Mar 14, 2012I used to have an iPhone 3GS and upgraded to an iPhone 4S a few months ago. I haven't synced my iPhone in months, and when I connected to the iTunes today, it prompted to upgrade to a newer iOS version. Upon completion of the upgrade/sync, it prompted to name the new iPhone as the old iPhone name. Without thinking twice, I cliced okay. Then I noticed all the photos, videos, new contacts, text messages, calendar, etc. were all gone! The last backup on my old iPhone was October 2011, apparently, I lost all data from October 2011 to now!
Is there any way I can recover the photos, videos, contacts, calendar, etc. on the new iPhone after it's been synced with the last sync dated October 2011?

Nov 15, 2015My Nexus 5 is rooted and in the past OTA updates have always worked just fine. I don't use a custom recovery. However, the November Android security update fails. I was thinking this was because BBS was installed as a system app. After uninstalling that it still doesn't work. The only other thing I use is Adaway, so I reverted back to the original hostfile and also uninstalled BusyBox. Still no dice. Or is it perhaps Marshmallow OTA updates simply won't work if the phone is rooted? How come in the past I've been able to do OTA updates with my phone being rooted?
What can I do to get the update? Does that mean I have to basically lose my user data every month to do an OTA update now and reroot my device

We have done everything in the post stating that you need to run the commands to set an accepted domain and make sure there are no spaces in the domain name. We are still experiencing random "this message has not been downloaded" or "this message has no content" errors on our IOS devices. I was able to find one thing in common with all of the problematic messages and that is the internet header is missing the following lines:

May 14, 2012I can't seem to send my own content mp3 files (home made) in a text message to people. Also, getting these mp3's into my phone seems to be more of a headache than it should be. I would like to be able to just have a "sync folder" I could synce my home made mp's to like you can for photos or voice notes or ringtones but for my mp3's.. But no, I have to go through iTunes and it just makes it a hassle and quite frankly puts my phone and apple in more control of MY OWN CONTENT than they need to be. Also, once my own content mp3's are in my phone, its like I have no control over them. They go to this place where my phone has all the control, I can't delete them directly from my phone, I can't email or text them to people...All the time from other people without iPhones I get mp3 files of funny skits, or jokes, etc.. Or more importantly our own content made songs. But I can't seem to do that with my iPhone. Can someone explain to me how I can ? Or explain to me why Apple has so much control over my own content if it is in a mp3 format on my iPhone ?
