Aug 26, 2010where is the setting for controlling the auto signature on outgoing email? Every email that I send adds my name at the bottom. Can I turn that off/on or change the signature?

I forward a copy of all work email to my gmail account so I can receive it on my iPhone, but when I reply to work email, the Reply To address is my gmail address. Anyone know how to change this to reflect my work address? (ie: joe@abc.com)

Apr 8, 2011I do not own a Blackberry myself but I need some advice for many of my clients who owns one.
I provide a Website Hosting & Email service for our clients.
Some of our clients read and reply to their email that we host using their blackberries; the problem that we now have is that the blackberry stores the replies on our mail servers and not on the blackberry device itself. I own an iPhone 4 and I have an option to either store my email replies on the mail server or on the iPhone itself.
If I store the messages I sent on the iPhone, I can later synchronize all my replies with my Outlook on either my laptop or my desktop computer using iTunes.
What I need to know, does the Blackberry have a similar feature or setting to do this?

Nov 14, 2012I've had a Galaxy G2 for several months now and all of a sudden the outgoing email facility no longer works. If I try to reset the outgoing email settings, everything is fine and the test appears successful. But when I try to send email I find that I receive message 'Connection error'. I am currently set to send emails without signing on, the port number is 25 and the SMTP server is [URL] I have tried signing in and changing the smtp address to others suggested on other sites, i.e [URL], but setup is never completed.

Dec 11, 2011I need to set my outgoing work email (SMTP) server port number to 587 and connection security to TLS. However, I can't see an option to set either the port number nor the security to TLS. SSL security can be turned on/off, but no mention of TLS.
I have read elsewhere that setting the server name as <server name> : <port number> can be used (that is, using a colon to separate the server name from the port number), but still this does not allow for selecting TLS security.
My incoming email, IMAP, works fine, so my connection/username/password etc. should all be fine.

now when i do a email message it doesnt send when i choose send in any new email message. it seems a bug, because it does not quit of the send option, it appears a little window sending email, but it does not send. then if i try to get out the only options are delete/save to drafts.

May 25, 2012Periodically I find my outgong emails (via Outlook) being dumped in the Drafts folder when I send them. Some time later (might be a few seconds, sometimes longer) I find a message in the in-box which says something like 'Windows Phone is unable to send your mail'. I assume this happens in poor signal conditions altough it does happen when the phone appears to be reporting a strong signal. Once in the drafts folder, I don't seem to be able to send the mail message from there - I have to move it before I can send it.
I can't find any documentation of theis behaviour so I don't know if it's supposed to do this; the circumstances under which it happens; and whether I can configure it to do something else
This is irritating on so many levels. Why doesn't the phone just leave the message in the outbox until it has connectiviity? If it's not going to send the message, why not tell me then? As it is, I often miss the failure message so I don't realise the message has not been sent until a long time after. And why can't I simply click on the message in draft and select 'send' from there?
Motorola Droid Razr :: Optimum Email Outgoing Mail Settings?
Feb 6, 2012I have an email account at optonline.net (could be optimum.net, too). Motorola's support section says that Optimum recommends using a browser to access mobile email (what???? I have to go get it??? It won't come to me???) but then provides the settings to use in the email app. Using auto configuration, I'm receiving my email in seconds, but I can't send email from the phone. I've tried to configure it manually (the automatic configuration provides the wrong name for the outgoing server) but so far, no combination of settings has resulted in my ability to send an email from optimum on my Droid Razr.

Mar 20, 2010i just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

Feb 3, 2011I have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?

Apr 8, 2012Although I have connected my AT&T email to my iPhone and iPad in the past, they have stopped working. I now am unable to get a connection to AT&T email using their settings. I have even used the new servicers, outbound.att.net and inbound.att.net to no avail. I have tried it with and without SSL. the message just keeps saying that my username or password is incorrect, and I know that this is not true. AT&T refuses to help with email connections to any mobile device. Does anyone have any suggestions?
