IPhone :: 4 Saying I Do Not Have Enough Room To Install A 1.5GB App When I Have 4GB Free
May 14, 2012
Today I went onto the apps store on my Iphone 4 and tried to download N.O.V.A 3 but it came up with a message saying I don't have enough free space. So I click on the settings tap and it closes the message, last OS update it use to take me to the settings but now it just closes. So I open the settings myself and see I have 4GB free. What the? N.O.V.A 3 is 1.5GBs in size, my phone and if I plug it into Itunes is telling me I have 4GBs left yet I don't have enough room to install a 1.5GB game.
Dunno if this could be related, but 2 OS updates ago there was a bug that caused the phone to give you a incorrect space value. Back then it was saying I had a significant amount of free space more than what I actually had. For instance it would say I have 2GB left but if I went to Itunes it would say the correct ammount of a few MBs. But that's not the problem now, ever since I updated to the latest OS instead of Itunes being right and the phone being wrong, either both are right or both are wrong so to speak. I could wipe app by app untill it says I have enough room left but syncing them back accross will take hours so id rather not do that unless i have to.
i keep getting a random pop up that says I don't have enough room to back up to icloud. I find this strange since I have no music on my phone. I do have pictures and a few videos but probably nothing like what most teens have on their phones.I would like to back up some pictures and make sure I don't loose my contacts how can I do that?
I can connect to my WiFi in the room where the modem is but when I go upstairs to my bedroom, I lose connection. What can I do? I have an iPhone 5 on the latest iOS.
How much free RAM are you guys seeing on your N5's after the lollipop update?
After a fresh boot, and opening an app or two, my free memory is running between 250-450mb. After I open too many apps, some won't open, or others start closing. I am handicapped in using my beloved N5.
I have an iPhone 5S, with iOS 8.1.2Â I am trying to do a system restore but the message I get on the desktop is that there is not enough room on the iPhone. How much room is required?Â
I had an important app. (Memos by bluemarblesoftware.com) that I accidentally deleted. It of course had many memos, some with quite a lot of information. I did sync my phone on a regular basis and I think the memos should be on the desktop computer. I tried to do a restore function but I got a message saying there was not enough room on the iPhone. How much room is needed?

I'm trying to install the free navigation update on my phone and it keeps failing. I am running software version 21.2.045 but can't seem to get the update to install. I had free navigation but my license has not expired so I would like to install the free update. I tried downloading it to my PC to see if I could install it that way vs the phone but I cannot find a PC download anywhere.
I'm running the latest .587 ICS update on my phone. Since the update, I'm unable to install any further applications on the phone due to "insufficient memory". This would be fine if the Storage showed the Phone memory to be full, but it indicates there is 'free' memory (51MB free apparently). I have also installed App2SD to move all possible apps to the SD card (2GB, 504MB Available).
I'd really like to be able to watch movies in my dorm, and I just got a new Vizio TV from walmart. If I have the netflix app on my iphone, how would I go about connecting the iphone to the TV, to take advantage of the unlimited movies? What exactly do I need to buy, and would the output be high quality and worth it?
Oh, and I'm not considering doing it through my computer because my internet usage is somewhat monitored, and my university will bill me if I go over. I have 5 bars anyways so it's not that big of a deal.
On my 32G iphone 4, the auto brightness option gives a very dim screen in a dark room. Tried to search a little, seems many users reported the same behavior. I wonder if this is the same to every iphone 4 out there. This is very annoying, making the phone almost unusable in dark environment.
I have free space of 49MB in internal memory but no matter how many time I've tried to install the 25MB apps, it asked me to free up some space and try again!
I keep getting notifications that my storage is getting low; even after I deleted a couple apps and a bunch of pictures. I went to Settings > Storage and I saw that "System & other" is taking up 9.66GB. Is it supposed to be taking up this much? If not, what can I do to reduce this? Then, when I go to Content to try to delete some things, it lists "Browser" and "Miscellaneous." I don't understand what exactly is under these tabs. If I click "Browser," I see a lot of "IMAG" along with music files that are on my phone. So if I delete these items, does it mean I am deleting those specific pictures and music tracks from my phone altogether? If so, then why aren't they solely under "Music" or "Photos"? Also with Misc.; When I click it, I see things labelled such as Snapchat or Tumblr.
