway I can keep my apps, contacts etc without losing everything? Or should I just never connect my phone to itunes again?
There are some pics that I want to add back to the iPhone that I deleted. I'd like to have it in the iphone folder. Is it possible to add it back? I'm on a iphone 4 so I can't do it through ssh.
I am trying to update it to iOS 5.1, but after it unpacks the software and tries to back up the phone, it ends up disconnecting. It won't even let me back it up to the computer, only to iCloud.
