Apr 7, 2012I got a tiny bit of water on it put it in rice and now it works fine except that the volume bar is missing with and without headphones. The silver buttons on the side also don't work.

Sep 11, 2014My volume doesn't work with or without headphones. When I try to turn up my volume the ringer shows but there isn't any white dots showing how high my volume is. When I watch a video, I can't slide my volume up because the bar isn't there. My volume will sometimes work and then stop in the middle of a song. also my phone will only ring sometimes when I receive a call. I can't listen to music with my headphones and I can't listen to music through my speakers. But when I use an iPod Dock through USB then my volume will work so I think phone jack is broken...

Volume buttons work fine, up and down.As soon as I plug any headphones/speaker, I am able to turn the volume up using the side buttons, but not down. I have gone through all of the sound, ipod, and general settings on the phone but cannot find a way to fix this. Btw, the IPhone is Jailbroken, so I would like to refrain from simply trying to update the IOS.

Jan 31, 2010Not sure if theres a defect on my S2, or if they changed how the volume keys work from the S1, but on my S1, I could press the volume keys up or down and the ringer volume would change, from silent all the way up to loud.
But on my Storm2, the volume keys don't do anything. At first I thought the phone had a defect and the keys didnt work, but I installed QuickLaunch and I'm able to scroll through the QL menu using the volume keys. So the question is, can you guys control the ringer volume using the volume keys? Or do the volume keys not work that way on the S2?

Aug 4, 2015Yesterday the volume down button and power button started not working. This has happened before and usually if I turn it off and on again the problem is fixed. That's not working this time. The power button works about 2/3rds of the time and the down volume button won't work at all, it sometimes even lowers the volume by itself. Because of this problem, whenever I turn the phone off and on again it brings me to the fastboot page and puts my phone on safemode, which I can't get out of. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, doing a factory data reset, and using recovery mode.

For example, I open up media player, put on an mp3, but it is too low to be able to hear so I click the volume button to increase it but it just does nothing. I have threw my Blackberry once or twice in frustration since I got it for Christmas. I imagine this might have something to do with the fault but I don't know for sure.