I was using AK notepad and it wouldn't let me pin a note to the furtherest left homescreen. That screen is totally blank. It said homescreen didn't have room and out the note on the next page over.I can then grab the note and drag it to the blank homescreen.I deleted the app and installed classic notes but it does the same behavior. Why would it do this on that screen?
My E6 shows no signal inside room (I tested by changing SIM to Nokia 5233 which shows 4 lines in the sames place). Outside the signal strength fluctuates.
Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?
Does anyone have a nokia phone from years back with expess on covers? think the its the 3210 i had I lost the back and if you caught the little metal strip antenna with your hand it killed the signal and droped the call!
Is this whats happening here? It seems the more I read the threds this could be happening with the iphone 4!?
First of all, for some reason Nokia have decided to categories Artists AND Albums together, rather than have a separate Artists category and separate Albums category. It seems to work fine if you have an album from a single artist, but seems to be messed up if you have compilation albums (Such as the NOW albums)For example:I know I have Cheryl Cole's "Fight For This Love" on my memory card, which is on NOW 74 Disc I. However, there are no listings for Cheryl Cole, and there is no way for me to browse via album name. Instead, it can weirdly be found listed under Little Boots, along with other tracks from that album.
It seems a little backwards to me, and an illogical way of doing things. I would have much preferred to have had separate options for Artist and Albums. I know I have at least two Cheryl Cole tracks on my memory card, yet the software doesn't seem to recognise them at all, despite the track tags being up-to-date (They appear on all my other phones). This also happens for many other multi-artist albums.
I also found that the equaliser is limited to only five built-in presets, and there doesn't seem to be an option to set the levels yourself, as you could previously on other Nokia handsets in the past. Nokia also seem to be pimping the Shuffle mode on almost every screen in the music player - Moreso than seems normal I think there is definitely room for improvement in regards to the music listening experience, and it feels as if Nokia haven't quite finished the design. If anything, they've broken what was previously a perfect interface on models such as the N91, N82, N95, and N96 et al...
I have bought new iPhone 4s and I am trying to download some free apps on my iPhone but whenever I try To install a free app first it ask for my I'd and password which I enter and then it ask for I'd and password again To pay for a free app But why shall I pay it's free Every time same problem occurs whenever I try to download any free app?
I've bought a SIM-free S2 from Amazon but, upon reading up on the 4.0 software update I've learnt about the 'CSC' code. Apparently Sim-free phone should have XED or something similar.
Im trying to Install Bell's BB OS 5 but it says "Only active blackberry subscribers are entitled to install this Blackberry Device Software..."I got everything set up today (BIS and Data package), so im not sure what's going on...
Recently i bought Xperia X10. I bought in Singapore. And am using the mobilenow in Singapore. And i updated my Android verson in my mobile.* While i am trying to install games in my Xperia X10 Mobile, Getting message like - For Security, Your phone is set to block installationof applications not sourced in Android Market.
I will be getting the iPhone sometime as I need to save up a couple more weeks. So then I get no free bumper? I don't understand why apple is not giving free?
I have a JB'd 3GS 32GB (via Blackra1n) and it's been perfect for a while now.All of a sudden yesterday I added a few tracks and this morning I get a message that there is no space available. There was 9GB of free space available the day before today. I went into the "about" area and it says 0 bytes available?
Any way to restore back my space? I don't really want to re-jail break it, it's too customized.
I'm looking for the iPhone sim free primarily for storing my audible collection and sms. I came across this website after a bit of googling and I'm not sure whether to sign up. It offers an iPhone for free, provided you complete a free trial offer and ask some friends to do the same. It seems pretty legit, it has a video from the BBC & CNN but I'm not sure.
Some people are salivating at the thought of getting a free bumper from Apple. Others think that the bumper is and ugly and wouldn't want it even if free. Some say the real problem has nothing to do with the antenna- it is the proximity sensor. What do you REALLY want from Apple?
