I deleted an old email address from my iPhone and added a new account. The phone is pulling the new account's information. Tunes is worrying me, though. In my iTunes settings for my iPhone, under the "info" tab and in the "sync mail accounts" section, my previous email address is used for the server name.
So it says:
Gmail (IMAP:oldaddress@imap.gmail.com)
Instead of:
Gmail (IMAP:newaddress@imap.gmail.com)
I have a BlackBerry Curve 9300 and a few days ago I added a new e-mail account and synchronized my contact list with the e-mail account without realizing it. So I deleted the e-mail account so it would stop synchronizing and it didn't. Today, I deleted a contact from the e-mails contact list through the computer and since then every time I tried to open that entry the contact app freezed. Then I deleted the contact entry and now I cannot add any other contacts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i bought my iphone i kept my old number for ease but when i have synced to itunes it is showing the number given with the phone which has never before been a problem but now i have updated to 5.1 it is causing a problem with imessages as it is sending them to other iphones as my original iphone number causing people to think i had changed number. I have disabled i messages for now until i can fix. my itunes account has my number i use so not sure what to do next?

I had a .MAC account which became a MobleMe and then I transitioned to iCloud. I just received a new iPhone 4S and, when setting up the iCloud account on the new iPhone I typed the email address incorrectly. How can I delete the new account, which has the correct Apple ID and wrong email address? I have gone to AppleID@Apple.com and verified the correct email address is connected to my Apple ID. At iCloud.com/#mail I went to preferences and can add or delete an alias email address but can not delete the primary. When I try to change the email it says that email is already taken.

I have set up my HughesNet email account on my EX124G. I can receive email messages but cannot send them. I have set up the email account according to HugheNets instructions. Their instructions were to use incoming server mail.hughes.net and outgoing server smtp.hughes.net with authentication. Anything beyond that, they want me to contact the phone manufacturer. Because I can receive email I believe I have the settings correct, but I have tried just about everything I can think of and can't send email from the phone. I receive a "wrong account settings" message after sending. Is there something in the settings that I am missing?

I've created a new mail account and the mail icon shows 3 messages.
Touching the 'mail' icon brings up the usual list of mail services but my new account doesn't appear.
In 'Settings' my new account is there.
Why doesn't it show up in the 'Mail' list?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIPhone 4 running 4.0.1. Happened on 4.0 as well. This is the second time this has happened. Look at the center email...anything look funny? It won't let me delete and eventually changes to a date in the year 2000 then randomly will go away. It just shows up on it's own. Email setup with default gmail account settings.
