Mar 18, 2012After updating to iOS 5.1 in my iPhone 4s, I can see that in the home screen, the calender is showing one day earlier that the current date i.e. today is 19-Mar-2012 but at my home page it is showing Sun-18 which is incorrect. But when I click on the calander it shows me the correct today date "19-Mar-2012".

Nokia :: N97 Homescreen Not Showing Received Texts
Mar 18, 2010This has been happening for several weeks now I get 0 warning that I have received a text message. No icon, no popup on the screen, no message tone, nothing.The only way I can tell whether I've received a text message is by checking my inbox.This is getting beyond a joke, I'm now on my second n97 since the last one bricked itself, the lock slide button has fallen off this one and now it's not telling me when I get texts.

Jan 14, 2010I had to transfer my info to a new phone, now none of the calendar entries are showing on the home screen. i've got 2 new calendars that i've never seen before, device default and unknown. those are in addition to my email calendar. DD = green, my email = blue, and unknown = yellow. the original entires are all green and DO NOT show up on the homescreen. any new ones i enter are yellow and DO show on home screen. any ideas why this is happening? i have a lot of future entires that i dont want to re-enter.

May 10, 2015Long time iPhone user and just transitioned to Android. Just got a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it's been quite a learning experience so far. So is there a way to lock the homescreen and the apps that are displayed there? The wife is having a problem where she can just be holding her phone in her palm and when she looks at her phone the next time, most of her apps are missing. Is there anyway you can lock the apps in place? I know with the iphone there are a few things needed to make apps disappear (hold icon, hit "X", tap on DELETE. All pretty specific spots within the screen that need to be tapped.

Jan 15, 2010After upgrading to v40, I've compared the new homescreen to the old homescreen and to the old homescreen with v21-31, these are my findings.
- The old homescreen on v40 does not have the email notification that Nokia introduced a short while ago and which was obviously VERY well recieved globally.
- The new homescreen on v40 has kinetic scrolling contacts which is, um, cute. It has the ability to control the music player (What I found to be very buggy, crashing it by simply pressing 'forward' when it's playing a folder with 1 song).
- The new homescreen on v40 does not have calendar and tasks, probably for the space the new music player-thing takes. This was my FAVORITE thing on the homescreen and I am sure I'm not alone.
I truly hope Nokia addresses these issues by either returning the email notifications to the old homescreen or somehow allowing to see the calendar and tasks on the new homescreen. Or both.

Jun 26, 2012I have recently moved to a new MBP. I have synced my iPhone apps (394) to iTunes on the new computer. They show up on iTunes. However, only 200 of them are displayed on the iPhone, despite iTunes saying that I have all 395 apps ready.
Moreover, they appear in random order. Which is really a bad surprise knowing the amount of work put in arranging them.

However, when I look on the Ipad it is showing the purchase (even on the itunes, account history. Apr 2, 2012I bought AppleTV today with the intention to stream A/V and show/listen to applications which run on my iPhone. The result was that I could install a remote controll app on my iPhone for the AppleTV, but I still cannot stream any content directly from my iPhone on the TV sceen cannot. Is this possible at all. I am interested to see and listen to some text-to-speech apps on my TV. There are possibly other interesting iPhone apps for a big screen. But I am disappointed from what AppleTV delivers to this moment: only available comtent on the Internet and my PCs/macs via iTunes.

Aug 3, 2010Is anyone else having this problem? Randomly, when I exit an app all of the Apps I have hidden will randomly show up in the springboard. A respring usually fixes this, but the last time I resprung it all of my folders disappeared dumping everything onto the springboard. REALLY annoying. Im trying to figure out what is causing it. Possibly iRealSMS. Anyone else experiencing this?

IPhone :: 4 Not Staying On After Restoring?
May 5, 2012It just started yesterday. The phone would shut off randomly and then the only way for it to come back up is to plug it in. Sometime it complete shut off where I would have to turn it back on or plugging it would just go straight to the home screen. Now the phone wont go past the apple sign at all. I got to the home screen two times today and one time it it had no connection and lost service and then it came back and then it had no service again. So I turned it off to try and get signal again.
Eventually it came back on and the phone worked for about 2 minutes and then just complete shut off while still plugged in. I am now trying to restore it and it keeps shutting of mid restore and then I have to keep putting it back into DFU mode or however you spell it. The phone has the most up to date firmware but do I need to start the download over if the phone cycled randomly while it the download was still downloading from itunes or do I just put it back into that mode and let it continue downloading?

May 26, 2012I made a call this morning and then I put it in my back pocket. Ten minutes later when I was going to use it the screen would not come on. I thought it was turned off but it would not turn on when i held down the sleep button and when I called my phone it didn't go strait to voice mail so I know it is still on. I know it isn't dead becuase I fully charged it last night. When I plugged it in to the charger it didn't vibrated like usual. Also when I plugged it into my computer it wouldnt show up on iTunes. I'm at a complete loss of what to do.

Nov 30, 2014Skype was working okay, but today, when I tried to call someone from my phone, it said i had to allow skype to use the mic, but I had already done that. I still went to privacy settings, but no apps showed up there. But on the camera, while I had multiple apps that use it, none showed up either. In fact, tthe only privacy setting working right was location services!
