IPhone :: Hide Name And Email Even To Game Center Friends
Apr 5, 2012
How do I hide name and email even to game center friends? I would like to play anonymously, is this possible? I just do not want anyone seeing my name or email and having to deal with spam etc.... the fewer people who know my email the better.
i was looking for some friends in Game Center.. I know its yet unproductive but still, I was looking for at least couple of friends and see what it comes up with.Could you please add my alias "Imtiyaz".
I restored my iphone today, and after that, recent game activity line of all of my friends on my game center friends list shows "Never Played" and has not been updated.
I have 2 games that are compatible with the game center as of right now:
Farmville and Flight Control
Flight control works great, but Farmville isn't even showing up in the game center. Is anyone else having this problem? I deleted farmville and it said it was in the game center so I deleted that setting as well and when I re-downloaded it, it still didn't show up.
After updating (I hope that wasn't a mistake) I am trying to log in to Game Center with my email address, however I get an error saying: "Unavailable Email. This email address is in use by another Apple ID."
I just was looking though my folders I made on my iPhone 4 and I noticed the game center is gone. Not a big deal since it's not really up and running yet but I was just curious if this is happening to everyone or not.
Why isn't there a way to message friends on Game Center? It seems like it's the only thing holding it back from being a true gaming community.Apple should have just bought Openfeint, kept it how it is and rebranded it.
I'm trying to figure out how to get to the games on the new game center app. I go to the games page, but nothing is there, even if I do a search, nothing shows up. Is it not up and running yet? or did I get a bad download / app? Just cant figure out how to get to, or play any games on this new OS app???
I'm probably the only Mac user in this part of the Milky Way who will ask this, but, I want to remove Game Center from MY 3G-S. Any way to do this? (underscores intentional).
I have an Iphone 3GS and can't connect to Game Center. It recognizes my apple ID account, states it was never used with Game Center. Then asks for country, birthdate, then returns to ask country again, then birthdate, and returns to the loop. Never ends the loop unless I cancel the setup process. I have restored the iphone to the factory settings and restored the backup, but did not work.
How do I recover a Game Center ID? My phone was factory reset because the passcode was entered incorrectly 3 times. I am trying to recover my clash of clans account.
I need decrypt key for iPhone 4 iOS 4.1 so I can extract the GameCenter.app and bang it on my iPhone 4 with 4.0.1, keeping my jailbreak. Or, if anyone already has the final GameCenter.app they wish to share with me?
Do you think theres any way to make game center show up because I see it in iphone explorer and it also shows up in things like rename. Maybe theres a way to make it pop up on the home screen?
4S keeps Asking for Password, it has my id but won't accept my password, I tried to create a new account but I keep getting "This Apple ID has not yet been used in Game Center.....nothing seems to allow me to enter. I am unable to play games on my 4S. I can't even create a new account....nothing I try seems to work.
I just realized that when I made an account on Game Center, I typed in the wrong e-mail address and apple ID. Now when I go to try and change it, it says my Apple ID is already in use by another. I do not see how that is possible as my ID is unique to me (e-mail address) and I use it on Apple.com, iTunes, ect. and it works just fine. I changed my Apple ID when I got my iPhone. I also have an iPod touch, but the Game Center on my iPod was under a different email and old ID that I forgot about. I never used game center on my iPod except for a select few times.
So I found 4 answers. None of them worked. What I've tried:
Soft Reset
Sign out of itunes & App store, reboot, sign in to itunes & app store.
Reset network setting.
Reset All all settings.
Update to IOS 8.1.2
Wipe phone, and restore from backup. This at least fixed the problem where 30GB was used by "Other"Â
Non of these worked. I would have thought that at the very least wiping the phone and restoring should have worked. It is not the network. Tried from WiFi at home, WiFi at work, LTE/4G on mobile operator, and LTE from my ISP with custom APN. Non of them wants to connect. I'm using IOS 8.1.2 on iphone 6.
The only thing I have not tried yet is to wipe the phone and set up as new. not keen to do that right now since I'm at work, and need music more than game centre. Can only sync music at home. Does the phone have an internal hosts file? Any way to access that, or restore to default? Perhaps a way to point it to alternative game centre server in the cluster?
Me and my wife share an iTunes account between our phones. Does this mean we will only be able to setup 1 profile? What happens when we are both trying to use it at once? What happens if we are invited to a game, does both of our phones get the invite?
