Jul 25, 2012i recently moved to china and unlocked my at&t issued blackberry torch for use here on china unicom. i have a funny issue where some people i can text back and forth with, no problem. but with other people, i can only receive their text messages and they do not receive the messages that i send to them.

And why do their texts come through as single texts to me, then I have to hit a download button, then the text goes through to the group text.
It's become very frustrating and I've never experienced anything like it until I got an s5.

When I went to Settings > Messages, under "Receive at", is at my email address as the default and next to my phone number it says Error.I upgraded my phone, is there a reason this is happening? Jul 5, 2012I have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and my OS is V6.0.0.723. My carrier is AT&T.I am having issues trying to send a TEXT MESSAGE to an EMAIL address. I do not have a data plan.I have a friend that sends me emails from his PC to my CellNumber@txt.att.net and I received them as TEXT MESSAGES. I then reply to that same TEXT MESSAGE and he receives it in his email on his PC.But when I try to send (not just reply) a new TEXT MESSAGE to his EMAIL address, it fails. I get a little red clock for a while, then nothing.I have spoke to AT&T and they say it should work.My friend is also on AT&T, and he too does not have a data plan, and he sends TEXTS to his EMAIL address all the time without challenge. He does not have a Blackberry.

Mar 20, 2010I have recently been on the phone with sprint and i have not been able to receive any messages sms, mms, from att users everyone else is fine this seemed to happen after my number was ported over this week i am a new customer with sprint and the number i had ported over was used from boost that i was running my 8350i with my att friends and family can get my messages but i cannot get theirs anybody else having this problem the advanced tech support for bb at sprint did a master reset and gave me some ## number to enter and th press the call button and had me re-enter two number one being mine and the other with the network this still did not resolve anything i still can not receive any messages and my case is pending wondering if anybody can let me know what might be causing this my phone is only like a week old
