Want to access internet on my gaming PC. Have iPhone 4s. I do not have access to internet from another source.
Do I need iTunes on the PC to allow the iPhone 4s to connect PC to internet (drivers installed from iTunes)?
If so, how do I download iTunes to the PC? Is there a CD available? Can I copy setup from my iMac or PC laptop?

I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

When I want to connect to the internet, a message pops up with this message: "connection failed, access denied". I tried different settings and also different sim cards. I even can't connect with WiFi, it gives the same message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just updated my N8 from symbian anna to belle. Everything went ok. Now I'm trying to connect to my home wifi network which has WEB security. I can connect without a problem. I mean the phone says it's connected to the network. But when I try to access a website there is only the error page. And after a minute or so the wifi connection drops out by itself. I saved the network, and there's no other destination in the settings/destinations menu. the phone is not connecting to it by itself. Is there a way to go back to Anna?

I am new to the forum and have just bought my very first Blackberry, its the 8120 pearl on the Orange uk network. I've had the phone for a week now and just cant get on the internet, when i try to access, say Yahoo, this message come up "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again". My question is is this phone Wi-Fi only or can i connect thru the old way like i used to do on the Nokia's?

I've been looking at the options and a tenner a month seems alright. But you only get 3GB for that. But just a bit of internet surfing, IM, etc would that probably be ok? I know its easy to underestimate what you use. But not sure I'll have that much time to use it at any rate as at work I'll obviously use their internet, it's only when I'm at the flat! Also anyone used the o2 service, any good? Easy to set up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHere is the setup, iPhone 4S, apple tv 2, on a gig LAN at home. DIR655 is the router. No Internet access at home though. I want fit be able to stream say crackle from my phone to the apple tv. As of now it's not working, since there is no internet access at home as soon as I join the network I'm cut off from any online access. No emails, browsing, or streaming videos. Now, I know that it's possible because it did it about two weeks ago, I was able to join the network at home and still browse and stream videos from the phone. And it does it briefly during a reboot of the router. It won't give the wifi bars on the header but it will give me an AirPlay icon and recognize the apple tv2.
Solutions which have been suggested and failed:
- Disabled the dns relay within the router settings.
- Changed the DNS servers to 4.2.2.2/3.

My iPhone 4s is no longer accessing the internet, despite the fact that it is successfully connecting to my home wifi network. It was working up until late last week and seeing the new patch/update (which I downloaded and applied) thought it would fix it, unfortunately it didn't.
I have done a quick search through the regualr channels and googled to problem, and I didn't change anything to do with my network before it stopped working and obviously my computer and interent are still operational.

i have called on my network carrier and inputed the correct cellular data which was given to me, the APN, username and password haved been inputed correctly but no positive response is coming up. also troubleshooted manually but all to no avail.Â

But the internet service provider upgraded this equipment, replacing it with an ARRIS Touchstone Data Gateway DG1670 cable modem with Wi-Fi capability. Unfortunately, I have discovered that I'm unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi, while using my iPhone 3GS, running iOS 6.1.6. I am completely able to connect my MacMini, a smart-TV, and an iPhone 5 to this ARRIS device with Wi-Fi. Â
I have contacted my internet service provider and they tell me that the problem is with my iPhone 3GS, not with their equipment. We very meticulously went through all the troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I have also read all the Apple Knowledge Base articles here about configuring an iPhone 3GS properly, and I have also followed Apple Knowledge Base articles concerning optimal configuration of an internet modem with Wi-Fi capability. I like my iPhone 3GS, it works well, but now I cannot sync it to iCloud, and now I must have Wi-Fi turned off to make it usable. I also understand that iOS 6.1.6 will be the last upgrade for the iPhone 3GS. If this is true, then I'm sadly disappointed with Apple's inability to keep up with technology.
