IPhone :: Contacts Entered On IPhone Are Not Syncing To Outlook
May 12, 2012
I noticed a number I know I have on the iPhone itself is not in my contacts list in Outlook (on my computer). I have everything checked to sync contacts, calendar, etc. to Outlook.
have an iPhone 3GS and 'upgraded' to iTunes 9.1 yesterday. My PC uses Windows XP running Outlook 2003. Ever since the download I can no longer sync my contacts or calendar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, turned my computer off, reset the Sync history in iTunes and now restored the iPhone - still to no avail. Does anyone have any clues?
When I update/change a contact on my iPhone 4 the change shows on iCloud but doesn't download to my computer Outlook 2010. I don't have this problem with the calendar.
I downloaded the new software for my iPhone 4S, it has stopped syncing my calendar and contacts with my home Outlook. Any new contacts or events I enter into Outlook won't show up on my phone and any new contacts or events I enter in my phone won't show up with Outlook. I use the USB port to sync every few days with my computer. Nothing has been erased, i.e. all my old events and contacts are still there, but nothing new will add. I have not changed any settings on my phone or on itunes, and I even turned off the overall calendar option and selected single calendars to try, but to no avail.
My Outlook stores multiple contacts for the same person automatically (one with an email address only, one with a phone number only, etc.). When my iPhone syncs with the cloud it stores those multiple contacts and makes it frustrating to look up one person's number and email under separate entries. How do I prevent my iPhone from storing the duplicate contacts?
I'm trying to get Outlook for Mac 2011 calendar on my MacBook running Snow Leopard to show up on my new iPhone. Connected by USB, through iTunes. iTunes says it is syncing calendar, but nothing shows up on the iPhone calendar.
Info: iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Outlook for Mac 2011 14.2.2
I want to sync my Outlook contacts with my HTC One but so far have not been able to do so. I tried HTC Sync with no luck, Any good (and not to complicated way) to get my contacts from Outlook to my phone?
I have the BB Curve 8530. A long time ago this once worked and I had 126 contacts on my cell and in outlook. 2 crashed laptops later I have never been successful to get those 126 contacts back in Outlook. I have 2 email accounts set up on my Blackberry. I have tried deleting the service book, deleting and reinstalling the BB Desktop Software and it will only sync the contacts from my gmail account (26 entries) and not the one from my verizon (126 entries)
Is RIM going to fix the problem with latest device update? With the newest update,it kills the syncing of contacts with Outlook. I had to down grade just to get it working again. Gives my a pause when thinking about getting the Playbook, "Will I have issues since I can't upgrade my device?" Rim doesn't seem to have a solution for this, Verizon doesn't have a solution (except to send you a replacement phone)
I never had this problem before. I was syncing my torch contacts with outlook. No problem. Then I upgraded the torch. No I no longer have a default contact list, only AT&T phonebook. I am no longer able to sync with outlook. I can even figure out how to create a different contact list and make it default.
I've just got my new Galaxy S2 and am quite impressed. From mucking about with it, I've sync'd all my Gmail and Yahoo accounts without issue. Then, I tried to sync my Outlook account, but it keeps failing? My outlook is my own privtae Outlook (Pop3) account from home - so not on a work server or network. I've entered all the details, passwords, pop & smtp, etc. but it won't work?nyone got any ideas on how I can complete this? I want to pick up my Outlook emails on the go as it's my main contact email for business and 1000's of people have this address. (Not worried about my contacts or anything just yet, I can always merge these to a Gmail account, but I'm lost without my email.
I just recently upgraded my Xoom to ICS and linked it up to my companies Outlook using Active Exchange. Everything is working fine except for syncing my contacts. I have subfolders under my Contacts folder (e.g. Work, Personal, etc.) that are not visible/syncing. Is there a way either within the native e-mail client or an app that will let me sync the contacts subfolders? I do not want to root the Xoom. My iPhone does this natively but I'm not sure that ICS can.
I am trying to sync organizer data with MS Outlook and cannot select either "Contacts" or "Calendar" on the Desktop Software Organizer tab...it says "syncing wirelessly"...
I have a new Razr Maxx and my email and calendar are syncing with my office Outlook account, but I can't get the contacts to sync. They were loaded originally (at the Verizon Wireless store) off of my old phone, but they will not sync.
Is there an easy way to sync Outlook contacts and calendar without Exchange? This is the only problem I have encountered with my new Bionic. The calendar synced, but I have lost my categories, etc. The contacts synched, but I seem to have three of everything (???). Is there a way to delete all the contacts on the phone and start over? I find it hard to believe someone has not come up with an App to make a direct USB sync with the PC, given the Extensive use of Outlook...
I am considering purchasing a BB Tour 9630. I use the Notes field of MS Outlook contacts extensively. Some of my notes per contact are over 10,000 characters in length. My Palm Treo 700p allows me to view/edit these long notes. Can the notes field of the BB contact manager handle this many characters or will it be truncated to a shorter length? I am a small operation not using an Exchange Server. Also, do I need any other device software than what comes with the BB to sync with my PC's local Outlook PST?
My iPhone 5s was recently upgraded to iOS 8. Since then it will not sync the Calendar items on the iPhone up to Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 computer, through iTunes. I am connected by USB cable to the computer.Â
What I have tried:I upgraded iTunes to 12.0.1.26 this eveningI have rebooted the iPhone and the computerÂ
Calendar items on the iPhone will not upload to Outlook.Â
Items in Outlook will sync DOWN to the iPhone.Â
I have generally been very successful over the last 11 months although the Conflict Resolver has been crashing for about six months. Will post separately on that!
Info: iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.1, Windows 7 desktop, iTunes 12.0.1.26
I'm gonna try and explain this as simply as possible (as it's for my dad, so I'll have to explain it to him the same way)! My dad likes using the native IPhone 3G calendar for keeping his appointments. However, he doesn't use the calendar in Outlook, so when he needs to enter something into the IPhone calendar, he has to do it right on the phone.
What he'd like to do is be able to enter the info into a PC-based calendar via the keyboard (he says it's much faster because of the amount of info he's entering), and then have it sync the info into the IPhone calendar. Again, He does not use outlook calendar. So what I'm basically asking is this is there a PC-based calendar program that he could use that would then allow ITunes to sync his PC-based calendar to his IPhone calendar?
My iphone always used to sync my outlook calendar from my desktop computer to my iphone and ipad whenever I connected the device to the desktop. Something has happened and now no matter what setting I change the outlook calendar will not show on either device.
I have an iPhone which now has iOS 5 on it. Recently I had to get a new computer, but it's an old model, running Microsoft XP and Outlook 2002. I successfully synched my iPhone with everything except Outlook. Does anyone have any advice on how to get my contacts from my phone to Outlook? Note: I have tried entering a dummy contact before syncing, but that didn't work for me. Is my Outlook just too old? The syncing worked with the same version of Outlook on my old computer.
How can I block email from accessing my i-phone? How can I prevent Outlook from syncing with my i-phone? THis was not a problem before updating to the new 5.1 version.
I have a Macbook Pro OS X 10.9.3, iTunes 11.4, Outlook for Mac 2011 14.4.4 I can not get my iPhone 5S to sync with Outlook calendar. I have read through many forums and most posts are regarding PC users.Â
How can I get my iPhone 4G to sync the contacts in my Outlook 2010 (and vise versa) which is installed on my HP with Windows 7 64 Bit Operating System?Â
