i know there are a lot of posts about this but i cannot seem to get facetime back. i have an iphone 4 with 4.0.0 on it. i jailbreaked my phone after the facetime mms fix was already applied. i havnt tried to use facetime until this morning and i noticed that the icon is missing how the hell do i get it back.
under settings > phone facetime is turned on. i have tried turning it off and on still no facetime option. i am also connected to exchange and have the camera option enabled so how can i get facetime back? should i just upgrade to 4.0.1 since my SHSH blobs are stored?
I have lost the face time icon from my screen how do i get it back and when i facetime anyone they cant hear me but i can hear them and the phone is not on mute?
So, we get two 16GB i4's yesterday. Set them up and get them all activated.My i4 finally showed Facetime activated late last night. My Wife's finally showed activated this morning. We try a call, fails. Mine still shows activated.Head off to work, noticed I had no 3G for 10 miles. Rebooted the phone, grabbed 3G. My facetime has now gone back to "waiting for activation".On WifI at work, but still no activation !
I have my FaceTime set up on both devices, wifi on full bars, but it says FaceTime failed when I call. I also call from both devices at once and it makes no difference. I know the information is correct.
I have a concern at how well the new iPhone 4 will feel in the hand. I have a first generation Touch, that has a flat back and it's harder to comfortably hold in my hand compared to the rounded back of my iPhone 3G. I never thought the rounded back would make that much of a difference, but it does. Any thoughts?
I tried to download a ringtone and my phone then told me it needed to restore because of the updates. I transferred my purchases over but stupidly didn't make a back up. After restorting I realised the most recent back up I had was for April. So I used that back up. However does anybody know whether it is possible, in any way, for me to get my phone restored back to just before it decided to restore. I've tried looking through the forums but have had no luck.
after watching the promo video I noticed that is stated both caller and receiver have to be on wi-fi to use Facetime. Ok doesn't that really avoid having the ability to chat via video anywhere as advertised. Now when I am on business trip I have to hunt around for wi-fi just to use FaceTime so what is the video chat really gaining me?
I was sitting here pondering, would it possible to when a jailbreak is avaliable for iOS4 , to turn on MyWi broadcasting, automatically connected you to your tethered internet connection and possible to use FaceTime when truely its just your 3G network broadcasted via WiFi
I was excited to see about people getting to use facetime, but 2 people aren't able to get there's until mid July and my brother isn't eligible. Anyone in the same situation?
Actually I just don't know anyone who is getting the ip4 this week and I'm dying to try it out. I will NOT stalk you or anything just wanna try the facetime. Wondering if there's been any talk of a hack via the Jailbreak that would allow FaceTime functionality via 3G reception? Figure it's just a matter of time to trick the phone into thinking it's on a wifi connection (if it hasn't already been done). Any thoughts?
Well if you live long distance from your significant other, there is another possible use for Facetime as long as you both have an i4.
I do not think I need to post the exact topic but funny someone I know doesn't see their partner because of traveling, and it occurred to me what a good feature can do for a relationship
So now that we have FaceTime back on our Jailbroken phones let's figure out a way to get FaceTime going over 3G. I tried 3G unrestrictor for the Phone application but that didn't do the trick.

Hey guys I have a question. Me and my cousin both have iPhone 4s, both jailbroken and both have my3g. But everytime we use FaceTime with eachother the call only lasts exactly 1 min. It's very weird. Does anyone know the problem. And we have tried it many different. Times and at one point even in the same house and that lasted 58 seconds. It just says FaceTime call failed.
Too bad the jailbreak is gone for new iphone's used 3G unrestrictor on a 3G facetime call today. It worked as good as wifi. Well, plus I am still on the unlimited plan. so I suppose that people would not use it then. But, why do they limit such a great feature of the phone. Plus it needs to be opened to Skype, etc. then people would really use it.
I have an Iphone4s...and everytime I try to activate my FaceTime it says an error has occured try again, but it's all the time the same message, what do I need to do to get it working right?
But before I used iPhone 4 and same carrier and working my face time but now when I change my phone to 4s new I don't have face time in the setting but I have I massage ..
